Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments You never know it could go another week, depending on what is rolled. There'd have to be a team at 74 to have a guaranteed winner on the next roll.

Unbreak My Heart (Unbreak My Heart, #1) by K-lee Klein Unbreak My Heart by K-lee Klein Book 1 of Unbreak My Heart series

Date Finished: 6/7
Pages: 387
Rating: 4 stars

Review: I freely admit I picked this book simply for the cover I only glanced at the summary so I wasn't expecting to much from this book. Turns out it was a very nice slow burn relationship dealing more with getting past the loss of an old lover than anything else. It was nice to see Brett slowly unwind from his grief with JT patiently waiting for him.

This is a slow burn relationship of epic portions but I enjoyed the tension and the caring that went into JT waiting. The book does feel a little lopsided in that it focuses so very heavily on Brett we don't get to see alot of JT's problems and feelings outside of his reactions to Brett. but other than that I just enjoyed watching JT unbreak Brett's heart.

The Present (Malory-Anderson Family, #6) by Johanna Lindsey The Present by Johanna Lindsey (#6 Malory-Anderson Family)

Date Finished 6/8
Pages: 352
Rating: 5*
Review:
The Malory's celebrate Christmas all together in Haverston. Jason Malory lives at Haverston and all the Malory's come to visit for the Holiday. You have James, Georgina, Anthony, Roslyn, Derek, Kelsey, Edward, Charlotte, Reggie, Nicholas, Amy, Warren and all their children.

When all the families start arriving a mysterious present appears in one of the rooms. There is no note, no card or anything to say who it is from. When Amy first sees the present she has a feeling but then the feeling leaves. It is when all the family is there that Amy feels that this present will tell them about their grandmother and who she really is.

One night Amy talks Warren into going down and opening the present. It seems they are not the only ones that have thought of this. Soon the room fills up with all the adults. Amy opens the gift and they discover that it is sealed with a padlock and leather straps. They finally cut the straps and a letter falls out. Once the letter is read they realize that they must read the journal that their Grandfather Christopher and Grandmother Anastasia truth will be revealed to them.

I found the story interesting and entertaining. I saw all the different personalities in Christopher and Ana in all their children. I look forward to reading the next Malory novel.

Reily Pie is an amazing character and that is what helped keep my interest through out the book.I loved the fact that she thinks that she is such a badass but, she does realize that just because she's a badass doesn't mean that she can't rely on others for help as well.I love Eli he is a great character.Reily and Eli were great together

Belinda | 461 comments Hey guys, just letting you know I won't be able to finish my book this week. I made the mistake of picking an extra long book and then life kicked me in the guts. I've been off work sick with migraines and my best friend is in for a preventative double mastectomy tomorrow.
I'll roll as usual using the free pass if everyone else has their reviews in on time. Sorry!

Review:

This started out quite slow and I had a hard time getting into it. But luckily it picked up.
Phinnegan Qwyk an Irish boy loves to read fairy tales and then one night he meets Periwinkle Lark a fae and gets dragged into the place beyond the map.
Now starts a quest to get back home at the same time as preventing an evil fae gaining more power. Phinnegan meets all kinds of fairy tale characters but they are not all as he expected.
This was a cute read. The biggest problem with this book is the ending, it suggests a sequel as a lot of things are still unanswered. I have looked but I just can't find any suggestion of a sequel.

Jane | 976 comments @ Belinda: No need to apologize. The rest of us have finished our books and this is a perfect time to use the free pass. This is what it was meant for.

Hope you are getting better and wishing your friend all the best as that must have been a hard decision to make. Also hoping for a speedy recovery for her with this major surgery.

Review:
Although I love this series I feel I may be experiencing series overload with the dark heavens. Some of the storyline a are repetitive and the interplay between human name, Chinese/mythical name and nickname are getting confusing as there are now so many characters and remembering who is who and how the relate to the story is getting difficult too but it may be because if the huge time between books. I will be continuing on as I really want to see how it all ends.

Better late than never.....

Lesser Evils (Infected, #6) by Andrea Speed Lesser Evils Book 6 of the Infected Series

Date Finished: 6/15
Pages: 376
Rating: 5 stars

Review:This book feels a little different from the others as Rohan's spiral downward on all the different fronts of his live is front and center while the investigation part of the book takes a back seat. There are still cases but they really aren't solved in any meaningful way. Instead the virus and what it is doing to him continues too take its toll on both Rohan and Dylan. The tension rackets up even more where I can't see it going on for too much longer. Holden takes up a great deal more of the book as he slots into the investigator role as Rohan deals with his own health issues.

What's really interesting about this book is that it brings back some of the first issues that first pulled me into the first book. It starts to deal more and more with what is happening to the virus people as non-infected become more afraid of them. I have no clue how this series is going to end but these books are some of the best shifter ones I've read.

This book was an amazing thrill ride.Celia turns down a case. But,that still doesn't stop a very evil mage from threatening her and all her friends. She also manger to forgive herself from not being able to save her sister's life when they were children.Which was what Ivy needed to move on to the afterlife
