Review:I won this book through Librarything's Early Reviewers program. I found the story very cute. The characters are Emily, Maggie, Ben, Tyler and Francis. Emily is a young girl of a rich family that visits Nantucket during the summer. Maggie, Ben, Tyler, and Francis are all island people. They live on Nantucket all year.
Francis is the mother of Ben and Maggie. She is a single mother that sews clothes for the locals and those that come during the summer. Tyler is Maggie's best friend on the island. Emily and Maggie are best friends too.
Your first meet them as they are young girls and call themselves Nantucket Sisters. Emily's family tries to tell her that she should be socializing with her own kind. Emily doesn't understand and enjoys spending time with Maggie and her brother Ben.
The years pass and you see them as they grow up. The changes they go through. The friendships change, and possibly end forever. Emily loves Ben and yet will they ever be together forever. Maggie doesn't realize who she loves at first. I loved the story and seeing how the relationships changed throughout time. I look forward to reading more books by Nancy Thayer.

I can't wait for the next roll!!

This was a totally different experience reading Allie's world from Shame's perspective but it did allow for some major insights into the odd relationship between Shame & Terric. There were love interests introduced, new pathways for the characters to pursue and revisiting old theory's/characters. You definitely need to finish the Allie Beckstrom series before starting on the spin off but I think it'll end up just as good :)

Thanks.

We are on 25 right? So either a book 2 or 5 in a series?

Thanks for filling in :D

Review:I liked this almost as well as the first one. Although I did miss Kelsier as a mentor for Vin, I did like watching her try to deal with him being gone and the legacy that he saddled her with. There were several new characters that appeared this time around OreSeur being the most interesting of the lot. I loved his relationship with Vin and how it evolves throughout the book from almost hostile to friendship. Zane was another central character that I didn't like as well. I never got exactly what his purpose was and if the voice was actually linked the the well of ascension or not.
This book felt a little bit slower paced than the first but was filled with a lot more tension and suspense as I waited to see who, how, or if the city would be taken. Also the puzzle of the Well kept me from putting the book down until the end. With the end of this book I'm eager to see how Elend's new abilities will change things with Vin and how the now diminished crew will fix the new problems that have been unleashed.

Whilst this one flowed along nicely with lots of action and mythology references I didn't quite enjoy it as much as the first. Second book let down theory?? But overall I enjoyed the introduction of new characters, plots and redefining old characters.

Review: I have wanted to read Johanna Lindsey for a few years now. A Heart So Wild is set in Kansas in 1868. The two main characters are Chandos and Courtney. When the first meet in 1868 it is not a pleasant one. Courtney is traveling with her father and step-mother from the east coast. They have stopped at a farm for the night and that farmer is attached by Indians for his role in the brutal murders and rapes of a Comanche tribe.
Courtney and her step mother Sarah are told to hide in the feed storage so they are protected from the Indians. They are discovered but not hurt because when Chandos sees Courtney he feels that she reminds him of his sister that was murdered and raped by the white man and he cannot to that to her.
Four Years later Sarah has re-married because she thinks Courtney's father is dead. Courtney works in the hotel that Sarah's husband owns. She keeps old newspapers just to know what is going on outside of Kansas. That is when she sees an picture of her father in a Texas papers. She is determined go to Waco to find him.
A gunslinger comes to town and that is who Courtney decides should take her to Waco. He will not do it at first. He is drawn to her and tells her to be ready in an hour. The tension between the two is just unnerving. They are attracted to each other but both are too stubborn to admit it. Courtney does not know that the gunslinger she is with is the Indian she met 4 years before. She just knows that she trusts him and his blue eyes.
I loved the whole story. The attacks that they went through. Chandos attacking Courtney to try and teach her that she should't have trusted him. Him not being able to hurt her and also him wanting to protect her from the beginning. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Oh my god I loved it. It was a bit slow in the beginning but, then it picked up and I was shocked at what happen I didn't see that coming. But we knew it would have happen sometime. Another book in this great series. I loved the new characters the (elves). I am looking forward to where this is leading to in the next book in the series.
Belinda did your husband finish the book? Did he like it? What about you will you read this series? Me I love this series.

Lately I have just not been in the mood for reading, I did read over the weekend but just haven't read anything since.
But as I know we all have to give in our reviews before the next roll is possible I finally pulled myself together tonight while listening to the Eurovision semifinal in the background.

Review:
As it is about 9 months since I read the first book, it took me a bit of time to get all the characters sorted.
Frey was bound which meant she had no memory of her previous life or her powers. During this book she slowly regains both. It becomes obvious that her previous self was a complete different person to the one she is now and I am looking forward to see how she copes with that in the next book.
She has some very loyal friends. But as she now starts to remember things again and remember her friends together with her enemies, she is unsure of their loyalty.
It is interesting to see her relationship with Chevelle as he remember their past and she doesn't.
I am glad I finally got round to reading this sequel.

Lately I have just not be..."
I haven't been reading alot of fantasy books lately and it seems all of them I've pick this year except of the Mistborn books have been "meh" for me. I'll probably wait and see if a three comes up for this challenge to read the next one since I actually don't have a lot of series unread. I tend to devour them if I like them and not wait.

jumble your genres (May is dystopia), A-Z Authors, April showers... ( I need the F from author as I am spelling daffodil), and even the bed on the cover fits a challenge.
I will be reading:

Review:This was one of those books I just didn't want to end. It was funny, sweet, and a little bit cheesy. Once again the frat boys provide a lot of humor in them trying to implement their "gay sensitivity training" with very mix results. Totally unrealistic and stereotypical, ie dumb frat boys, but done in such a way I was snorting with laughter most of the time.
There was alot going on in this book from the fire, bombing, fighting for the new frat policy, a new gay member, sex tapes, kidnapping, homophobic uncles with money, the threat of the frat losing its beer, and more. But it all fit together and flowed well not getting overwhelming and each one got taken care of and tied up by the end. Many of the numerous characters come from previous books so it was nice to see snippets of them in this book.
As for Eric and Collin they were sweet together and at times hot. Exploring the more bear side of things with Eric and his hair was a change for alot of the stuff I've read in a while. There relationship was a little cheesy with all the endearments but it works well with the age gap between them and the more romantic side of Eric. I love the scene together with them and Eric supporting Collin through all the disasters that occur. Despite all the things that are going on in this book there is a fair amount of time spent on their relationship and I liked seeing them together. Even though this does have alot of insta-love elements I liked the fact Collin also held back a little so the relationship didn't seem extremely unrealistic.

The author captived my attention from the first page until the last. There are not enough words to describe how much I loved this book. Not only was it amazing but,it was deliciously creppy at the same time, The emotions it proveked were heart wrenching.I found that it was a creative take on the myth of Persephone.

If not needed for this challenge with little timeframe to change I would have thrown this book against the wall in frustration! The storyline from the first three books in this series seen to circle the same drain. The first half it was repetition, repetition, repetition......the only bright star was the final 15% were the reveal/rescue occurred. If people can vouch for this series ill maybe continue otherwise all done!

Review: Well I finally took the plunge into reading this book and I was pleasantly surprised. I quite enjoyed the story of Carmen, Lena, Bridget and Tibby and their first summer apart.
Carmen bought a pair of pants at a thrift shop and never wore them. She was going to get rid of them the first summer they were all going away except for Tibby. While everyone is at Carmen's house the pants are spotted and the girls all try them on. Each girl is different in height and size but the pants fit each one. They are magical.
Carmen is going to visit her father in South Carolina, Lena is traveling to Greece to visit her grandparents with her sister Effie, Bridget is going to Soccer Camp in Baja California. Tibby will be staying home and working at her new job at Wallman's.
The adventures the girls and the pants go on is just so interesting. Carmen gets to her father's and learns that her father is getting married and has a new family. Lena's Grandmother wants to fix her up with a local boy named Kostos. And Bridget is the one that is just full of energy and sees a boy at the soccer camp very attractive. Tibby is making a documentary and meets a girl name Bailey.
The different adventures each one goes through both with the pants and without is entertaining. I found each of the girls to be very different and could be annoying at times. They were well written as teenagers.
I really enjoyed the book and look forward to reading other ones in this series.

Review:
A dystopian world where hardly any women are born. The Breeders are a group of doctors who keep women of the child bearing age to breed and experiment on in order to increase the population.
Sixteen-year-old Riley Meemick has to pretend to be a bender, a genderless person, to avoid this. After her stepfather is killed and her mother has been sold to the Breeders, Riley with her 8 year old brother goes looking for her. She gets help from Clay who believes she is a bender.
This was a free book but it is good enough that I am considering buying the next book in the series.

Review: This story began with a comedic air. Isobel is a likable and really funny character while still getting down to business. She is one of those that talks before she can think what she is blurting out and it gets her in trouble so to speak quite a few times but yet keeps her out of trouble at the same time.
If you like quick and funny characters with a bit of romance and mystery tossed in you will love this story!
