Oooo, I'm excited to read that one!

Read: Blood Rites by Jim Butcher
Rating: *****

Review: I've heard from other Harry Dresden fans that book 6 is when the series starts to slow down, but I still really enjoyed this book. I think the sarcasm went up a notch which was funny. I liked the story and I enjoyed seeing Murphy be vulnerable a bit.

I am loving this series so far. It's so full of Supernatural Lore, lots of sexy times and awesomely narrated by the very talented Robert Petkoff. What's not to love.
This picks up about halfway through bk 6. Cadeon is working on getting the sword that will kill Omort and get Rydstrom his kingdom back. Meanwhile, Rydstrom has been tricked and taken by Sabine, The Queen of Illusions and half-sister to Omort. Under the pretense of working with Omort to become pregnant with his child, she has been teasing him mercilessly. Only her plans are to take the crown for child and herself. But she is his female and he will have her on his terms. Thus begins a long battle of the sexes.
While I really enjoyed this one, it was not a favorite of mine. I'm so accustomed to the humor in these books and I felt like this one was missing it. Don't get me wrong, there was humor but not enough. She was a liar and a cheat and he was too damn virtuous. I did laugh my butt off when she formed a bond with little Puck in her Sabine way.
“Blah, blah, blah. Demon boy, I can't speak that language. Furthermore, I don't want to pollute my brain by learning it. So it's time for you to learn mine. First lesson-I'm Say-been. I'm oft described as byoo-tee-full and mah-jest'ick...”
"Is it still following me?"

Book:

This book was really good, loads of twists and turns.
It was a HE DID IT.....NO SHE DID IT.....IT MIGHT BE HIM kind of book.
KayLeigh Towne is a singer, a very famous singer from a small town, she has a lot of fans.....One of them likes her a little too much.
Kayleigh has herself a stalker, her friends, family and lawyers know all about him.......
All around her Kayleighs friends and family are getting bumped off in grizzly circumstances and it is up to Katherine Dance to find out who it is.
This book has a lot of suspense and twists, I was suspicious of everyone.
A great keep you on the edge of your seat read.

This book is a must read so much going on and we find out somuch about the main characters and the true meaning of family of the heart. I have to say that i find it most endearing that one of the straight friend of the Bi Deacon and Gay Carrick (Crick) confide to Crick that he wished he were gay because he love Deacon that much but he just doesn't turn that way. Crick and Deacon live in a small town California with very conserative population. When the high School principal tries to tell Deacon that just by being different Crick was provoking three other students to beat him up. boy did that asshole principal get a verbal smackdown.

This was a sentimental choice for me, because it is supposed to be the final book in her popular Night runners series. There are a host of familiar characters and a mystery for Seregil and Alec and their friends to solve. This time it is the classic locked door mystery. Know there were also ghost in this story and Like Alec I could have done without them but they were integral to the story so it was OK. I have yet to read one of these stories that disappointed me and this is no exception and the story ended with (view spoiler) .
Actually started reading the story before I could post it but I had already checked to see what was rolled and I wanted to read it anyways.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I'll see what I will decide to read for this week."
Should choose soon we are in a race to who finishes their storires first to win. that is why I did a non-stop power read of my book.

I'm not sure why I've put this off for so long. I enjoyed the first book and this one just got lost in the mix along the way. I hate it when that happens!
Andrea Gray has relocated to the Austin Shiftertown and has been mate-claimed by Sean Morrissey. After suffering abuse from her last clan, Sean is taking things slow with her and giving her time to accept him as her mate. I really liked the flirtation and teasing banter between the two of them. Nothing felt rushed and it was a smooth transition for them. Don't get me wrong there was plenty of sexual tension and it was harder (Ha! I crack myself up) for Sean but he was patient with her. Sexy Irish Lion, mmmhmm.
Shifters have been getting shot by the humans and as a Guardian it's up to Sean to release their souls to the Summerlands. But with the help of Andrea and her half-fae magic they are able to heal some of them. Humans, Shifters and Fae are teaming up to try to get the sword from Sean. Lots of stuff happening here. Andrea's father comes to help her, Dillon and Gloria finally make a commitment, Sean and Andrea finalize their mate-claim, ex-boyfriend comes to challenge Sean and gets killed by the baddies, they're working on a way to get the collars off... Oh and Kim is preggers.
After blazing through this one I'm too tired to make a pretty review lol. I liked it and hope to get to the rest of them sooner rather than later. Peace.

I really liked this book! A stay at home dad is framed for murder by finding a dead body in his van after coming out of the store with his 3 year old daughter. Of course in cozy mystery books, a regular everyday person solves the cases. It was a nice light read!
(I hope this review is good enough. I am tired and just want to go to bed)

I'm not gonna lie I love me some horror, I love gore and blood and guts and a little bit of weirdness.
Hell I grew up with Stephen King, nuff said!
But this book is just plain weird!
Kit and Fancy are sisters and the daughters of the infamous serial killer Bonesaw killer.
They both have ........urges.
They both like ..........killing, murdering, slicing and dicing.
They also have "The Sight"
Fancy can see things and open 'doors' to take them into their happy place, that way they can send and kill people and not be found out about it!
Kit is a complete psycho, she likes the slicing and dicing part
The world building in this book was just odd, there are monsters roaming around the town, people getting killed and kids playing with severed heads with corpses wandering around and talking, and nobody bats an eye! But it doesn't really explain why.
It sort of seems like the author was just left to her own devices and literally made it up as she went along, a little to bizarre for me to recommend.

No pressure Suzanne. None at all :)

Read: Dead Beat by Jim Butcher
Date: 6/15/2014
Rating: *****
Review: After seven books, I still really like the series. In this book, someone is trying to blackmail him with pictures of Murphy and he has to save the day. I keep expecting this series to go the route of Anita Blake and get repetitive and boring but as long as the author keeps the writing fresh I think I'll be in for the long haul (another 8 books).

Now I know why we won SSS. It wasn't my rolls it was Suzanne. She's the lucky piece of the puzzle.

I've been checking and checking but my notifications don't seem to be working at all so I've only just noticed this.
Thanks for letting me jump on board and play with you guys I really enjoyed it X
