Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments The alternates:
Each number corresponds with the spot on the board.
For colors: The cover has to be at least 50%
For locations: As long as the book takes part at all in the given location .
For Shelves: Any book on the given shelf
For Publication Years: I'll be using how GR has it's publication date listed.
For Authors Names: The first, middle, or last name of the author is ok.
For Titles: Only the first word of the title. A, An, And, and The do not count.
So if the letter is B: The Best Day would be ok. Dear Betty would not be ok.

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Hey ladies! Excited to get playing again.

message 6: by Gea (new)

Gea (gea89) Hello team :)

I think I've only been on the same team with Lindy, I know Jenne from other challenges and I guess I'll meet Kme_17 :)

This is my third time playing and SSS is my favorite team challenge as it helps me read some series I wouldn't otherwise.

message 7: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Kme was on my team last round. So far each round I've had a repeat player from my previous team on the new team.

Any volunteers for captain?

I'll try to think of some names so far I've come up with:

5 & Dimers
^5's
Furious Five
Fifth But Not Last

Those kinda suck though....

message 8: by Lindy (new)

Lindy (lindylee) | 375 comments I have been on teams with everyone except Kme lately.

Ideas
Maroon 5
5 Second Rule
Crazy 5's
Winning 5's
Fighting 5's
5 Smart Alec's
Famous 5
Slaughterhouse 5

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments I liked that one too! I tried to pm Kme but the catpchaphrase stopped me from sending it for some reason.

message 13: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments It let me send it that time, not sure what went wrong this afternoon.

message 14: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Gea do you want to roll since it'll be morning for you when it's midnight here?

message 15: by Gea (new)

Gea (gea89) Sorry, I've been busy these two days, working two jobs lol I finally got online now.

I like the name 5 Second Rule and I don't mind rolling when I wake up. If I remember correctly, you are lucky with the dice Jenne, so you can roll as well if you're not in bed yet :P

No words from Kme yet?

message 16: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments I'm not too bad :)
I'm usually not up that late on Thursdays but I am on the weekend roll. When I get up Thursday am if you haven't rolled I will. I sent her a pm last night. She's real good about posting and checking in, this has been a shotgun start lol.

message 17: by Gea (new)

Gea (gea89) That's great, beacuse I love to sleep in on weekends :D It's best that whoever shows here the first makes the roll.

We still have some time for her to show up, with a busy week I know I probably wouldn't have showed up here before today if you haven't messaged me lol It's good today was my last time on second job so I'll have more time to read, I really fell behind this week with this crazy schedule :(

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Ok :)
Did you see Gea's post if not rolled a 4, so we're on spot 4, read a fourth, or the alternate is published in 2005.

Worth the Battle (Heaven Hill, #4) by Laramie Briscoe
Book: Worth the Battle by Laramie Briscoe
Read: 18-Apr-2014
Rating: ★★★★★
Review:
It's been months since I last read this series and it was hard in beginning to get back in the story.
The book itself was a very good and quick read just like I came to expect from the author. It was interesting how Layne and Jessica met when he asked her to his military ball via YouTube video and she responded.
Layne's detailed talks with the doctor were unexpected, usually there's just some mentioning of such talks in books not the real talk. As usual there was a clue to the next book in ending chapters and it seems it will be an interesting one.

This is the 4th time I think that I've read this book. I wish I could give it a million stars! This is the first time I've gone the audio route and I am so so happy I did. I was worried that listening to Barrons would ruin it because of the impossible image I have of him in my head. Let me tell you the narrator totally brought him to life. He growled and sounded just as good as I pictured in my head. Now I think I'm going to have to go back and listen to all of these now!

Dearest Dorothy, Who Would Have Ever Thought? (Dearest Dorothy, #4) by Charlene Ann Baumbich

read : Dearest Dorothy, Who Would Have Ever Thought? byCharlene Ann Baumbich

Finished: 4/19/14

A sweet book that was very easy to just get totally lost in. The writer is very good at making this small town very real to me. She also handles the tricky thing of having many characters and the POV shifting frequently. It never comes out as hard to follow. The problem is some of the characters are very likeable and others you want to wring their necks even if it seems like you should root for them. All in all a very enjoyable book.

Fever (Breathless, #2) by Maya Banks
Book: Fever by Maya Banks
Read: 21-Apr-2014
Rating: ★★★★
Review:
Maya Banks is one of my most read authors and I usually really like her books. The first book from this series was quite a disappointment and that's why I waited with this book for a year.
The book came out as a very nice surprise even when it resembled too much of a fairy tale. The only real problem for me was Jace's distrust in Bethany and some of his actions but it was a solid 4 star read.

Finished 4/22/14
Rating: ★★★★
Review:
This was pretty entertaining. It was a tad cheesy at times but the zombie action was intense at times and made up for it. I absolutely love the cover and it's what made me want to read the book. I will be reading the next one soon because I'm a sucker for a zombie book!
Btw this is the cover that sold me :) Undead by Kirsty McKay
