Series: Book 2
Review:
This was a second book in the Duke Brother's series and the second brother Cameron Duke. He has set rules in his life regarding women and children which is that they are not for him. An affair with Julia Parrish was not to be repeated and he cuts off all contact only to find out that Julia had his baby. Cameron does an about face and wants to get married and be a family without the love. Julia on the other hand, falls in love with Cameron and she won't settle for less in their marriage. I love both Cameron and Julia and the baby. Cameron's past is very sad and the way he denies that he loves Julia is adorable.

Which means we can read Book 29 in a series, Book 2 in a series or Book 9 in a series. The alternative is to read a book from the May Read shelf.

Should I still post the review, or is there no point in doing so?

Jack Reacher is such an intriguing character. Halfway between hero and anti-hero. He is hard to describe but he is certainly memorable. Riveting story line drew me in from the beginning and 500 pages later I still am unsure as to whether or not I like Jack. I know I am fascinated and will certainly be reading more.

Well, I'm hooked! I love this series. It's clever, suspenseful, intriguing, with great characters . The story picks up where the 1st book left off, Cinder is still in prison and the new characters that enters Cinder's life are Scarlet and a street fighter named Wolf. Whose helping Scarlet find her missing grandmother (sounds a little familiar). I'm looking forward to reading the 3rd book in the series and looking forward to the 4th. :D

Boucher, Will you have your review up soon so I can roll?

I really don't know how to feel about this book, or this series. It is a new concept, but at least with the first book I gave it higher rating because we are suppose to be learning background, etc etc. But in this book too, there was such a slow start to things, the first half is almost boring and then it finally picks up and starts to get interesting and only to find out there is not really a true HEA ending for either heroes and what is up with having two guys for 1 girl...in both books. I get it but still. The plot was definitely better than the first book, but I think I expected a lot more out of the series and it just fell short of my expectations.

Wonderful story with characters that you wish were your friends. Pete is unique. From the moment you realize "he" is a "she" to the end where she confronts her family, she is someone you will not forget. Dominic is a bit of an a** but manages to change his way of thinking and redeem his character. This is one of my favorite Kathi S. Barton books and why she has become a "must buy" for me.

Wow! Very informative information about electronic pollution and how it affects us in our daily lives.
It doesn't scare you, like some articles I've read on the subject. What it does do, is empowers you with the facts and give you ways to conteract the effects that enter our lives.. I really liked this book a lot.

Bouchra, will you have your review done by morning?

Loved this tale. In all honesty, there are a few editing problems. The overall story line is strong, the characters full of color and the sex scenes steamy hot. Airic, the female lead, goes through Hell and comes out the other side a different person. It takes meeting Bradley for her to realize just how strong she has become. Bradley is used to a life of duty, taking care of others because it is his job. That all changes when he meets Airic, for the first time he has something that HE wants. What they have to face is horrific, how they bond together to survive is magical. A wonderful love story.

At first, I didn't think I was going to like this book. But has the storyline unfolded. I began to become intrigued with the characters, especially with the hopes and dreams of Pasquale the innkeeper and the inter-weaving of real-life events and figures. It all came together for me in this delightful and sad novel. Its definitely a book to be read again. I look forward to visiting this small Italian village again and vacationing at Pasquale's Inn. :)

Finally the conclusion to James and Bianca's story. It was a great one and I am kind of sad to see it end. I loved reading about James and as much as he he is an alpha male, he is just so adorable in love. Not only am I sad to see the story end, but I will miss Bianca's best friend, Stephen. Everyone should have a friend like him. :) I loved this book more than the other because in this one was not solely from Bianca's point of view, but we got to see a little glimpse from Stephen and James POV as well and it was great to read. As it turns out, I don't have to get depressed about ending of the series, because there is another book slated to come out this year and its going to be from the my two favorite guys's point of view. I can't wait to read that one.

Sorry, I didn't manage to finish the book, and I don't think I will manage to in the short time that's left. I've been having some unexpected family issues. I'm sorry for not posting earlier, but I thought I might be able to finish the book. Unfortunately, that's unlikely, so please use the free pass.

Series: A Cooking Class Mystery #3
Rating: 2.5 ★★
Review:
I really didn't want to finish this book. I just didn't care it. I was annoyed with the storyline quite a few times. For example, the first line of the book.
I, Annie Capshaw, Am the World's Worst Cook. It just didn't sit right with me. It is a cooking class mystery . Then her boyfriend, Jim, persuades Annie to help him teach his cooking class (Come on! - keep this woman out of the kitchen) etc... There was some potential with some of the turns & twists in the storyline but at the end, it just fell flat for me. :(
The recipes in the back of the book look interesting. I do plan on trying some of them. :)
This is the first book of the series that I have read. I don't know if I'll give the others a try.
