I've only read the first one so far, but I liked it well enough.

The writing is pretty basic, but I have found that to be a problem with a lot of popular YA series. Not all, but a lot.

I plan on reading the rest of the series at some point, but is a little further down the list at the moment.

Jenn Sternshein (bookdorkjenn) | 411 comments i'm actually about to start The Crown (The Selection, #5) by Kiera Cass . I love this series.. although I was more intrigued by America's story then Eadlyn's story.

Chloe (Forever Fictional) | 5 comments I really enjoyed this series when first reading it but I have yet to read The Heir and The Crown. Are they worth reading? I've heard a lot of mixed things...

CR Daylex (carryingabyss) | 9 comments I thought this series started really strong. I loved the first book. I didn't expect to love it, but I really did.

The second / third books were OK.

I read the first chapter of the fourth and DNFed :/

Kristal Fleming (kristal_mckerrington) | 16 comments Here are my thoughts on the series so far. I made a mistake with the books and ended up reading 1-3 then 5 instead of 4:

Angela Maria Hart (angelamariahart) | 18 comments I did a BookTube review on the first three in the series! "The Hunger Games" meets "The Bachelor" in this dystopian series.

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) I've read the first one in this series, and really liked it. I definitely plan to read the rest of the books. I think the character of America is an intriguing one. She surprised me a couple of times during my reading! :)

April Ballantyne I read this whole series in a week. I could not put them down.

message 63: by Siya (new)

Siya (siyak_) I LOVE THE SELECTION SERIES!!! But only the first three books. I love America's story way more than Maxon's daughter's stroy about her selection. Eadlyn is so annoying that I couldn't even get past the ninth chapter.

message 64: by Olivia (new)

Olivia I actually didn't´t like this series at all. I just thought it was very predictable and I really didn't like Maxon ether.

message 65: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 12 comments I read this series so quick! I loved how it was a combo of " the bachelore" and dystopian!
Not going to lie ... I enjoyed America's story more than Eadlyn's ;)

Lara (readsoflara) HI THE SELECTION IS MY FAV

message 67: by Abbi (new)

Abbi Reed | 1 comments Hi! I’ve been wondering if i should read this series or not. Is it more for younger readers? I’m 21 and I still enjoy books for people around 18 but to a certain extent.

Hey! I'm 28 years old and I read the first three books in less than 4 days! I thoroughly enjoyed them. I have not started the fourth or fifth book yet, but the first three were AMAZING and I, personally, could not put them down. They have had some criticism as being far too cliche', but I thought they were a great read.

Krista | 1550 comments I think I might re-read these soon. There just so fun and such an easy read.
