me too. Although i love Urdu and am actually very good at it but when i see it written in roman it is just not the way i would write it and i have to attune myself :D

i know. But the problem is I love reading Urdu as Urdu not as roman. :) but i know using the keyboards we do we have no choice. I even write my scripts in roman urdu then i give it to the director to get it to mainstream urdu.

I read Qurat-ul-Ain when i was a teenager. In A-levels. One thing you will notice is that she writes urdu-english. Like how we all type in roman urdu, she wrote English words in Urdu script and you will see too much of it. I used to find it very irritating although it was only natural because she was more like us: she spoke a mixture of English-Urdu. And that was how she wrote.

hahaha......mera bhe kuch aisa he haal hai main kitab parhna shuru karti hun to pechli kahaani yaad nae rehti.Itni ziada symbolism aur references hai ke confusion ho jati hai.

Thank you Ayesha yeh site mery pass nehin thi :) main nay jo abhi tk ebooks perhi hen urdu ki us main chand aik hon gi jo blur thin werna baki quality to achi thi ya main lucky rehi hon phir is muamly main k mujhy jo book chahiyeh thi us ka acha print milta reha. Agar scan bhi acha hua ho to mujhy koi dikkat nehin hoti perhni main :).

If you don't mind my asking where do you live? Usually most countries have their local websites that link to other sites. Have you tried epubbud? Waisay, as Ayesha said, urdu ebooks are usually rare to find because their print is never good enough.

@Nagwa, I live in Ukraine yahan almost khana jangi ki situation thi pichly kuch ersy say jis wejha say yaHan ki economy gehry crisis ka shikaar hey. Thats why its hard to shop online internationally. For now that is because after becoming part of schengen, ukraine wont be dependent on Russia :).

oh i see. you live in difficult situation. meri tu koi ek site fix nai hai mein google pe kitab ka naam likh k search krti hon. kafi sari websites recommend karta hai google aur pir trial and error k through download kar leti hon.

I know that is one site where you can register for free and then have access to free books too...i know because i put my book there so that those who cannot access kindle can access my books... check it out and do you know of this store? it claims to be the largest in Ukraine:http://www.yevshan.com/
but i doubt if they have Urdu books...

Yes you are absolutely right. Qurrat ul Ain Haider does write english words in urdu which makes it sometimes harder to read them.

Arey wah sab se pehle Ayesha ne khatam ki hai kitab. meri tu abhi baaqi rehti hai par inshaAllah dead line se pehle khatam kar loungi.
Yaad ka tu masla hai na bhae. muhskil kitab thi ek baar parhne se samaj mein nai aani. mje khud darmiyan ka kafi hissa ab yaad nai hai. shuru ka goutam neelumbar yaad hai aur abhi akhir ki kahani zehen mein kch kch hai! baaqi sb dhundla dhundla sa hai :(

Aur khair bus khatam he ki hay kafi mushkil kiab sabit hui yeh tou itni bhe mushkil nahi lagti thi kitab per waqai kitab buhat intresting hay yeh aur buhat mazza bhe aaya hay parhne main kuch aisi tareekhain iss main aayi hain jin ko parh ker kafi acchi laga.... Maza aaya buhat aur mera irada hay k iss kitab ko phir se main parhonga per abhi nahi kuch waqton k baad :-)...
