I read a non-fiction book about a paramedic. I feel that first responders, especially medics, are heroes because they save lives out in the crazy world without the benefit of a hospital's equipment. Each situation is unique and possibly dangerous yet they manage to comfort people whom are experiencing the worst moments in their lives.
