For sure. I grew up in Osk R..."
Christine, I have not. The town she grew up in isn't far from me though. Maybe 30 miles. She's active in the community with the libraries. Last year she was at the Decatur Book Festival, but I wasn't able to go. Looks like I won't be able to make it this year either.
Are you still in TN?
GR won't send me email notifications either cuz they said my email address is marked as bounced and asked me to verify my email every day and when I do I don't get the verification email. I've contacted them to tell them about it and they said they are fixing it and I told them that they have been doing this to me daily. and my email address is the only one I use here.
I deactivated my email notifications, it was getting too much. Was beginning to feel like spam. The GR notifications are enough for me.
I had to as well. I was tired of them saying I wasn't getting their notifications because my email wasn't verified.
They said they were going to fix it but so far they haven't. Every time I log in, they said they weren't able to email me and that I had to verify my email. I hope they can resolve the glitches they've been having soon.
Cleaning my house after a weekend of not doing too much. I usually spend Monday's putting it back together.

@ DoodlePanda & Ruth - I wish i could tell you the gory details. But just know that I ran away with someone's candy. (Eye Candy that is.)
Dipanjan wrote: "@ DoodlePanda & Ruth - I wish i could tell you the gory details. But just know that I ran away with someone's candy. (Eye Candy that is.)"Lol! Why am I not surprised? :p
Though I think it's mean not to tell us more, I need the excitement...
Dips, it's not mischief if you don't live to tell about it. Otherwise you're only asking for a death wish.
@ Kristy - Oh no, there are far worse things than death. Becoming a "man slave" for example. Or being FORCED to wear a pink shirt. It's emotional violence that the "young and innocent" most fear.
Dips, I'm sure being a "man slave" is just horrible.Ruth, it's getting hot here in Georgia too, but not that bad just yet. I'm not looking forward to the summer.
Whoa, I have to step in here--Dips, don't you know only real men wear pink???!!! This could crush your fans....MN Chris
@Kristy: I moved to NC for a year, then to MN. I've been in MN longer than Dips has been alive. On the other hand, Amber is a current Tennessean...TN Amber.MN Chris
When I was a little girl, I had a dream to visit all the states in the US. Of course that was when the world was flat and I'd never seen outside of my hometown. Now I want to travel and see other countries. I've only been to Mexico so far. Maybe one day I'll make it MN.

Real men wear a "cool" shade of Pink under a dark black suit with a Red scarf. But the pink I was forced to wear is Shocking Pink. Now THAT'S a whole different story.

ROFL. LMAO. LMFAO ...... you have been in MN longer than I have been alive .... that's cracking me up right now. Awesome dialogue. Goes to my hall of fame. You ROCK Minnesota Chris. You are now my heroine for sure.
In other news, I am being FORCED to drink milk early in the morning. The onslaught continues. Every woman I go out with becomes my mother in the end. Tchaaa!!!!!
Dipanjan wrote: "In other news, I am being FORCED to drink milk early in the morning. The onslaught continues. Every woman I go out with becomes my mother in the end. Tchaaa!!!!!"Lol!! Don't worry, it's good for you! Unless you're lactose intolerant I guess... I'm drinking milk right now :D

Thanks Daniel. She passed away early this morning. she was very sick and we only had her for 4 years. She was pretty young.
It is. She was what got me to get over my fear of dogs. She was the only dog I wasn't afraid of. and she did feel loved. I hope in heaven that she gets all the petting she wanted.
both are up there in my book.I have a cat that loves broccoli. Guess who the kids feed what under the dinner table.
I was reading the Huffington Post this morning and saw an article about a New York City book club that went topless to help make reading sexy. Well, it worked!! But after a few glances and the lovely ladies, my eyes went to the book covers out of curiosity to see what they were reading. Lo and behold, I was thrilled that they were reading several Hard Case Crime Books, some of my favorite.
Maybe it's my, ahem, maturity that got me more excited about the books....haha.
The article, in case you are interested but is NSFW, so be careful: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/05...
oh okay. and that's cool. We have to bury Ziva today and I'll be singing at her funeral cuz Mom told me that was her dying wish cuz she loved music. I just hope I don't cry when I do it. I'll be singing "I always thought I see you again." by Tiffany from the jetsons movie. I'll be singing it acapella.
