Kirsten (kmcripn) How great! I'm "chuffed" to learn a new British word - "boxsetting"

"Boxsetting" should be in the dictionary, I somehow always boxset whenever I'm off college. Last year I had no social life until I'd finished watching the three seasons of Game Of Thrones! This time I think it'll be Sherlock

Well started my break with rubbish tip twice !

This afternoon tennis 3 hours and snooker for 2 hours.

Now that's the life, and won both!

Tennis won 6-3 6-7 7-6

Snooker same opponent won 2-1

So enjoying my holiday.

Last night also has our staff Christmas meal out, it was lovely.

At the Sommerville Hotel, where my wife and I had our wedding reception 34 and half years ago.

It has it's own Facebook page and website if you would like to have a look, fabulous views.

Will read as well

Robin - I googled boxsetting and only got box sets of dvds. Not any definition.
I'm currently boxsetting True Detective.

Criminal Minds is good. Loved Spooks, never missed an episode. Watched all of Dexter too. Haven't done Breaking Bad yet.

Christine, my satellite provider uploads whole seasons of shows that can be watched on demand, so as and when. I have Sky tv. Also lots of movies on demand too if you subscribe to the movie package as well.

Transporter: The Series Season 2 has 11 episodes

This was released in USA in Oct 2012, under genre: Action, Crime, Adventure.

We have watched some episodes, when we are around, but I want to stream the full series to watch in order.

I've loved watching Criminal Minds. As it is I miss a lot of shows I used to watch, because I tend to put on a cable show l like HGTV etc. as background noise with the volume really low almost muted and read a book.

message 2689: by Christine (new)

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments Lynn, I see you are reading Run. That is on my short list. Let us know how you like it when you finish.

This got made into movies of the same name, right? Or maybe the movies came first and then the series,

Seen the films The Transporter, three, not seen the series at all.

Yes Homeland, especially series one, The Blacklist all series, yes Criminal Minds, also Blue Bloods.

Maybe old series as mentioned 24, and X Files.

The Last Ship was great.

Hated True Detective, like watching paint dry!

Brenda | 2434 comments I'm surprised no one has mentioned Game of Thrones. Our son got us watching that, and it didn't take long at all to hook us. I think it may be the best TV show I've ever seen. Great for binge watching!

Brenda we should hook up and binge watch together!!

I LOVE GOT!!! It's never enough for me, was hooked from episode one. I know, I know, I'm not a reader of fantasy, and I wouldn't read the books necessarily but I love the show. Great storytelling, characters, acting, sumptuous to look at and Peter Dinklage is just a revelation in this.

message 2699: by Brenda (new)

Brenda | 2434 comments Janet, I'd binge watch GOT with you!! This is a show that after watching one episode, I'd look at my husband and he'd look at me, and we'd go right into the next episode! It's funny, but there would come a time when we'd have to stop, sit back, say Holy sh**! And digest what we'd seen.

I also have not and most likely will not read the books. They overwhelm me.
