Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments It is so frustrating. My iPad will sometimes have the 3 bars where there is the "switch to desktop" option and sometimes it is no where to be found. I finally got out of the mobile version by shutting down my ipad like 3 times and then ignoring it for several minutes. When I got back on, the desktop version had reappeared. Have no idea how that happened. Sue, the footer option on the ipad continued to have "switch to mobile version" even though I was stuck in mobile version. There was also no link in the drop-down menu next to my profile picture. Thought I would have to buy a new ipad if this kept up!!!! That's how horrible the mobile version is. Thank you Sue and Lynn for your comments.

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments I don't know why anyone would want to use the mobile site. It's simply terrible from what I've seen. I've been tempted to delete the app from my ipad, but am fearful all my shelves would go up in smoke, even on my desktop.

Thanks, Sue. I will peruse that thread for info.

Sue (coccotoro) | 2087 comments Yes Christine. You could even copy and paste the problem you faced, for their comment. I am glad I don't have a cell phone. My husband has a iPhone. I have a landline, a desktop and a Kindle...any more and I will have to hire someone to stay on top of them.

I have what you have, plus an Ipad. No smart phone and glad of it!

Lynn Renee | 1708 comments Unfortunately my computer bit the dust so my only internet access is with my phone. My Kindle and my phone are all I have at the moment, have been thinking about a tablet but need to save money. The only time I use the Goodreads mobile site is to add a book that I am reading or check one as finished. Thanks for the help.

Chris, I accidently tapped that Switch to Mobile Version and almost had a heart attack! I didn't spend a lot of time trying to find a way to go back. I took a drastic step. Went into Settings, and under Safari tapped Clear History and Wesite Data.

Hi Skye, I am doing okay. Brought Dad over for Thanksgiving. He ate pretty well and watched a little football. Hard to see him so fragile. But other than his terrible memory. he thinks OK, so that's good. Thanks for asking. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, Skye. Did you get today off?

Feeling a tad anxious right now. My eldest girl is going into hospital tomorrow for rhinoplasty. I'm sure it's all routine to the medics but as her mother I can't help feeling a bit apprehensive about it all. Fingers crossed for a good outcome.

Prayers for your girl to have a safe and successful surgery, Janet. You wouldn't be her mother if you didn't worry about her. XOXO

I will be thinking of you and your daughter tomorrow Janet. Perfectly natural to feel worried as a mum. Sending a big hug! :)

Brenda | 2434 comments Janet, best wishes for your daughter! Speaking from experience, DO NOT let her bend over for a few days afterwards. My husband said the thud in the bathroom was quite loud. All I remember is grabbing the countertop and then looking up at the ceiling.

My daughter is home!! She looks like a prize fighter at the minute, is still recovering from the effects of the anesthetic and getting to grips with it all, but on the whole she is ok. Had to drop her off at the hospital early yesterday morning but we weren't allowed to stay with her. Only got to see during visiting hours between 6:30 pm and 8:00. So that was quite hard. Yesterday she was totally out of it, as she had not long come back from surgery. She did say that in recovery she kept stopping breathing!!! Glad I didn't know that one!!! But on the whole it all went well. Hopefully when all the dressings come off and the swelling and bruising eases she will have a straight nose that she can breathe through.

Thank you guys for your support, it's been a couple of difficult days and your support and comments helped me through. Thanks xx :))
