I'm fine. I just needed a bit of a breather from it all, which most of us do from time to time. I just stayed away from social media entirely and it did me good. It's nothing personal to anyone I just needed a little timeout. :-)
well done davidgo titas
glad you feel better janet
quiet weekend here - just a quick workout on Saturday morning nothing too strenuous (it was only a wod called the hammer) then a quick walk round a market to pick up a couple of things go get some more hayfever pills then home to get ready for a wee night out. today is my usual lazy sunday although I was supposed to have a training session but the trainer forgot so I just went to supermarket then made my way home to sit with feet up :)
Thanks, Sharon. Sounds like your day weekend has been a touch more strenuous than mine… ok, a lot more.

Hi, I’ve just put up and tweaked a new discussion thread on Ian Fleming and John Le Carre, so if you like their books at all, do drop by for a comment! https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
So happy with the great win for "Matisse"
on Britain's Got Talent in the final.
Top three were favourites.

Just need the break because reality can bite (as the movie states) and keeping up with cyber world can just pile on.
I haven't been here long, but I missed you, too, Janet. It was weird not hearing from you, I didn't know what happened. Welcome back. We've been discussing the French Open with Sean on his thread. He's been keeping us all on target. It's a fun thread if you're into tennis.

I thought Matisse was cute and very clever but we wanted UDI to win, they were amazing and their act was something different which is what the judges insist they are looking for every year.
That's why I liked the top three, all different.
No single singers, I liked UDI, but thought they semi-final was very much the same.

Big congrats to David and Kath and any other of our friends that made the shortlists. This weekend wasn't the best because of migraine and I had to cancel a theatre trip which we had been looking forward to. After almost a week of migraines I'm hoping it's better this week so I can get back to normal. :)

Yeah i admit what they did in the semi final was not as good as their audition or what they did last night but i would quite happily go and see them on tour if they did one and they deserved to at least get in the top three, their act was a lot better than the dancing dads.We thought Jamie Raven was very good and were really shocked when Cor Glanaethwy came third althought i prefered Revolation Avenue.

Thanks Brenda, it's not too bad today, fingers crossed. The nausea, headache and dizziness started this morning but I took a Sumatriptan straightaway and fortunately it took care of it. :)
Hi Heather. Migraines are just a horrible albatross! I was wondering if you had any sumatriptan, I am glad you do and that it works for you! XO
I am so with Garfield in that I hate Mondays :( especially cold wet windy ones that are never ending. the only saving grace is that I get a reprieve from hayfever while its raining ach well onwards and upwards library tonight :D 3 books waiting for me :D :D
Christine wrote: "Hi Heather. Migraines are just a horrible albatross! I was wondering if you had any sumatriptan, I am glad you do and that it works for you! XO"Thanks Chris. It doesn't always work. I get them in varying degrees and some are worse than others. Fortunately, today hasn't been too bad and I've managed to get plenty of work done. :)
Hi, everyone! I did not know if I would have any type of internet while I was on vacation. We are in The Outer Banks, Duck, in North Carolina. I just wanted to let you know that I have been thinking about you all!Heather, as far as migraines go, I have them and they are terrible, I use Maxalt the melt aways. They are pretty good. It still leaves me with a headache, just a different kind, and I feel like I have the flu, but my migraine goes away. So I settle.

I've not heard of Maxalt. I wonder if you can get hold of them in the UK. I'll have to check that out. :)

Your blog is really cool and I loved your review of Mine. Like Christine said, you would never know that English is not your first language. Very good my friend.
Sonya wrote: "I'm going to buy myself a new guitar"You could have mine. After twenty years I still can't play the thing.
id love to learn to play guitar but guess am sticking to guitar hero on the wii lol that's probably as good as I will ever get the fitness regime appears to be paying off - was going out on sat night and managed to fit into jeans I hadn't worn for a long time woohoo :) made arrangements for my next personal trainer session so hopefully the additional training will help with that too. Good workout tonight was actually shaking when I finished it it was so tough but I got through it and cant wait for the next one

woohoo bloody Scotland 2015 programme announced today early bird tickets already purchased cant wait to get in and select with my friends what / who we fancy going to heckle I mean see this year (can tell you peter may will NOT be on the list)
I am disappointed, Sharon. I know you were looking forward to seeing him again, lol! I take it this event draws some big names?
Christine wrote: "I am disappointed, Sharon. I know you were looking forward to seeing him again, lol! I take it this event draws some big names?"It does - some of the names this year include Linwood Barclay, William McIlvanney, Martina Cole, Chris Brookmyre and Val McDermid. And that's only a few of the authors that will be there. Every time I look at the programme I think ooooohhhh I want to go to that one too :) just have to get it to coincide with the ones my friends want to attend too
You all are talking about these programs so happily and I am here in India in this bloody awful heat and reading your comments feeling -
I wish we could send you some of our nice weather, Titas. Is this typical early June weather for where you live?
Titas you are welcome to some of NZ's cold weather - perhaps we could arrange a cultural weather swap? I would far rather have the heat. 8:D
Between my posts about heat last week and now it has rained for about 10 minutes just once. Rain is a heavy season here and it fully starts in late May with occasional thunderstorm in March, April. Heat is a regular problem here but rain is what cools it down.
Exceptionally this year there is still no sign of rain. Also compared to last year there has been almost no thunderstorm this year.
Thus it's humid as lake and hot as hell.
Christine wrote: "I wish we could send you some of our nice weather, Titas."Get an envelop, wave it in the air, seal it fast and mail me!

I am in a reading funk. The summer season gets me restless and all I want to do is move, can't sit still. I wanna be outside, walk, shop, go to the park, clean. LOL Does anyone else get that way?

I wish I could send you some of our Manchester rain Titus. We're famous for it - ask anyone in the UK. :)

Up until yesterday though the weather has been like winter and it was too rainy and windy to go out walking but yesterday it changed and now we're getting some summer. It's so unpredictable at the moment. :)
