I don't have cable or satellite, yet. I only get broadcast tennis. The French Open will be on t.v. in a couple of weeks. So, thanks for the updates.
I'm still here, I promise! Final stretch of this year of university so lots of essays and exams, but I'm still pottering about and reading somewhat :) I finish on May the 28th and will be around more then. And will thankfully be reading a lot more then, too ^_^ I hope you are all well.
Good luck with your exams Kerry. My kids are both busy with exams too. I bet you'll be glad when it's all over and you can relax. :)
Good luck Kerry, my son has exams at the moment in his first year at university. Hope you do well in yours.
got home to a letter from work today apparently my probationary period is over and I can continue in my role :) so how did I celebrate by doing a workout and increasing my weight on the bar for the AMRAP of course

Oh Sharon - you put me to shame! I do have a cross trainer which i use regularly over winter, but only because i can listen to audiobooks as I work out. Summer I get out and do stuff in the yard....but doing what you do? Not a chance! I admire your resolve. If you have any to spare please send some...8:D
We actually saw a segment about Crossfit on CBS 60 minutes this past Sunday evening. Whew! That's some workout! I have a cartoon about Crossfit on my Facebook page too, f I can just figure out how to put it on here...
LOL Sandy I have always used gymwork to destress however my friend reckons i have an addiction lol - guess there are worse things to be addicted to!! i do try and get out on my bike but Scotland in the summer that is easier said than done but as long as i get out a few times i will be happy.

This is probably a silly question but can someone please tell me how I can put an image of a book cover in with my comments? I've tried copying and pasting but that doesn't work. Presumably there is another way because I see loads of comments with book images on the 'Just Read' posts etc.

Just click the button for cover.

Uh-oh, Janet. Good excuse to lay on your favorite couch, drink tea, and do a little reading. In fact, let's do an order! Dr. says!Chris, in MD mode.
Get well fast!
Christine and Jean, thanks.
Christine send a special remedy across the pond. :-(
Feeling sorry for myself like a pathetic one!

Janet wrote: "Feeling rubbish today. I have sandpaper for a throat. :-("Keep having some hot tea, warm water and gurgle with lukewarm salt-water again and again. Or mix some clove-tree(labanga) powder with warm honey, then dip a spoon and lick all day. All are my mother's tips for me when I get a sandy throat. So I am passing these to you! Hope they help!
aw janet hope you feel better soon - nice hot toddy and an early night with some echinechea (yes I don't know how to spell it lol) and honey tea :)another cracking weightlifting class tonight - technique is improving every week so am pleased with progress. off to see a new comedy being filmed courtesy of the bbc tomorrow night so that should be different but means no crossfit :(

When you don't feel well you are entitled to grab your pity blanket (literally), wrap up, read if you can or watch junk TV, doze as much as you can and tell the family they are on their own for awhile. They will survive. That's how I do it in my house.
Get better soon Janet. Enjoy the time with some peace, and a good book. Hot lemon and honey, and then bed.
get better soon Janet.....Titas's remedies are wonderful and work.Isn't it a pity that you always want a sick day so you can do stuff you enjoy - but when you actually get one you are too sick to enjoy it. *:(

Yeah, especially when you feel so crappy that you would rather be well and at work.
Janet wrote: "Thanks, guys. I'm in bed now. Had some meds and trying to stay warm. Feeling shivery."You have my sympathy, Janet. I'm just getting over cold symptoms that have hung on for four weeks.
Hope you feel better soon Janet x
Well I know many of my southern country men/women of Oz, and others around the world have been talking of the colder weather, well it has finally hit FNQ (Far North Queensland), and the time has come for me to delve deep into the linen cupboard, and bring out the heavy duty bedding! I'll be snuggling under the doona tonight while I read my latest book!Ps, Janet hope you feel better soon!
Thanks all for your kind wishes. Mush appreciated when wallowing! I feel worse but I'm resting and going to sip some tea soon (not keen on tea) when my daughter makes it for me!
Feeling a bit hot, yeah Christine. Right tonsil feels a bit swollen, difficulty swallowing. Loss of appetite, the usual thing.
Christine wrote: "Doona, Jenni?"Christine I think you call it a duvet, we call them a doona over here, I have no idea why.
