I'm reading
by Veronica Roth. It's really flying by! I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would.
finished working gods mischief a few days ago and I still feel unable to get into a new book :s gimme the next on in the series!
Helen wrote: I read that a while ago Tad, now I've watched the film I want to read on. I was sort of indifferent to seeing the film, but now that I'm reading the book, it's definitely going on my to watch list:)
I finished Elizabeth Bear's Steles of the Sky, which was shatteringly good, and am starting The Hum and the Shiver by Alex Bledsoe.
Was removed from most of my technology today, except for my trusty Kindle, so I finished The Hum and the Shiver and got half way through Wisp of a Thing: A Novel of the Tufa, both by Alex Bledsoe.
And I finished Wisp of a Thing: A Novel of the Tufa(what can I say? I was on a roll) and am going to wrap up my Tennessee faerie visit with Shall We Gather, a Tufa short story also by Alex Bledsoe.
I read all the Mortal Instruments books...I read all the Lunar Chronicles books...I am now workin on Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare.
Pray for me: I'm picking up Dragons of Autumn Twilight for the first time since high school? college? something like that ...
Joseph wrote: "Pray for me: I'm picking up Dragons of Autumn Twilight for the first time since high school? college? something like that ..."I read the first cicle (Autumn, Winter and Spring) and I liked it. But there are so many cicles in the Dragonlance's universe to make you dizzy.

I'm reading Lyonesse by Jack Vance - shame on me for never having read it before. Five chapters in, I'm completely hooked by the richness of Vance's imagined world, and I'm thinking it will probably become a favourite book. My only complaint is that the map of the Elder Isles in the front is hardly more than a doodle. However, there seem to be several other versions of the map on the net, so I shall track down one I like and print it out. :)

But there are so many cicles in the Dragonlance's universe to make you dizzy."I don't plan to go very deep down the rabbit hole -- Chronicles and Legends (which are the only ones that I read back in the day) and maybe some of the other Weis/Hickman installments, depending on how things go.

I agree. Indeed until today the 'The Chronicles' is the only one that I read.

Dawn wrote: And then you will want to read the 2nd and 3rd books! LOL Have you seen the movie: Divergent? I have not but looking forward to it...I finished Divergent which was great, and then went out and saw the movie, which was not very good. The lead actors were good, but the movie made some choices that diluted the emotional impact of the choices the characters made. If you really want to see it, I'd skip the theater and wait for the video release.
Yeah, I know what you mean about the Divergent movie. Kind of disappointing, but it was ok. I still sort of liked it, but I do hate it when movie adaptations remove important parts.
Finished Dragons of Autumn Twilight and am continuing my trip down Memory Lane with Dragons of Winter Night (Dragonlance: Chronicles #2).(And for the record: The only true and correct covers are those by Larry Elmore:
)
Joe Abercrombie's First Law trilogy. I am not ready to kick myself for not reading the series earlier yet, but I came very close to that point.
While the series is grim, it is not THAT depressing.
I cannot call the series extremely exciting so far, but the writing quality is really good.
