:-) Imagine that! I have to raise my hand in guilt on this, though. Sometimes, book info comes out in magazines or author's websites long before it hits store lists, so in lieu of forgetting to add it later, I'll create it, too. Usually, I can fix these by merging and deleting, but when so many jump on that wagon and attach themselves to a book, need a SL (Super Librarian) to fix. Yikes. :-)
Tends to happen with die-hard fans who anxiously await the next book....**goes away in guilt**:-)
Thanks, Lisa!

Duplicate - already combined. Thanks!

Nope. You just must have somehow flipped which half you're in.

I use the find book editions far more often, and this way more of them fit without going to the next page.

Apparently I am a good book, but I am a duplicate :D

Yup. Tried to delete it (it wasn't on Amazon.com so I was hopeful) but it repopped from Amazon.ca and I NAB'd it.

Jessica, if it doesn't come up on Amazon, I delete it and then search GR by ISBN. That way if it DOES come back, I can NAB it right away.

Actually, it was a unique edition. The trouble was that another edition had its ISBN-10 (but not its ISBN-13). I fixed that and re-created the Large Print edition.
OTOH, I'm guessing most people actually don't care about edition, and if they do they can easily shift to the corrected LP edition.

Got both. For ones like the latter, it is helpful if you separate the edition to be merged with the specific other one (in this case, this one) so the reviews go to the correct edition. That can only be done when data is supplied (publisher, year of publication, etc.), of course.

For example I present an entry for a potential book that may or may not be released. However the book have been shelved by more than 1500 users. Does that make a difference or should it be deleted?

You'll also see quite a few books without an ISBN that haven't been released yet. Once the book with the ISBN gets uploaded though, it's OK to delete (but first it must be combined with the correct edition, so that when it is deleted all of the reviews get transfered).
