I remember, in the CoLS book trailer, Sebastian said "I have a sister … and I will teach her how to love me."
Valentine should of just grown a pair and grew out of his training pants! He can't expect that a mother isn't going to love her children! She can't just love him- the jealous little bastard! Just because he's incapable of loving more than one thing- unless it benefits him otherwise!
I think Jocelyn will love Sebastian deep down, but he's always going to be the child that her husband mutilated by making him something everyone would hate.

It's not fair because the only man who ever loved, cared and empathised with Sebastian was Valentine. Then by doing what Valentine has made him do- along with the demon bloods assustance- he has created enemies and now has nobody. Except his force of Clary and Jace.

Which is precisely why Sebastian learned from daddy's example... women who you love and they play hard to get... kidnap them, force them to love and if that doesn't work, stalk them until you can kidnap them again. Then, make them drink your blood in a black ceremony, then they will have no choice but to LOVE you!

It was a master plan! lie and screw people over but keep two good family members...they won't screw you over.

I think seb was trying to protect clary from valentine by saying she was naive. Clearly, the game was, he gets clary as his woman and daddy gets jocelyn, as his woman. Everybody gets a prize.
I think it's fair to say Valentine was bad- but Sebastian is worse. But that's because of what his dad has built into him. He doesn't understand right from wrong because Valentine used him a guinea pig! :(
