Zaz | 2969 comments Peter The Untold True Story is totally on my TBR but I'm always hoping that I will win a giveaway (they already did 2 on GR). It will be interesting to know what you think about it.
I read Jobs in the 2015 challenge, it was interesting even if it was not enough personal for me.

Stacey D. | 1908 comments The Godfather was amazing. You really come to understand Don Corleone and the Sicilian belief in omertà and family. Not only understand it. Puzo convinces you that it all makes sense.

Yes, i always wanted to read it and recently i bought it in a book fair in the used books session. I paid very very cheap ($5 in my country currency which means not much more than one dollar). Great deal :)

Stacey D. | 1908 comments It sure is! Enjoy :)

L | 127 comments I bet the Steve Jobs book will be interesting ... just saw the trailer for the film the other day so I wonder how true to the book that will be? Great list for 2016.

Jody (jodybell) | 3477 comments Oh, The Hunchback of Notre Dame is one of my favourites. It can be hard to get into, but it's so worth it. I say this all of the time, but the ending is incredible - so evocative. Every time I think about it, it makes me want to read the book again, just to read the ending.

Maple (maplerie) | 1025 comments Great list! I read Shadow of The Wind this year and fell absolutely in love with it. I'm reading the sequel The Angel's Game for 2016. I hope it keeps with the amazingness of the first book. Admittedly the middle gets a bit weird, in a dull kind of way. It's worth plowing through the dull parts.

Have you seen the TV series Dexter? The book is good, and they definitely took some creative liberties with the show. I found it easier when reading the book not even think of them as being connected.

Sophie (sawphie) | 2826 comments Manda, I'm also reading The Angel's Game next year, I have great hope for it!

I agree, Dexter's books and tv show are so much different, you should not be expecting to see the same story or the same characters.

Maple (maplerie) | 1025 comments I'm so happy you're reading Angel's Game. I'm cautiously optimistic about it. I'm afraid too much hope in it and be disappointed, but SOTW was so great, I have a lot of confidence in Zafon to keep a great story going.

message 15: by Sophie (new)

Sophie (sawphie) | 2826 comments I've heard that the story doesn't pick up after SOTW, so we have to be prepared to get immersed in a new story with new characters. But Zafon doesn't that so beautifully, I'm not anxious at all.

Jody (jodybell) | 3477 comments I loved the series (well, apart from the ending), but couldn't read the first book. I got about twenty or thirty pages in from memory and it just really grates on me.

Sophie (sawphie) | 2826 comments Same here about the ending of the series. But I love the books, for me they're completely different, but I love the sarcastic voice Dexter takes and to have a more detailed view of his thoughts about everything.
