Don't like ice. Apparently we're getting the end of hurricanes, Abigail, Kate and Barney. I need to rake leaves.

You've peaked my interest.....I always think of Quebec when I hear Acadia......then you brought up quesadillas...that doesn't quite go.
lol

http://www.thecedar.org/ (which is just down the street) is where I go for concerts. I'm hoping to repeat the process with better luck on Friday for a local group called Prairie Fire Lady Choir.

I like hearing different musicians.
Acadia, also, looks like my kind of place.

The thing about sleep for me is....at the end of the day..
.I feel like it went by too fast, and I missed something.
Maarit! I'm so jealous. We had parents evening yesterday, I was in school from 7:45 until 18:50. Then travelled home. Been tired all day.
I'm also jealous of the black beans. Yum.

Some out of the way vegetarian restaurant...had acorn squash with black beans and a dab of sour cream (guess it wasn't vegan). I have tried to make it myself....never quite as good.
Sounds delicious. My daughter is a vegan. I bought her a cook book and liked it so much, I had to buy another copy. It has an excellent black bean chilli recipe.

Cool. It's been a while since I have heard them.

This was the group I saw last night, although this recording is from a different performance.

I don't know the group....this time.....
But that song....sung by Pat Benatar....was just on the radio a day or so ago. I don't believe it was coincidental.
It has special meaning, as I just recently lost my husband, and he admired Pat Benatar.
Happy to have heard it, sung a cappella.
By the way, he hated that other musical piece.
;)

Enjoying most of them Helen.
The coffee pot, my husband used more than I, blew a gasket this morning. I just know it was him. It wasn't that old, and he knew I didn't care for his coffee.
lol

I have a Facebook friend who is over there. somewhere hee hee
I think he told me today that it is 6 hrs different.
Going on 5 (17:00) here.
It's 22:05.
Tomorrow, all teachers have been told that we must attend the church near school as the parishioners thought it would be nice.
Not pleased as I work hard five days a week, 7:30-18:00, often take marking home with me. Then I spend about four hours Sunday planning the coming weeks lessons. Now I'm giving up 2:30 hours of that day off for free plus losing my lie in. Rant over.
Hence the early(on Saturday) night.

I've lived here 17 or so years, and since it will be the last, I wanted to do something special.
It's a truck my husband had been working on. Very special.
:)

One of the reasons it's my favorite holiday.
Painting.....will be in tge future. though.
:)
My plan is a decorator so that all the horrendous plaster cracks are dealt with then I can do in the future.
I love lights too, seeing them twinkle in Windows

Is it wrong that I'm glad to have the guests departed and the house to myself? The amount of time I've picked up my book, read half a page and had to stop are countless.

I'm happy to be alone with my books.
I need a Do Not Disturb sign for the rest of the weekend.
Back to retail world Monday morning, and soooo it must go on.
At least, for now..........
No! I've been alone since Christmas eve so books have been happening here. Daughters dad is popping round tomorrow, mixed blessing, then back to just me. Reading and planning over next week.

I wonder if we'll get sunshine this year, I'm so feed up of rain that I'm craving hot sunshine beating down.

The sun came out and it got cold.
Of course, that's when my heater chose to act up.

Would it be beneficial to somehow reopen the threads for the first 2 books when they were the BOTM so people can try to catch up in the series and discuss together? Maybe the people reading #3 would want to further discuss with those catching up as well?
I wasn't sure where to post this question, so if you want me to move it I can. Thanks!!
Crown Tower thread will be open under the archives reads from 2013. Book two hasn't been read. This was allowed as it is set in the same world but not an ongoing series. You don't need to read book one or two to read this, the author also discussed this briefly.
Having said that they are excellent.

Oh, that is good to know. So I won't be spoiling anything to read book 3 then. Glad I can just jump in!
