Cameo | 3 comments I read this book probably around 2004 or 2005 when I was about 11-12 years old. It was for a school project so it wasn't a book I really cared about reading but I know it was a fantasy book and I think it was published in the 1980s or the 1990s. I think it was aimed at kids about that age--maybe ages 10 to 12, maybe a little younger--and it was a chapter book. I don't remember the plot super well, but I know that it was about a young girl (I think she was a princess) from a fantasy world and she knew some kind of wizard guy and went to his house all the time and in his house was like some sort of body of water, like a pool or something, that was a mirror of some kind into our world/Earth. At some point she goes through this pool and ends up in modern day (1980s-90s) New York City and she then has to figure out how to go around NYC and find a way to get home. I checked this book out from my middle school library and, for what it's worth, it was a light blue hardcover book. I can't remember anything else about it, really. It struck me at the time as being a really bad and obscure fantasy book. Thanks in advance to any help!

Lou Rocama | 457 comments Princess Nevermore (Princess Nevermore and the Wizard's Apprentice, #1) by Dian Curtis Regan ?

There's an edition with a blue cover, but the description isn't as good:

Princess Nevermore by Dian Curtis Regan
