Are Gabo's Stories really extolling immorality: with no place for women, and her feelings.

Memories of My Melancholy Whores by Gabriel García Márquez Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel García Márquez

Gabo's novels that I have read - " Memories of My melancholy whores,"Chronicles of death foretold","Love in the time of cholera",always talked and spoke from a perspective of a man. The protagonist, more or less, always had a big list- a number of her love encounters.I don't believe these are acts of turpitude, but recently i have been wondering a lot about the other side of story - the teenager girl who committed suicide and whom Florentiono Ariza was physically active with, inspite of being her guardian,- in "Love in time of cholera" ; the maid whom the protagonist of "Chronicle of death foretold" always molested, whenever he got a chance; The 70 year old maid of "Memories of My Melancholy Whores" who still loved the old putative man and inspite of being weak, herself, would come to take care of him and his house.

When I think of all those characters, I feel pang, hurt and anger. I do understand that love cant be caught or trapped within limits, be it societal or mental, but when we think of love, in one sided face where it transcendents the set and predefined moral rules and forgo to see the devastating affects it has on, if not devastating than Damaging affects, people. how correct is our vision of love?

I may be missing many points, here, but i really want to know what others think about this ? Is the context in which Gabo's writes a normal context of Latin America, where huge age gap between love partners is common occurrence. Where still the voice of woman is not considered to be something of substance.
