I am happy we have you in this group and if you ever need to talk you can message me as well! I just found this group too and really love it already. It is nice to be able to come up here and talk about everything and anything. And I have been in a lot of groups and I never feel like I really belong.

Barbara. I'm so sorry for both of your losses. Please feel free to vent here at anytime. We are all here to listen and only participate with what you can. You definitely don't have to participate in everything. We don't have any requirements. We just want you to enjoy reading and the group. If you ever need anything we are all here for you.

TessaMarie Beard Is it bad that I've literally listenedd to the same song over 150 times the past 4 weeks and I'm still repeating it.

I love those two groups. They live in my cd player during this time of year. I'm such a band nerd. I was actually a band nerd in high school. Played the flute.

TessaMarie Beard So basically before Christmas December 5th this year, St. Nikklolas Comes and rewards children with candy and other treats that he puts in their shoes. Krampus is St. Nikkolas's assistant who punishes bad children. He does this by putting them in a bag and hitting them with a stick, the really bad children he takes and drags down to hell. He Looks like this...

During the night in Bavarian villages men Dress up as Krampus run through the town, wacking People with sticks, Messing up your hair, and just generally terrifying everyone.

message 76: by TessaMarie (new)

TessaMarie Beard It's quite the way to get children to be good

Congratulations! We are all very excited for you!

Christmas is such a wonderful time of year to have that wonderful question popped!

message 89: by Inky (last edited Dec 28, 2015 12:58AM) (new)

Inky Quick question, is there a place either on the internet or someplace where I can have a virtual tbr jar and can randomly pick my next book? I've been thinking of making a tbr jar but there's just too many to read and I don't want to get overwhelmed. I hope I'm making sense.

Sidenote, my boyfriend's apartment is creepy at night. I'm going to need some happy, fun books to read when I stay here and he needs to work. Lol.

message 90: by Emily Rabecca (new)

Emily Rabecca (northernbellebookworm) Barbara, I don't know of a place online but that sounds like a good idea. i have two TBR jars and I barely use them maybe if the were online I would lol

Oh no, I hate creepy places lol. I would have happy movies on and reading happy books all the time lol

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
That is a really good idea. I had a TBR jar at one point but I have so many series I would forget to update the TBR jar with the next book in the series so I kind of gave up on it. lol

Maybe you could use something like a random number generator or rafflecopter type of thing. Just a thought.

I have heard about random but I just don't know if I could assign my books numbers. lol they aren't a number. lol

message 95: by Inky (new)

Inky I guess I could make up a master list and put the number in a random generator. I could possibly just use the number of my books in a certain bookshelf on my Goodreads. All of my books are there. I'll just need to count up or down to that book (whatever I'm feeling that day). I hope that makes sense.

I love fairy-tale re-tellings as well! Rosamund Hodge has done an excellent job so far. She's done Beauty and the Best (Cruel Beauty), Little Red Ridding Hood (Crimson Bound). I love them! You should check them out.
