Jessica~CoinOperatedJoy | 319 comments I haven't had a chance to pick up anything new (lots going on over here) but I think I will pick up American Psycho and I am still working through VA the first book...I am taking my time on this one because I like reading these books near Halloween so I am hoping to stretch the series out until October so I can start reading "Let the Right One in, "Dracula" and "Frankenstein." Or as Jo calls it, "Frankie." ;)

Is it a manga, right ? I use to like reading manga few years ago and then I stopped after I spent 6 months in Japan, long story. I'm planning to try read some again. What would you recommend if you had to choose your best manga ever ?

message 117: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, it's manga. It's really good. I'm not sure...probably either Fullmetal Alchemist or From Far Away.

message 118: by [deleted user] (new)

I gotta go. School.

Jerrod (liquidazrael) ♫Death by Fire♫ wrote: "I'm reading Fullmetal Alchemist."

I've not read the Manga yet, but the anime series is very good, well worth the money I spent to add it to my collection. I'll have to put in on my list to check out.

message 120: by Shelli (new)

Shelli Stuart wrote: "American Gods by Neil Gaiman."

I own this book...please let me know what you think Stuart!

message 121: by [deleted user] (new)

I really like the anime, too!! It's sooooo good!! The manga is very captivating.

message 122: by Jerrod (new)

Jerrod (liquidazrael) the bad thing about anime is the shear amount of crap you sift through before you really find a great series or stand alone movie. Ghost In The Shell and Akira will probably be my all time favorites, in anime and manga. Although my buddy gives Berserk many good words too.

Excellent book. It combines Norse Gods, grifting and a disjointed road trip through America.

message 124: by Ally (new)

Ally (goodreadscomuser_allhug) Hello everyone, I think this may be my first post on this group - I've been lurking for a few days to get the lay of the land - I'm looking forward to reading some different genres to what I would usually choose.

At the moment I'm reading [Book: The Piano Teacher] by [Author: Elfriede Jelinek] as its been recommended by a friend. - its very different to what I'd normally choose so I'm a little wary. I'll let you know what I think.

bye for now...

Ally
