This is really weird. There's a book I've read with a Captain Thorne (who is a bad guy), and a General Thorne, (who's even worse). Well the generals have a mountain lion pin for a badge.

Thorne does sound like a very good bad guy last name. It's for a Rapunzel retelling, and in the original, the prince got blinded by falling in a thorn bush... and I'm guessing that's where Marissa Meyer got the idea. ;)

Yep, I can think of at least one other bad guy named Thorne. They are usually the petty, annoying sort. Except for General Quayin Thorne. I couldn't think of a crueller person.
