Under Daniel.

I don't think dragons could fly across the pacific and I couldn't get them on a plane or boat. Sorry but you may never see Merideth, Exsis or Ivy again. Unless I find a portal of some kind. Maybe one world hop and back just to help me get there.

message 54: by Merenwen (new)

Merenwen Inglorion | 106 comments @Bria: For the sake of the story, we're assuming that we all have ways to get the characters to Jaye. So we may just end up writing slightly fiction versions of ourselves. ;)
Say, you know how to work a boat, have one, get the dragons onto it, and maybe have the dragons alternate between pulling the boat. Oh, and they can catch and eat fish on the way, so you don't have to bring a ton of meat on the trip. :)
Note: The version of "me" presented in my part will be mostly fiction, as in my present circumstances, there's no way I'd even be able to leave the house/my family to go across town, let alone Wisconsin. ;)

@C.B.: Why didn't I think of that?!?!? o_O *hangs head in shame for not being a proper fan girl*
*proceeds to squeal with everyone else*
We should totally do a sequel where we all have to get back home. :D

message 55: by Brie (new)

Brie Donning (briedonning) | 199 comments I wasn't completely serious when I wrote that. I've got an idea. It involves some kind of portal still. I am not crossing the Pacific Ocean it a boat though. That would be madness. I couldn't leave to go anywhere either.

I've written my first bit and am ready to post. I suspect Resterwen won't be getting on this weekend though.

C.B. Cook (cbcook) | 293 comments @Bria: You could always fly down across Europe and Africa and then use Antarctica to cross over to the Americas. XD

message 57: by Firefly (new)

Firefly (fireflys12) | 256 comments Or collect random people and tie their hands and legs together and make a bridge.

message 58: by C.B. (new)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) | 293 comments XD That's a good idea...

message 59: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments So, since we're discussing meeting up - any other Texans that I might meet up with?

message 60: by C.B. (new)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) | 293 comments *waves hands wildly* MEEEE!!!

message 61: by Sierra (new)

Sierra | 116 comments *suddenly curious* hey, are any New Englanders going to the ConnectFest on October 3rd?

message 62: by deborah (new)

deborah o'carroll (deborahocarroll) | 74 comments Texan here. XD I believe Claire is as well...

message 63: by Sarah (new)

Sarah R. | 80 comments So do you guys have Texan accents?

message 64: by Sarah (new)

Sarah R. | 80 comments Haha! Off topic you don't have to answer that ;)

message 65: by deborah (new)

deborah o'carroll (deborahocarroll) | 74 comments Not really... that *I* notice. XD Speaking for myself, of course... :P

message 66: by C.B. (new)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) | 293 comments Yeah, Claire is. She lives close to my grandparents...

I don't have one!!! My grandparents do, and my aunt a little bit, but I've grown up in cities, so... not really. :P

message 67: by Sarah (new)

Sarah R. | 80 comments I wonder why it works like that. The more Urban you are the less likely you take on your states accent. I think Texan accents are cool! Oh! and New Jersey accents.

message 68: by deborah (new)

deborah o'carroll (deborahocarroll) | 74 comments Accents are awesome. Especially Australian, Scottish, Irish, and British ones. :D

Also, I'm not sure one can really HEAR one's own accent. XD Though there are times when I feel like I sound a little bit Texan...

And I just realized that since I'm not even writing in the fanfic thing, for the practical purposes of this thread it doesn't matter where I live! My bad. :P

message 69: by C.B. (new)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) | 293 comments Most accents are neat. ;) The Maximoff twins made Eastern European accents cool. :P

message 70: by Sarah (new)

Sarah R. | 80 comments I agree all accents are awesome. Except some Pennsylvanian accents! When they say you's!! Aaaah!!!

message 71: by Sarah (new)

Sarah R. | 80 comments Yeah, I agree Deborah, people can't really hear there own accents. So you guys probably do have one, you just can't hear it. :)

message 72: by gabi (new)

gabi | 358 comments So I have Kaden and Michael... Merenwen, would it be alright if I switch Michael with Daican??? *evil scheming*

message 73: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments @Whowever asked about the accent. I do have something of a Texan accent, not as bad as my Papaw, but I can make it worse if I try. I frequently also have a British accent, but I don't know where that came from. Maybe too many British TV shows and the like.

And, for specifics, I live in the East Texas area, close(ish) to the Louisiana and Arkansas borders. I'll probably be taking Davira north by train, because I have a train station in my immediate area, and I've actually ridden a train before, so it's what I know.

message 74: by Merenwen (new)

Merenwen Inglorion | 106 comments @Gabriela: Suuuuuurrrree... *decides to be an even mix of "fan of evil scheming", and "slightly worried about evil scheming"* O_O
Anyone else want Michael? If not, I'd be happy to take him. :)

I'm near the west coast, so I don't think I'd be meeting up with anyone before Wisconsin. Unless someone has a faulty GPS that takes them waaaaaaaaayyyyy off track. :)

message 75: by C.B. (new)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) | 293 comments Oooh, I'm terrible with directions. Maybe while I'm flying Gem I somehow end up near the Pacific. XD Or maybe I accidentally head south... XD

message 76: by Brie (new)

Brie Donning (briedonning) | 199 comments C.B. wrote: "@Bria: You could always fly down across Europe and Africa and then use Antarctica to cross over to the Americas. XD"

Europe and Africa? That's up not down. I could go though Asia though. My older brother suggested flying across and resting on cargo ships. Using tracking to find out where they are. Maybe.

message 77: by C.B. (new)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) | 293 comments *facepalm* For some reason I thought you were from England... Never mind me. :P

That's a good idea!

Really? I don't have a strong accent but I've been told by someone that she likes it. Reminded her of when she lived in Australia a long tome ago. The other week I had someone ask me what part of the world I was from. She thought I had an unusually accent. I don't know why.

message 79: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (wordfitlyspoken) | 158 comments *pokes head in*

I love accents. And I agree that most people can't hear theirs. Apparently I have a very moderate American accent, but I do tend to take on the accent of whoever I'm with. Also, I can usually pull out a good southern drawl even if I'm not around southerners. :)

message 80: by Sarah (new)

Sarah R. | 80 comments Where are you from Amanda? You might have said before I just can't always keep up.

message 81: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (wordfitlyspoken) | 158 comments I'm from North Carolina originally, but I've lived in Florida for five years. :)

message 82: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 410 comments I'm just gonna jump in. *excited fangirl squeal* This is SO exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm Ohio. Anyone else from the lovely state?

Accents are SO AWESOME!!!

message 83: by C.B. (new)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) | 293 comments My grandpa is! ;) Obviously, he's not doing this. :P

message 84: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 410 comments :P

message 85: by Sarah (new)

Sarah R. | 80 comments I have a bunch of close relatives who live in the Bel-fountain Ohio. What area are you from?

message 86: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 410 comments I have relatives who live in Bellefountaine! I'm around Mount Vernon. It's about two hours away from Bellefountaine.

message 87: by gabi (new)

gabi | 358 comments My dad lived near Cincinnati as a child. We still visit his parents there sometimes. What city/town do you live in?

message 88: by Sarah (new)

Sarah R. | 80 comments That's so cool! This truly is a small world! And I totally spelled Bellefountaine wrong. :/ are you a buckeyes fan? My aunt is a huge fan! She's constantly giving us buckeyes fan stuff despite our team being VA tech.

message 89: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (wordfitlyspoken) | 158 comments Well...this topic got off track rather quickly.

*sighs* Story of the Ilyon group, right there.

message 90: by Sierra (new)

Sierra | 116 comments :o) This is probably the most consistently off topic group on goodreads...

message 91: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 410 comments A small world indeed! I don't watch sports often, but yeah buckeyes.

message 92: by Sierra (new)

Sierra | 116 comments *is feeling very lost in this conversation* So, any other New Englanders...?

message 93: by Sarah (new)

Sarah R. | 80 comments Ok back on topic I've got a question. (Or a suggestion) do ya'll think Resterwen knows that it's her turn next to do the fan fiction? I totally understand if she does realize and she is just to crazy busy this week.
I know we probably won't be hearing from her for a week or three, ( cause you wouldn't be hearing from me on my honeymoon for sure) so my suggestion is, what if we switched her position in line for the person who's last on the fan fiction, for one round.
I can be patient and wait too (I really can) Just a suggestion.

message 94: by Sarah (new)

Sarah R. | 80 comments Sorry Sierra, I just realized I accidentally cut you off.

message 95: by Sierra (new)

Sierra | 116 comments Cut me off? How?
I haven't written my part down yet, but I do know what I want to write, so I could swap with her. I think I'm last on the list, unless someone else has joined since me

message 96: by Sarah (new)

Sarah R. | 80 comments Maybe "cutting off" was the wrong phrase. I meant changing topics so rapidly... It kinda chopped the former conversation to a halt. But what am I saying here? I guess that's beauty of being us, we are all so random!

message 97: by Sarah (new)

Sarah R. | 80 comments First we need Merewen's confirmation before we switch anything. I'm sure she will pop in here shortly. :D

message 98: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 410 comments That seems like a good idea. And I'm sure Merewen will pop in any moment now. :D

message 99: by C.B. (new)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) | 293 comments I agree, we should probably see about switching the order.

message 100: by Erika (new)

Erika Mathews (erikamathews) | 199 comments I do realize I'm next. And yes, I'm crazy busy. :) Please switch me to last if possible - I do have plans to finish my post but now isn't a good time.

Thanks! See you all after this amazing few weeks! :)
