Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments I love LibriVox! I'm considering narrating for them.

message 152: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments Same here. I signed up... but then my free time evaporated and I've net been able to do it.

message 153: by C.B. (new)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) | 293 comments XD That's my problem, that I just don't have that much time to read. I'm having enough trouble making time to write...

YES. I've listened to two of theirs, Grimms' Fairy Tales and Jane Eyre. That's the only way I was able to get through Jane Eyre. Narrating would be soooo much fun!!! I'd just be worried about equipment and such.

message 154: by Firefly (new)

Firefly (fireflys12) | 256 comments I've done librivox, as well. I listened to Ivanhoe for school. Some of the narrators I really enjoyed listening to.

message 155: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 410 comments They're all free? There's more then two?!?! I've only read the first book and watched the movie (laughing while my mom freaks out about the flying monkey).

message 156: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments There are a good ... at least ten books in the official series.

message 157: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 410 comments Really? Wow.

message 158: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 410 comments It'd be cool to read for them. I've always wanted to act, but I'm not one for doing things in front of other people, so then I wanted to read audio books.

message 159: by Merenwen (new)

Merenwen Inglorion | 106 comments Yes, I can post mine now! :D
Wizard of Oz? Free AUDIO BOOKS?!?!? *saves to check out later*

Just so everyone knows, I moved Resterwen to the bottom, so after me is Hannah. :)

message 160: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Beguerie (amandabeguerie) | 467 comments I badly want to read for ACX, which is the producer for Audible, but you have to be eighteen. There are soooooo many indie books that don't have audiobooks.
My family is in radio, too, and I've done VoiceOver myself, so in three more years, I WILL NARRATE ALL THE BOOKS.

message 176: by Brie (new)

Brie Donning (briedonning) | 199 comments When I saw you talking about Oz, I thought LibriVox too. I didn't record any though.

message 177: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments I read/listened to Sky Island and The Sea Fairies via libravox. And the Dramatic recording of The Scarecrow of Oz, which is one of my favorite books of the series.

message 178: by Merenwen (new)

Merenwen Inglorion | 106 comments Thanks, everybody, for the encouragement. :D

*reads the posts several times* *rotfl from seeing other fan girls incapacitated by the awesomeness of Ilyon characters in RL*
Well, except for Firefly...she's got her fan girl in the bag, and her Queenship out of the box... ;) XD

*cackles in a plotting way*

message 179: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (sarahtaleweaver) | 22 comments *pops in*
So, I know I don't ever actually post on this group mostly because I spent all my book money before TKS came out and I'm scared of spoilers but I've been stalking the fanfiction and it's awesome. *nods*

Also, I got the free versions of all the Oz books yesterday . . . and my mom was like "Good grief, Sarah, you downloaded thirteen books?" and I was like "But they're free!"

message 180: by C.B. (new)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) | 293 comments XD That would be me. And my mom's skepticism. :P

message 181: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments For the record, I'm not going the fangirl route in my chapters. I'm being incredibly professional. (What Maryanne does is another matter.) As an author myself (and having ended up with a villain), I can't afford fangirling in this situation.

I'm amused by your moms' reactions. We usually have the opposite in my house, though. My Mom uses my amazon account for the appstore on her tablet ... and she's constantly buying free apps.

message 182: by Firefly (new)

Firefly (fireflys12) | 256 comments My fangirling is being limited to hugs and evil plotting.

message 183: by Erika (new)

Erika Mathews (erikamathews) | 199 comments Pops in to let the clan know I'll try to post my story part one today. :)

message 184: by gabi (new)

gabi | 358 comments Yippee! Don't worry if you can't, Resterwen!!! We totally understand.

message 185: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 410 comments Yay! If you can't though, we'd all understand! :) :)

message 186: by Erika (new)

Erika Mathews (erikamathews) | 199 comments Posted my part. It's not quite how I intended it to go, but characters love to do things their own way. :)

message 187: by gabi (new)

gabi | 358 comments That's so cool, Resterwen!

message 188: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 410 comments Cool, Resterwen! You got Rayad AND Kyrin! Both some strong willed characters!

message 189: by Erika (new)

Erika Mathews (erikamathews) | 199 comments Yeah, that's why I didn't feel I could handle Trask on top on that... ;) :)

message 190: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 410 comments ;)

message 191: by Firefly (new)

Firefly (fireflys12) | 256 comments I love yours, Resterwen! :D

message 192: by Stargazer (new)

Stargazer R. L. | 576 comments I'm having fun reading y'alls fanfic. It's so fun. :D

message 193: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments Fun. Back to me ... I'll post it some time after I get home from work this evening.

message 194: by Alyssa (new)

Sarah (sarahtaleweaver) | 22 comments Kendra wrote: "I'm amused by your moms' reactions. We usually have the opposite in my house, though. My Mom uses my amazon account for the appstore on her tablet ... and she's constantly buying free apps."

C.B. wrote: "XD That would be me. And my mom's skepticism. :P"

Heh. My mom's all for free stuff, as a rule- it's just the amount that caught her off guard. Before now, the most free books I've ever downloaded at one time was . . . six-ish, I think?

message 196: by C.B. (new)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) | 293 comments @Resterwen: I love it!!! You did an awesome job. It's so much more subtle than the rest of ours. ;)

@Sarah: I've gone on free book sprees... Amazon is my TBR enemy. :P

message 197: by Erika (new)

Erika Mathews (erikamathews) | 199 comments Thanks. I was trying to keep it true to life for me, and there's no way I'd see someone who looked like someone I know and immediately talk to them for that reason. :)

message 198: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments Okay, just got off from work, and ended up working an extra hour, so it may take a bit before I put my brain together enough to post something. But hopefully I'll have something soon.

message 199: by Kendra (new)

Kendra Ardnek | 541 comments Okay, it's up. And I think it ended up being a bit long again??? I'm sorry, she and Maryanne were amusing me! And I needed to impress on Davira the gravity of the situation.

Also, since Marenwen said that we can used fictional versions of ourselves, I'm using my Ankulen-universe self, because she has a few more resources than I do.

message 200: by gabi (last edited Oct 11, 2015 06:20AM) (new)

gabi | 358 comments Yay! I love it, Kendra! Davira is so creepy awesome.
