I love LibriVox! I'm considering narrating for them.

XD That's my problem, that I just don't have that much time to read. I'm having enough trouble making time to write...YES. I've listened to two of theirs, Grimms' Fairy Tales and Jane Eyre. That's the only way I was able to get through Jane Eyre. Narrating would be soooo much fun!!! I'd just be worried about equipment and such.
I've done librivox, as well. I listened to Ivanhoe for school. Some of the narrators I really enjoyed listening to.
They're all free? There's more then two?!?! I've only read the first book and watched the movie (laughing while my mom freaks out about the flying monkey).
It'd be cool to read for them. I've always wanted to act, but I'm not one for doing things in front of other people, so then I wanted to read audio books.
Yes, I can post mine now! :DWizard of Oz? Free AUDIO BOOKS?!?!? *saves to check out later*
Just so everyone knows, I moved Resterwen to the bottom, so after me is Hannah. :)
I badly want to read for ACX, which is the producer for Audible, but you have to be eighteen. There are soooooo many indie books that don't have audiobooks. My family is in radio, too, and I've done VoiceOver myself, so in three more years, I WILL NARRATE ALL THE BOOKS.
@Amanda In that case I have five years... :(@Sarah I LOVED yours!! So funny!
@Merenwen SO awesome!
@Everybody These are all hilarious! I'm loving them all!! XD
You guys are also creative! I love reading your fan fiction! This is so much fun too!! *plots next fan fiction* *Chuckles evil chuckle*
:D :D :D :D I was grinning so hard (and ok, squealing the tiniest bit out loud) that my mom looked over at me and asked what was going on.

I read/listened to Sky Island and The Sea Fairies via libravox. And the Dramatic recording of The Scarecrow of Oz, which is one of my favorite books of the series.
Thanks, everybody, for the encouragement. :D*reads the posts several times* *rotfl from seeing other fan girls incapacitated by the awesomeness of Ilyon characters in RL*
Well, except for Firefly...she's got her fan girl in the bag, and her Queenship out of the box... ;) XD
*cackles in a plotting way*
*pops in*So, I know I don't ever actually post on this group
Also, I got the free versions of all the Oz books yesterday . . . and my mom was like "Good grief, Sarah, you downloaded thirteen books?" and I was like "But they're free!"
For the record, I'm not going the fangirl route in my chapters. I'm being incredibly professional. (What Maryanne does is another matter.) As an author myself (and having ended up with a villain), I can't afford fangirling in this situation.I'm amused by your moms' reactions. We usually have the opposite in my house, though. My Mom uses my amazon account for the appstore on her tablet ... and she's constantly buying free apps.
Posted my part. It's not quite how I intended it to go, but characters love to do things their own way. :)

Heh. My mom's all for free stuff, as a rule- it's just the amount that caught her off guard. Before now, the most free books I've ever downloaded at one time was . . . six-ish, I think?
@Resterwen: I love it!!! You did an awesome job. It's so much more subtle than the rest of ours. ;) @Sarah: I've gone on free book sprees... Amazon is my TBR enemy. :P
Thanks. I was trying to keep it true to life for me, and there's no way I'd see someone who looked like someone I know and immediately talk to them for that reason. :)
Okay, just got off from work, and ended up working an extra hour, so it may take a bit before I put my brain together enough to post something. But hopefully I'll have something soon.
Okay, it's up. And I think it ended up being a bit long again??? I'm sorry, she and Maryanne were amusing me! And I needed to impress on Davira the gravity of the situation. Also, since Marenwen said that we can used fictional versions of ourselves, I'm using my Ankulen-universe self, because she has a few more resources than I do.
