Oh Wow! I think Eve would go ballistic...and then methodically set about doing what she does best - solving the case, getting them back, and making the villain pay.


Oh! I misunderstood the situation you were posing, Ladyacct. I don't want to consider that one...wouldn't want to lose one of my fav characters.


That's one reason I wish she spread out the books. Not how often they come out, I'd never wish for that. But when they are placed in Eve's world. There's like nearly 40 books and only 2 years in Eve's life? Not even NYC should have a murder rate that high!

She was a traitor so it works.
I really can't see any difference between one of the characters getting hurt or one of them getting killed. In Vision, when Peabody was attacked the whole department, including Roarke, went after the prep. When they found him Eve also managed to kick him in the balls, and said that was for Peabody.
She also felt guilty because she didn't think about him attacking Peabody.
She did something similar in Witness when Trueheart was hurt.
