Anna Faversham: Hide in Time - Amazon #1 Time Travel Romance 0.99
Oh groan...! Thank you, Jim. Doh! I doubt that many follow them either. I just thought I really, really must drag myself into doing this sort of stuff.
As for sharing on social media - I have avoided sm like the plague as I might start and never get out of it. And I'm a great one for putting my foot in it just by missing out an essential comma or something.
My marketing is from the Dark Ages. What I need is a teenager sitting on my shoulder.
Thanks for that link which will give me an excuse for doing another post...
And to prove it - here is the next post:Oh groan... a very kind person (xoxox) pointed out that there's a better, direct link to the sparkling new blog I've created on Goodreads. You may already have closed this post down and I wouldn't blame you, but I am trying, really I am.

From 15th October through to 21st the three books in The Dark Moon Series are on sale for 0.99 each in the UK and US markets. For the US, it works out to be three books for the price of one, and the UK arithmetic comes close, it’s just out by a few pennies! The dark nights are coming and curling up with a good book, or three, has to be one way of getting through lockdowns, dark nights, snow, ice, storms, earthquakes (OK, I've gone a bit far there) and all for 2.97. If you're quick - of course you are!
It is 1821 and smuggling is rife on the English coast. Lucy doesn’t know who to trust, while those around her suspect she is a spy and treat her accordingly. Her problems increase when two men enter her life:
Lieutenant Karl Thorsen, sworn to avenge his father’s murder, is determined to hang the violent smugglers.
Daniel Tynton has smuggling in his blood. Undaunted by Thorsen's threats, he is respected and feared. When he witnesses a murder, he makes a bold decision, and many lives will never be the same.
When the smugglers and revenue men have their day of reckoning, Lucy is caught in the middle - endangering her life.
Our choices determine our future. A romantic thriller mystery.
In 1823, on an island off the south coast of England, there are activities worse than smuggling and all the conflict points to one cruel and ruthless man. The women on the island call him the Dark Star.
Lieutenant Karl Thorsen enlists the help of his old enemy, reformed smuggler Daniel Tynton who infiltrates the gang to defeat the evil that brings poverty to ‘the diamond isle’. Karl, entranced by a mysterious French woman, rescues her from the captivity of the Dark Star. The Dark Star takes his revenge.
Journey into one dark, wounded heart. By 1825 Lucy has escaped from poverty and found true love married to a good man. Knowing Lieutenant Karl Thorsen still feels a hopeless passion for her, Lucy tries to help him find happiness with Elizabeth, a feisty young American. Then a charming, talented and mysterious artist comes into their lives. Intrigued, Lucy does not see the signs of impending tragedy stealing towards them. She ignores all warnings and pays a high price for her folly. When she disappears, the clues suggest one man but surely he cannot be guilty? Something is not quite right. A piece of the jigsaw is missing.

I shall soon be raising the price of Immortality: This Is Probably a Novel back to its usual price (which is not that much anyway!). However, it has just received a super review on Goodreads from someone I don't know (but wouldn't mind getting to know!). I'll let it speak for itself:"Maria Melo rated it - 5* it was amazing
The prose is engaging and lively, and I was absorbed right from the first page. It is, at times, an unsettling read, mirroring Chester’s own experiences as he leaves London to go into hiding in New Zealand and is visited by people with troubling stories to tell. Are they real, or are they hallucinations or spirits? This is both a morality tale and a redemption tale, and the storytelling is so skilled that the layers of meaning are revealed and understood in good time, and to powerful effect. A compelling novel that I didn’t want to put down, this is a highly-recommended read. This book might be especially profound if, like me, you are at a time in your life when you are more introspective about the meaning of life and your significance in the world, and it speaks to your ruminations about past actions and their consequences, and how you can proceed to live more compassionately, and less selfishly.
This is an insightful review. You can see why I wish this lady well.
The low prices will only last until the end of the month.

February’s blog takes a look at two more authors’ reasons for writing. Writing takes up an awful lot of time so why do they do it?There’s also a poem by a Goodreads member and it sure will make you think. Are we all sometimes guilty of this? Can we change? Does giving an orange, banana or choccie bar help? You be the judge.
I’m also asking you to share on the blog your favourite stress reducers.

Caught between them is Lucy Yorton, a young woman torn away from her life of privilege and thrown into a whirlpool of temptation and betrayal. Can she decide where her heart truly lies?”

is on sale for 0.99 in US and UK and also FREE on Kindle Unlimited until 7th May. Here’s what a Goodreads reviewer had to say about it:
What a beautifully written book. I instantly fell in love with the characters and cared about what happened to them. I loved the history, the little gems of information which sent me off to research further and the concept of the story. I found it believable even though it’s a work of imagination and fiction. Hide in Time is a must read for all those looking for a well written book in which to lose oneself. Highly recommended.

One Stolen Kiss and other short stories:
Deep in the World of the Dead – Former Army soldier, Ben, tries to settle into civilian life and moves to a new town to audition as a Big Band trumpet player. But when his housing arrangements fall through, he learns how easy it is to become homeless through no fault of his own. Dark clouds sometimes have a silver lining and none shine brighter than those with romance attached.
Judge Not – You know what they say about assumptions. A holidaymaker in Italy makes the mistake of misjudging and is humbled when, at last, she discovers the truth. Love comes in different guises.
Angela – Angels come in all shapes and sizes, and some of us have entertained them unaware. As the poet says, “God moves in a mysterious way”.
A Wonderful World – The loss of a loved one can lead to loneliness, but new doors stand open.
One Stolen Kiss – Set in 1814 England, this is a prelude to Anna Faversham's Dark Moon Trilogy. Daniel, a key figure in the smuggling community, becomes aware of a young girl who will change his life.
Just right for sitting in the sun with a cool drink. Of course, if you're in the southern hemisphere, then perhaps sitting in front of the fire with a hot drink is a better option :-)

Snooze is better; you can always celebrate later.I practically get psychotic due to interrupted and bad-quality sleep - for years now. I have trained myself to 'rest' for at least 30 min. if I have them, 20 or 15 if I can't make more. Eyes closed, horizontal if possible, no sound... And it is ALWAYS better than nothing, though waking up sometimes leaves me horribly groggy for a while.
My first review:Readers' Favorite 5 star review
There is a wonderful romanticism about time travel. The idea of moving to a simpler period of history that we admire in order to escape the complex and messy aspects of our modern lives is a deeply appealing one. That romanticism is captured wonderfully by author Anna Faversham in her new novel which sees protagonist Liberty get so lost in the idea of escaping her life into the past that a mishap sees her sent to the wrong past entirely. The author’s prose does a marvelous job of bringing to life the feel and spirit of the 1960s, with descriptive writing that made me feel like I was walking down the streets of London. This gifted prose extends to the protagonist herself with quirks and mannerisms that made her feel fully realized and grounded in reality. Overall, Mistake In Time is a fun and exciting adventure through the ages with an engaging protagonist adventuring through a vividly realized vision of the swinging 60s.
Phew! What a relief!

Have you ever made a mistake? Liberty made one that couldn’t be put right. In her haste to distance herself from her two-timing love-of-her-life, she sets off to go to Regency England. Simple. She knew exactly what to do to get there. What could go wrong?Find out more on https://www.goodreads.com/author_blog...
“…rooted for her, as she tried to courageously navigate through her problems…”
If you fancy going on a journey that goes wrong (!) please take a look at Mistake in Time
I've just taken a look at the first page of this author thread which is all about elephants and candles and jolly welcomes to me as a newbie. Now look at me! All serious and silent. Hmmm... I can fix the latter.
I opened my emails at the beginning of October and got a shock. One of my oldest books had won a prize and I began to look at the dear old thing with new eyes – the eyes of the Readers’ Favorite reviewer, who is now one of my favourite people!“One Dark Night by Anna Faversham is a very good book offering romance, danger, adventure, mystery, excitement and so much more and I found it was very hard to put down. I really was rooting for Lucy to end up with a good life for all the grief she had endured and was hoping she would pick the man I liked best. I also hoped that all the bad people would get what they deserved. Anna Faversham did a perfect job of combining all the elements into one winning story and I highly recommend One Dark Night be added to your reading list.”
I hope you will like
as much as the reviewer did.If you take a look at my blog https://www.goodreads.com/author_blog... if you wish you can also tell us how a particular choice changed your life.
Congratulations!What a treat.
But sometimes a book just needs to start rolling go accumulate the accolades.
And you obviously have a new fan. Kudos. Those surprises make our days.
Isn't it nice for an author when a reader 'gets' what you're trying to convey? Indeed, it was a surprise that made my day - once I'd got over the shock!
It's the very best feeling - you find out you're not weird, just niche. What I also like to think is that the readers who like that niche have trouble finding enough things in it to satisfy their reading wishes - and you've made their day, too.
Anna wrote: "and you've made their day, too.So we get two happy people! A good thought, Alicia."
I've ended up with a lot of new friends that way, people I might never have met otherwise, but we connected because I saw something in a review they wrote or a book they chose to review, and made a personal appeal that they might like my writing, and they tried it.
Some of my best reviews have come that way. And often from older guys whose reviews I treasure. I request their permission to use their words for marketing, etc., and get the best quotes.
Yes, Alicia, through writing and reading I too have made many cyber friends and touchable friends too. All enrich my life - absolute treasure.

Time travel romance. If you like a romance with a little bit of mystery, a touch of humour and something of the thriller, then please grab a copy and visit another time, another place. From 31st March
Time Travel Romance: Landing in Swinging London wasn't in the plan - but it sure is fun. Pursued by both a goodie and a baddie, Liberty runs into a few problems, to say the least. Will she ever get to her coveted life in Regency England or must she settle for something completely different? From 27th March. Both are 0.99 for 7 days and, of course, if you are a Kindle Unlimited member, they are free! Something to read during the Easter break perhaps?
What else has this blog got? There’s a very short Easter story for readers and you can tell us what your favourite genre is in the comments section. Authors really like to know who likes what!
And there’s a question for authors too.
Then there’s a completely daft ‘Random Act of Kindness’ and a couple of good ones to help this troubled world.
So here’s the link again: https://www.goodreads.com/author_blog...
This book gives you a glimpse of what lies beyond... (or does it?)
“The pacing is great. The dialog is great. The sense of place is … phenomenal.”
“…you’ll love watching Chester’s world slowly unravel.”
“I realised just how clever the plot is”
“His yearning for Kate was also intriguing; what had happened between them, would they be reunited?”
“…the storytelling is so skilled that the layers of meaning are revealed and understood in good time, and to powerful effect. A compelling novel that I didn’t want to put down, this is a highly-recommended read.”
All the above are Goodreads’ reviewers and are obviously intelligent, kind, wonderful people! I promise I am not related!
