Shannon sighed, "I'll just trust Jordan. Let's go to the cottage." She started the engine and pulled out of the gas station. She just wanted to put Mr. Matthews where he belonged, in jail.

Jordan sped through the streets and reached the Institution in no time. It was the mansion he'd called home since he was eight when his parents were both killed in a plane crash. He shook his head to get rid of those thoughts. he hadn't thought about his parents in years and this was not the time to start. He had to help Shawn, but not for him, for Shannon.
He walked through the halls until he reached the place that snake James had locked Shawn up in.
"Mr. Matthews has requested to see Shawn." He told the man guarding the door. Without waiting for an answer he opened the door and roughly grabbed Shawn by the arm.
"What the-" Shawn started to saw but Jordan shushed him.
"Don't talk until Mr. Matthews tells you to." He said and hauled Shawn down the hall.

Shannon glanced at Ben, "I hope this isn't to much to take in."
"Why don't we just forget all that stuff for a minute and just talk," Shannon suggested. She wanted to get to know Ben, and this might be the perfect time.
"What do you like to do?" Shannon asked shrugging.

((Lav, is it still the same day?))

"Um...I like to play guitar. And read. You?"
((Sorry, I've had family over!))
"Well, I don't really know anymore. But I used to dance." Shannon said realizing how long it had done anything that she wanted to do.
"Well, I don't really know anymore. But I used to dance." Shannon said realizing how long it had done anything that she wanted to do.
"Yeah, I did a little of everything, but my favorite was ballet," Shannon shrugged. She suddenly wished she could go back to her old studio and put on some point shoes. "When this is all over, the fist thing I'm going to do is dance."
"Have you ever played your guitar anywhere?" Shannon asked turning the conversation back to him. She almost felt strange talking about herself since she'd spent the last couple of years being something Mr. Matthews was forcing her to be.
"Like in a cafe or at a gig," Shannon clarified as she kept her eyes on the road.
"Where? Do you sing too?" Shannon asked genuinely interested. She wished she could hear him play.
"That's really cool. I wish we had a guitar." Shannon said smiling as she wondered if he really did sing, just didn't think he could.
Once the Jordan knew he and Shawn were out of earshot he stopped and pulled Shawn aside. "You know this has nothing to do with you. I'm helping you for her."
Shawn smirked at his older brother, "Oh really. And you think she'll think differently of you because of it."
"Yes, I do," Jordan said remembering the way Shannon had held him earlier. He didn't want to make something out of what wasn't there. But he knew Shannon had to feel something for him.
"You just keep on believing that," Shawn shrugged as her started down the hall. Sometimes his brother just fantasized too much And that was all that it was, a fantasy. There was no way that Shannon would ever go for someone like Jordan.
"Don't you walk away from me little brother. You still have a lot to learn about things like this." Jordan put a hand on Shawn's shoulder and stopped him.
"You don't get it do you?" Shawn asked turning to face his brother. "She doesn't want anything to do with this place and that means you." He said plainly looking straight into his brothers eyes. That's why I'm leaving, he thought to himself.
"This won't be the last you hear from me." Jordan said, his jaw clenched. "And don't expect me to save you butt again." He turned around and walked back to his room, planning every possible way he could make Shawn's life miserable. Jordan had noticed how Shawn had left himself out of his statement. Shawn was trying to keep Shannon all to himself and Jordan wasn't going to stand for it.
Shawn climbed into his car and raced toward the cottage he and Shannon had planned on meeting at. He wasn't at all fazed at Jordan's threat. He could take whatever Jordan would throw at him and he'd have Shannon too, Shawn thought smugly as he drove down the empty highway.

"Yeah, I'd love to hear you play!" Shannon smiled glancing at Ben. She was really glad that she had company and that it was him.
"When I can," Shannon said and shrugged again. She hadn't been able to listen to music much lately, but she loved it.
"Everything basically, but you can't beat the Beatles," Shannon laughed at her alliteration.
"And what do you think is good music?" She asked and could imagine herself putting her hands on her hips as she said it. If only she wasn't driving.

"Whatever," Shannon said laughing again and shaking her head. "I would have said classical."
"Since I'm a ballerina?" Shannon asked, trying to sound sassy about it, but failing because it was true.
Shannon rolled her eyes, but then stared intently at the right side of the highway. "Any moment now," She muttered and slowed down. A dirt road appeared almost out of nowhere and would have been easily passed if someone hadn't been looking for it. "Here we are, well almost." She said as she turned, they still had a while to drive to get to the cottage.
"Don't you have a little sister?" Shannon asked.
"What's she like?" Shannon asked, genuinely interested.
"That's it?" Shannon asked shaking her head. "How old is she? Does she look like you?"
"That's too bad," Shannon said referring to Ben's looks. "Ahh, the big thirteen, finally a teenager." She said quickly a little embarrassed at what she had said aloud before.
"That she's a teenager?" Shannon said slowly, not really knowing what he was referring to. Actually she did know what he was referring to, she just didn't want to explain what she had said.
"Oh, I just, uh, think it's cute when siblings look alike," Shannon stumbled out. It sounded like a pretty good explanation to her.
