He stopped in his tracks. "Wait." Then, he turned and ran to his locker.

She waited.

Matt came back with his camera. "Okay, let's go."

She tried not to gape at his camera or spazz out and murder him so she could steal it away from him. "Kay."

[Julian]

((Hehehehe.)) Matt walked out the door.

[Elliott]

She walked outside too and grinned at the sense of weight that was lifted as soon as she hit the fresh air.

[Julian]

((Hm. I wonder if being outside would feel safer than inside to a thanatophobic...))

[Elliott]

((It probably just depends on the person.))

[Julian]

((What do you think for Matt?))

[Elliott]

((I think... since he counts ways outside would probably be worse? Maybe.))

((Hm. There's no buildings to collapse on you, and you'd be less of a target of a terrorist attack if you were just standing outside, and if the building-- he'd feel safer outside.))

Matt relaxed a little as soon as they stepped outside.

((In a flash flood, would you be safer inside or out?))

((That is quite true. I think you'd just be safer the higher you were. Like, if you're on a hill you'd be safer than a basement, but you'd be safer on a second story than in the middle of a street.))

"I love it here," Abby admitted.. "So many people, but none of them care about anyone else."

He nodded. "So where'd you move from?"

[Elliott]

"A suburb in Missouri," Abby said, making a face.

[Julian]

((Hehe. My daddy doesn't let me live there because we'd be dodging tornadoes and bullets. xD))

"And you didn't like it?"

[Elliott]

((Pssh. There's only a tornado watch once a month. Ish. Sometimes there's one everyday for a week, but that's a rare occurance. Pssh. The bullets were old news. LIVE THERE.))

"The people there were noooot the nicest people in the world."

[Julian]

((Hahahaha. I wish I could.))

He frowned. "I'm sorry."

[Elliott]

She shrugged. "Do you like it here?"

[Julian]

He shrugged. "S'not bad."

[Elliott]

Abby nodded. As they were walking down the sidewalk she saw a music store that looked sort of cool. "Have you ever been there?" she gestured to the store window.

[Julian]

He nodded. "A couple times. Why?"

[Elliott]

"It just looks cool," she said. "Is it?"

[Julian]

He nodded.

[Elliott]

She walked towards it, leaving the sidewalk to open the door.

[Julian]

He went after her.

[Elliott]

She saw a Relient K CD and ran over to it. It had a blue cover with a panda and she'd never seen it before. She could've sworn she had every album they'd ever made.

[Julian]

He watched her.

[Elliott]

"Okay, I am so coming back here when I actually have money," she said, mostly to herself.

[Julian]

He'd already been through anything interesting in the store.

[Elliott]

She glanced at the band shirts on the wall. People who wore band shirts annoyed her. It was like they were trying to tell everyone, "Oh yeah, I listen to cool music. What do you listen to, loser?"

[Julian]

((*laughs*))

((Dude. Ben should totally work here.))

[Elliott]

((I adore Abby. But I still want band shirts. xD))

((YEAH. HE SHOULD. Do it.))

[Julian]

((Yush.))

Ben saw Abby. With a boy.

[Elliott]

"Okay, so how do you feel about band shirts?" Abby turned to ask Matt. This was an important question.

[Julian]

He shrugged. "I don't really have an opinion on them."

[Elliott]

"That works," Abby said. Then she got a little bit concerned. "How do you feel about music?"

[Julian]

"What do you mean?"

((Good.))

Ben wondered what the boy was doing.

[Elliott]

"Do you have an opinion on it?"

[Julian]

He nodded. "But doesn't everyone?"

[Elliott]

"It depends on what you consider an opinion, I guess."

[Julian]

"What do you mean?"

[Elliott]

"I used to say I loved music. But all I ever listened to was what my brother used to listen to. I didn't really have my own opinion. You know?"

[Julian]

"Yeah. Then I guess I do."

[Elliott]

"That's good," Abby nodded.

[Julian]

"Yeah. Do you?"

[Elliott]

"Yep," Abby said. "Relient K and Adam Young and occasionally I'll listen to something else if I like it enough."

[Julian]

He grinned. "Cool."

[Elliott]

"What about you?"

[Julian]

"Uh...I love Dispatch."

[Elliott]

"Never heard of them."
