[Julian]

"So...are you any better or is it still going on?"

[Elliott]

Abby didn't reply. She grabbed onto a locker handle so she wouldn't fall as her knees buckled.

[Julian]

Matt frowned and offered her a hand if she needed it.

[Elliott]

Abby didn't take his hand. She closed her eyes and quickly counted to ten and then recounted to ten. "English class," she said quietly.

[Julian]

Matt nodded and led the way.

[Elliott]

Abby tried to say thanks, but it stuck in her throat.

[Julian]

Matt stopped her. "Are you sure you can go in?"

[Elliott]

"Um," Abby glanced in the window at all the kids.

[Julian]

Matt pulled her to another quiet hallways. "Just breathe."

[Elliott]

Abby kept concentrating on her breathing and tried to ignore the feeling that the walls were closing in on her. "See?" she said through her breathing. "Completely... irrat..ional."

[Julian]

"It's not." He laughed, "I'm pretty sure my phobia beats yours."

[Elliott]

She looked at him, questioningly.

((I do not care if that is not a word. That is all.))

[Julian]

"Thanatophobia."

((IT'S NOT A WORD?))

[Elliott]

Abby nodded even though she had no clue what it was.

((I dunno, is it?))

[Julian]

He grinned. "You don't know what that is? Good."

((I think it is.))

[Elliott]

"I dislike you," Abby said, but she couldn't keep herself from smiling back.

[Julian]

"I know," he said, almost bitterly.

((Did you know that thanatophobia can develop into OCD or hypochondriasis?))

[Elliott]

"Don't take it personally though," Abby said.

((No, I didn't. That's horrible. Is that going to happen to Matt?))

[Julian]

He shrugged.

((I don't want it to, but it's inevitable. :/))

[Elliott]

I can... talk to you. Abby frowned, slightly.

((Maah. D:))

[Julian]

"So, how are you feeling?"

((Grawr.))

[Elliott]

"Better," Abby said. "I can go into class now."

[Julian]

"Okay."

[Elliott]

"Thanks," Abby said and walked into the classroom.

[Julian]

"Yep." He walked in after her.

[Elliott]

Abby sat down at an empty desk in the middle of the room. This time the teacher didn't even notice her walking in.

[Julian]

Matt sat in the back again, and started counting.

[Elliott]

Abby pretended everyone was a My Little Pony. She didn't get much out of the lesson.

[Julian]

Matt didn't either. He was still counting.

((Apparently he copes by counting all the ways you could die in a room/situation/etc.))

[Elliott]

Abby finally put her head on her desk and pretended she wasn't there at all.

((That is brilliant.))

[Julian]

Matt looked at Abby, and started counting for her. When he was done with that, he moved on to the teacher.

((I know, right? Smart boy.))

[Elliott]

Abby fell asleep.

[Julian]

Matt started shaking. He closed his eyes and counted his breaths.

[Elliott]

Abby woke up because you can't do anything in a Roleplay when your character is sleeping. Then she noticed Matt sitting a couple rows away. He appeared to be freaking out.

[Julian]

Matt was--in fact--freaking out.

[Elliott]

She wasn't sure if she should do something. He'd helped her but she had no clue what to do and there were so many people and if she wanted to talk to him, she'd have to get up and then everyone would look at her and it wouldn't be good at all.

[Julian]

Matt had to get out. There were way too many ways in here. He just stood up and left.

[Elliott]

Abby watched him leave and a mental battle started inside her head.

[Julian]

((Hm...where would be a safe place?))

[Elliott]

((Nowhere, really. But, maybe an empty closet or something?))

[Julian]

((Bomb shelter? xD))

[Elliott]

((Yeah, because very school has one of those!))

[Julian]

((EXACTLY. xD Let's say it was built in the 40's.))

[Elliott]

((That works. :3))

[Julian]

Matt went to the bomb shelter, where--even if he got locked in and eventually starved and suffocated--the roof was less likely to collapse on him and he'd be slightly safer if the Russians/Koreans decided to attack. Sort of.

[Elliott]

((*snorts*))

Abby decided she'd better not get up and make a scene, but as soon as the bell rang, she bolted.

[Julian]

((Don't laugh at poor Matty.))

Matt continued counting. The lack of windows decreased the number quite a bit.

[Elliott]

((I'm sorry. He's just adorable in a really sad way.))

She scanned the halls for him but she couldn't find him.

[Julian]

((I know, right? It's driving Hayden insane, because he's really pissy, but Matt's so adorable that he can't get annoyed at him.))

Matt continued counting.

((He's also into photography because through the lens it's harder for him to notice all the ways.))

[Elliott]

((Awh. That's actually quite funny.))

Abby groaned and made herself breathe again. She really didn't like school.
