Emma | 35 comments Hello, m'names Emma and I'm 15

My goodreads account right now mostly consists of middlegrade/childrens novels that I don't remember reading; I made this account when I was 11.

I'm working on gradually weeding through and deleting them all, but it's a big process, and I worry that my shelves will feel so empty without them!

So the solution is to fill them up again with new books!

Some reading background: I loved The Night Circus and I'll Give You the Sun but disliked If I Stay and The DUFF.

Any recommendations for me? I am open to classics :)

I feel you. I hated a lot of YA contemporary I read last year and earlier this year.

Looking at the books you mentioned, these are a few I think you might enjoy:
Asylum
The Raven Boys
The 5th Wave

And as for classics, I've hated most of the ones I've read, but I really enjoyed these few:
Ordinary People
The Outsiders
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

Hope this helps. :D

Sharni (sharnibee) | 64 comments Seems kinda sad to delete your reading history. You might find it cool to look back on, one day.

I'd recommend Obernewtyn by Isobelle Carmody it's a series - last book is coming out this year.

Anything at all by Diana Wynne Jones

And, (my favourite book of the year) Uprooted

Think of all the requests we could have solved if everyone had a middle-school goodreads account!
