In that light it does look too dark.

Kim I'm going to say no to that one because I can't see the top at all. It looks warm and colourful on the bottom half but those dresses were often worn off the shoulder.

I am having problems replying to your posts but I've managed to get this one working so I'll respond to both here.

Post 1.

All fine apart from Arabella by Georgette Heyer as the dress has virtually no colour.

The Sea Change by Joanna Rossiter could also be used as #1

Post 2.
All fine apart from Good Behaviour by Molly Keane
as the dress is sleeveless and Before Midnight A Retelling of "Cinderella" (Once Upon a Time) by Cameron Dokey which doesn't have enough bright colour.

Beauty Sleep A Retelling of "Sleeping Beauty" (Once Upon a Time) by Cameron Dokey could also be used for #1 as there is is some sunlight on her.

I'll allow the first one. I can't see any sunlight on him directly because I'm only seeing his back but by looking at the sunlight on the bench around him he must have it on his face and body; so it fits the meaning of the challenge. Make sure you reference this if you post.

Option 2. is fine.

The first two are ok for clothing colour but Kalahari won't work for sun worship. The woman is in shadow.

Sorry Cait, white isn't a 'colour' and is specifically mentioned as not being allowed.

I had a good look at the picture but because the blue top is unzipped and exposing so much of the white t-shirt beneath I can't accept this as 50%.

Normally a sari is fine as they often have a cloth draped over, but in this case it looks transparent. So, no. Sorry about that.

Oh I see, sorry I misread your post.

No, the first cover doesn't look like it's actually outside in the sunshine. The light on their bodies and the shadows aren't right. It looks more like they are inside on a background that has been made to look like sand. Her foot for example should be digging into the sand if it was actually real. But, regardless, the light just isn't bright enough.

There's blue sky with sparkling water and they are clearly outside but I can't see any sunlight on them. However, as they aren't undercover and as I can see the sky and the sunlight around them, I will accept it.

Both of those don't quite make it.

For the first one the gumboots are lovely and bright but shoes don't count as 'clothes' and although the blue jeans would be considered 50% they are covered over at the top by the coat.

For the second, again it's a lovely pink top but it's unbuttoned and she is wearing a white top underneath. As I can't see what she's wearing on the bottom I can't tell if it would be 50% or not.

Tara | 391 comments Thanks...can you clarify if the SUN isn't bright enough, or the surrounding sky isn't bright enough? I'm guessing you mean the sky, but just want to confirm as the brightness of the sun seems more than on some others that were approved. Just trying to make sure what I need to look for more.

Thanks for clarifying.
