will not work for option 3 of task 20.7. The task description specifically states: the iris has to be visible. I believe it will work for option 2, though. Please repost this task if you choose to use that option.
Jonquil - post 741Task 20.2 requires that for a storyline including a romance, the Goodreads description or reviews must include something indicating a romance, OR, a main page genre of Romance must be listed. I don't see anything in the GRs description or the first several reviews that mentions a romance. Please repost this task including a link to a review that does so.
Didi3023 - post 750
will not work for task 10.5. The task states: "at least two pairs of letters need to be connected". As far as I can tell, the only letters that are linked are the e and r in Concerto.

Goodreads Author tickets will no longer be awarded. They have been replaced with:
20.4 GOLDEN OLDIES - Players may earn a ticket for each book FIRST published in or before 1950. A random ticket will be drawn from the ticket pool to determine who creates this task. Challenge finishers are not eligible for the drawing. Players must specifically request a ticket in the post by claiming "Golden Oldie" and stating the original publication year. Ceelee - post 794Sorry, Category 7 won't work for 5.1. The task specifically requires a book that includes a natural disaster, not a man-made one. The description of Category 7 states: "Except that Simone isn't natural. She's the product of rogue weather science being wielded by billionaire Carter Thompson as part of a personal vendetta against US President Winslow Benson."
Marina H - post 810Frost og aske and Nattergalens død won't work for task 25.9. The task description says: "The letters in HIP MUST appear in the title (not subtitle or series title) of each book." Neither book has the letters H I P in the title.

Sorry, forgot that part when I was looking at the list. I used that book for another task and will switch some to reads around for this one.

Gayla - post 930Sorry, but the Goodreads record, which is what we always go by, says The Moor's Account was Published September 9th 2014 by Pantheon (first published January 1st 2014), which is before Sept 2014. You can use this book for book 1 of the two book option, but it won't work for the one book option.

Kristina, I suspect that the first published date for this book is in error. I cannot find anything to show that the book was published prior to 9/9/14. January 1st is often a default date when no date is entered.

I think Bea's right that it's an error, but it is easy for me to switch a couple of books so I will just do that and repost.

Amazon has it that the hardcover edition was published on September 9, 2014. Wikipedia has that date also. World Cat only states 2014, but this seems to be the correct date. I'll edit the Goodreads entry
Thanks, Pia. Bea, Gayla (and others) - we use the GRs record to keep us (the moderators) from going insane. With so many tasks/books to validate, we can't research each case, at least not without giving up reading ourselves. But if you ever find an obvious mistake in the records, you can always get a GRs librarian (like Pia) to correct the record for you. We even have a thread set up for that purpose: anyone with librarian status.... If you ask and get things corrected before posting, you can even stay out of this thread. ;-)
Gayla -- Since Pia's fixed the record for this book, if you want to use it for this task, you can. You just need to repost it so I can pick it up as I go through the completed task posts.

SCHATZIE - post 986Madame Tussaud: A Novel of the French Revolution won't work for task 30.6, option 1. That option requires that the letters ME be found in the author's name, not the title. Michelle Moran does not include the required sequential letters.
Lynalicious - post 998Task 15.9 requires that the name of the animal totem be found on the list linked in the task description. Blood on Copperhead Trail will not work. Copperhead is a type of snake, but copperhead is not on the list. If you want to use the animal totem snake, the word "snake" must be found in the title of the book.
