Trisha | 30284 comments Duration: September 15th to October 15th
Sign up will be open until: Sept 15th
Partners will be picked on: Sept 15th

Guidelines for this challenge
1. Sign up ahead of time so we can create pairs
2. Create a "shelf" for your partner to choose from before the challenge begins
3. You choose 3 books from your partner's shelf for your partner to read. Let your partner know why you pick those books for him/her.
4. Your partner picks three books from your shelf for you to read. You don't have to read all 3, one should be enough for you to complete this challenge.
5. After you read your book come back and post to let your partner know when you are done and what you thought of the book (no pressure, it can be just one sentence)

If you have questions, please post them HERE

Please sign up below and post a link to your shelf for your partner to choose from!

Linsey Hi everyone,
I wanted to participate in this challenge, but I have so much other books to read that I am not going to commit to anymore challenges until I get caught up on the books that I have yet to read. I am sorry for the inconvenience I will try to participate next time. Good luck to everyone participating.

You can always make a shelf with those "must read" books and we can help pick one for you to read :)

But I totally understand if you can't take another challenge! :) I hope you tackle those books this month!

Sabrina | 9 comments Hi there I am new to this group. This sounds like a very fun challenge to do! If I am not too late I would love to join. I did some snooping around and noticed everyone's shelf was called pick-me-a-winner so I named it that. If I did anything wrong with the name or something else just tell me. Thank you!

@ Sabrina! Welcome to the group and challenge! Your profile is set to private so I couldn't see the shelf, but as long as you accept the friend request when your partner sends it (or you can request friends first), you should be all good :)

just 3 more day!!

Lyd's Archive (7/'15 to 6/'18) (violabelcik) I'm in. My shelf is HERE
These are some of my favorite, most highly recommended books, mostly about Russia, that I really think more people should know. It seems like Tsarina is the most common YA book about the Russian royal family and I hope at least some other person will find a more historically accurate alternative.

You've already rated those books. You speak of them very highly, so I'm sure you wouldn't mind reading them again, but most people choose books they haven't read yet for this challenge, because somebody will choose books for you to read from your list.

Oh, I thought that this was recommending for a partner, never mind. I will change the shelf.
Here is the new for-challenge shelf:

My opinions in my earlier post are the same.

message 44: by Raven (last edited Sep 15, 2015 11:59AM) (new)

Raven | 172 comments My partner is Neurotic_Princess_Maria and I pick

1. Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer
because I've always been interested in the series.

2. The Queen of Spades by Alexander Pushkin
because you said that you really liked obscure Russian Royal family novels.

3. The Reluctant Heiress by Eva Ibbotson
because who doesn't like Georgette Heyer type novels right?

I hope one of these is a winner for you :)

message 45: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments My Partner is Casey

and for you I choose:

1. Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer
because I dug through your 5 star rated books and you seem to like paranormal. This is a very loved book and I think you might like it too!

2. A Darker Shade of Magic (A Darker Shade of Magic, #1) by V.E. Schwab
because I have seen some amazing reviews on this one and I hope that means it's good and you will love it :)

3. Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
because I absolutely loved this one and I hope that means you will too.

I hope whichever one you pick is a winner!!

message 46: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 63 comments For Sabrina I choose

1. Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1) by Kristin Cashore
I have been wavering on whether or not to read this series. And I'm curious about what you think of it.

2. The Selection (The Selection, #1) by Kiera Cass
Its an extremely popular series and I have read the first three books in the series. And I would love to compare thoughts on the book if you finish it.

3. Of Triton (The Syrena Legacy, #2) by Anna Banks
I read the synopsis for the first book in the series and I have to admit the series looks pretty interesting.

message 47: by Justyna (new)

Justyna (blaire88) | 74 comments My partner is Leah. Actually I have not read any of the books she has on her shelf, but there were a few that seemed really interesting and are now on my TBR list as well.
I chose

1. Infinite in Between by Carolyn Mackler
Because it's compared to The Breakfast Club and that is one great movie.

2. Clockwise (Clockwise, #1) by Elle Strauss
because it was not the only book on your shelf about time travel. I love time travel books myself, if you haven't read it yet, I recommend The Ruby Red Trilogy.

3. Queen of Someday (Stolen Empire, #1) by Sherry D. Ficklin
because there was a contemporary novel, a fantasy novel, so it's historical fiction time now. I find Russian history fascinating so it's on my TBR list now as well.

message 48: by Becky (new)

Becky (booklovingcoffeeaddict) | 4889 comments My Partner is Vicki and I chose for her:

1. Ruin (Ruin, #1) by Rachel Van Dyken
Because it's one of the only ones we BOTH have shelved and I like the cover

2. Deceived (Soul Keeper, #1) by L.A. Starkey
Because it sounds REALLY interesting

3. White Hot Kiss (The Dark Elements, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Because Jennifer Armentrout rocks major.

message 49: by Casey (new)

Casey Oelofse | 55 comments my partner is TRISHA and for you I have chosen:

Firewalker (Worldwalker, #2) by Josephine Angelini
I read your review of Trial by Fire and saw how much you loved it.. hopefully the second one is just as good!!

The Rules by Nancy Holder
from the synopsis this book sounds very interesting! I will defs be adding this to my to read shelf as well..

Married with Zombies (Living with the Dead, #1) by Jesse Petersen
just for some fun and zombies:) this book sounds hilarious and has received some good reviews..

happy reading
