#5 Readathon: Let's Chat
Haha awesome!! I am about making a list of all the books I am planning to read. I am going to be reading books from my Overdrive Media App (Library ebook & audio) I am so excited!
Hello all, still deciding on if I should enter or not. Though Jacquelyn has made some convincing arguments why I should enter. :)

Well I will let you know some time the coming week. Got to check if I have time and such. :) And of course if I feel like entering such a week long challenge/read a thon.
Of course! I do have school the week of the readathon but have early dismissals three of the days. I also have no plans for the weekend other than read, read, read!
Oh congrats on the early dismissals. :) And oh, that sounds like a paradise. A weekend full with books and books and more books. :)
I've never done one before, so I guess I want to finish a book every two days (school)and at least one book per day during the weekend.
Kathryn wrote: "I want to read a book a day :)"That sounds like a great goal! Especially how fast you read. ;D
Sarah wrote: "I've never done one before, so I guess I want to finish a book every two days (school)and at least one book per day during the weekend."That also seems like a very reasonable goal! The last week long readathon I read 922 pages but didn't read anything on the last day of the readathon. So this time around I want to read much more than 922!
Quick question - Do the points count for every book we read or the total amount of pages we read in total of the week?
I read 1941 pages in the last readathon but I had to work most of that week. Since I have the whole week off for this readathon I think I will aim for 2500 pages and hopefully at least 8 books.

Guys, I'm just curious, how many books you all read during readathon? I am planning my goal (because it's first time) to be 3 books, but I will try to do 5. Again, maybe I will surprise myself and do more than 5. XD

There were a few books I wasn't all so interested in and I read nothing on the last day. So I am hoping to read more than 922 pages. I don't set myself how many books I read, I like to set myself a page number. (: And even if your goal is 3 or 5 or whatever you end up making it make sure you have a big list of books you can choose from because you never know what you will feel like reading when the readathon rolls around!
Gisbelle wrote: "Last time I read 19 books (4 of them were manga), in total about 4,527 pages."WOW!!! 19 books in one week? That's almost 3 books a day. I bow down to you! That's awesome!!!
Vic, thanks :) At that time, I read several middle grade books, so I could finish them fast. And for a 200 pages manga, I think everyone can finish it in less than 2 hours :) I'm not going to read any manga this time, so I think it's not possible for me to read more than 7 or 8 books. 24th is my mom's birthday, so I don't think I'll be able to read much on that day.
7 or 8 books?! Wow! Awesome goal! Happy birthday to your mom! My wonderful mom just got me a $50 gift card to Barnes & Noble! I am going to go tomorrow and pick out some books that I will hopefully read during the readathon!
Well good luck! I know you can do it! It all depends on what books they have. (: I try to buy paperbacks so I can buy more books but I guess I will buy one hardback if I really want the book.

Hardbacks are prettier. :/
They are and I wish I could get them all the time but I'd rather buy paperbacks because the price is lower and I don't have too much money.

I will keep this open even though we haven't started the readathon so we can talk about the books we may want to read during the week of the readathon or to get excited and pumped for the readathon!
Have fun!
