Gisbelle | 25787 comments That series would be my choice too if I buy hardcovers.

message 52: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments I just might invest in them. I only have book 1 in ebook and didn't purchase. I'll wait till B&N has a 25% teacher discount week! :o)

message 53: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments :) Great. I have book 1 & 2 in paperbacks and book 3 in ebook.

message 54: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments I like to TRY to keep the sets I have in the same format, but I have a hard time now. I tend to go with cheapest. LOL

message 55: by Angela (new)

Angela | 17461 comments I wanted the Lunar Chronicles in all hardback but I don't have enough money. I have a paperback ARC of Cinder, missing Scarlet, and a hardcover of Cress. It doesn't look right on my shelf. :(

message 56: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments Aweeeeeeeee, Angela, I know exactly what you mean! :o( You feel like you don't have the missing pieces to the puzzle and the picture isn't complete. Maybe you'll get the set for a birthday or Christmas gift.

message 57: by Angela (new)

Angela | 17461 comments YES! Haha, maybe. My parents already think that I have too many books. I'll buy it myself when I have enough money. :D

message 58: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments Let me know when you do!

message 59: by Angela (new)

Angela | 17461 comments Okay!

message 60: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Less than a week to go before the readathon starts! YAY!

message 61: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments Jacquelyn, I was thinking that it would be really fun if we had a mini scavenger hunt for the readathon....

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Mandiann wrote: "Jacquelyn, I was thinking that it would be really fun if we had a mini scavenger hunt for the readathon...."

Ooh! So you mean kind of like a list of words to try and find like our regular long scavenger hunts but there is less words and only a week duration?

message 63: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments So my goal is to finish Bitter Melon by Cara Chow Uninvited (Uninvited, #1) by Sophie Jordan before the readathon so I can start it off with fresh, new books!

message 64: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments My goal is the same as yours, to start fresh and new but I need to finish Into the Still Blue (Under the Never Sky, #3) by Veronica Rossi The Madness Underneath (Shades of London, #2) by Maureen Johnson Prodigy (Legend, #2) by Marie Lu The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides Withering Tights (Misadventures of Tallulah Casey, #1) by Louise Rennison in order to. Good thing I don't work this week!!

Yes, that is exactly what I mean, a much smaller list, like perhaps 10 words to find during the readthon week.

message 66: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Good luck! Having no work definitely helps! I have school the remainder of this week and work tomorrow night but other than that I am free!

message 67: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Should the 10 words be one category? If so, I think we should do a book category! :D

message 68: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments That would be fun.

message 69: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Alright! I will come up with 10 book related words and post it soon! Thanks for the suggestion! I think it is awesome!

message 70: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments Sweet! Sounds great. And I loved the book poetry challenge during the last week long one, that was super great. It was wonderful to read what everyone else came up with.

message 71: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Alright, that is done and posted! And I loved that too! I think we will do that next time around since we already have points and the hunt. Just don't want it to get too crammed. (:

message 72: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments I can't wait! It is going to be so much fun!

message 73: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments I know! I am starting to plan out some books I want to read during the marathon! AHH. I love picking out the books I am going to read!

message 74: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments I have picked and then changed my pile about 4 times already. I might still change it again.

message 75: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments That's what I usually do. I am kind of wanting to read a lot of dystopian/mystery books lately so I had to change my pile quite a bit!

message 76: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments I keep changing it based on due dates and challenges. I picked up 6 manga from the library the other day that I will probably add to my pile.

What do you have in your pile so far?

message 77: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Enjoy the manga!

I really want to read The Scorch Trials (Maze Runner, #2) by James Dashner Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas The F- It List by Julie Halpern Until It Hurts to Stop by Jennifer R. Hubbard Dirty Little Secret by Jennifer Echols but this probably will change because I will be going to the library again before the readathon starts and I have a gift card to the bookstore I will be using to buy more books! :) What is in your pile as of now?

message 78: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments Nice pile! I will post mine in a bit. I am not on my computer at the moment.

message 79: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Thanks! I hope I enjoy all of them! Enjoying your books during readathons can help quite a bit.

Awesome! I am excited to see.

message 80: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments Here are the books I plan to read for sure:

Reached (Matched, #3) by Ally Condie Where She Went (If I Stay, #2) by Gayle Forman Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor Flat-Out Love (Flat-Out Love, #1) by Jessica Park Plastic Hearts (Hearts, #1) by Lisa De Jong Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2) by J.K. Rowling

I also have a pile of Mangas and Novellas and a few other books I might read if I have time.

message 81: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 1726 comments I have a big pile of books I'm gonna choose from, and I'll probably even choose different ones :D

Ooh! Seems like you have some good books ahead of you! I might try and find some shorter books or maybe some novellas as well.

message 89: by Miodrag ★❥ (new)

Miodrag ★❥ | 889 comments I can't wait for readathon, I changed my list and I think I will change that list again ... I always find book that I want to read more than some on that list, but I'm trying to add there 10-15 books then when Monday comes I will have more books to choose from. I plan to read 5-6 books (maybeee 7), but almost all books that I'm reading have from 200+ to 500 pages. XD
Ohh, this just got on my mind, are those extra books (like 0.1 , 0.5, 1.5) counting like other books or not?

message 90: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

I would say that novellas can count as PAGE points but nothing else. So if you read a novella and it was 37 pages you would get one point. The point thread where you post your points will be up on Sunday with a format for posting points and such. (:

message 91: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments I think that makes sense, Jacquelyn. What about mangas?

message 92: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Well we just changed it. Novellas and prequels (.5, 1.5) will be worth one point plus any page points!

I'm not sure about manga. I will ask Gis what she thinks.

message 93: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi Well I just signed up. :) I probably won't make a list for now, since my mood for books changes daily and I don't want to be stuck to a list. I will of course update my list through the week. :)

Yeah, it took me a bit longer than a week to decide, but today I decided that now was the time to sign up and just go with it. :) After all it sounds so much fun. Thanks! The same to you, happy reading!

message 100: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments Yay! I have stopped by my library three times this week to pick up books for the readathon. Can't wait! I am slowly picking away at my currently reading so I can start with a clean plate.
