@Tracy: Welcome and so glad to hear you're reading again and yes, LoL the battle of conquering the TBR pile! As they say, so many books, such little time...

Hello there, new member here. I used to read a lot when I was a kid but then I lost interest. This december I bought a kindle and I rekindled (pun intended) my passion for reading thanks to the "A song of ice and fire" series. I love a good horror movie or video game so I decided to enter the group since I'm quite ignorant on the topic of horror books. Also excuse any grammatical error, english is my second language.
Hello, Vittorio, and welcome to HA.If you liked George R.R. Martin's series, you might enjoy a vampire novel he wrote back in the day: Fevre Dream

Aww welcome friend, nice that you're back in the world of books, even if you leave it for a while or years it will always be waiting for you when you're in the mood to read again :)
Love your name, reminds me of one of my fave Anne Rice books :D

@Vittorio: Welcome and love that you rekindled (I see what you did there!) that love of reading, awesome! You found a great group, we got tons of horror right at your fingertips :-)
Hey everyone,I am excited to see how active this group is! Ive been looking for something like this for awhile (I didn’t realize goodreads had this sort of thing until recently). I was in a discord group for horror but it just wasn’t going anywhere. I’m in my mid 30’s and really didn’t get into horror until a few years ago. I’ve been working my way through all the vintage horror classics of the 80s this last year ( a lot of Stephen King of course) but enjoy finding lesser known stuff. I also enjoy writing too :)
@Domino: Welcome and for sure! Easily the most active horror group on all of Goodreads! One can't ever go wrong with the King of horror himself, looking forward to future discussions with you :-)
Welcome to HA, Domino! We try to find newer authors, as well as appreciate the "classics". There are discussions and group/buddy reads for all kinds!
Realized I never introduced myself! Hey everyone!I'm new to GoodReads and this group, so I'm really excited to join the group reads this month! I love all things horror (80s and slashers are my faves), and I'm trying to get back into reading like I used to, so this seemed like the perfect place!
@Cay: Welcome and enjoy! You picked the perfect place for sure and am excited for future discussions with you :-)
Greetings all! Gerri R. Gray here. I'm a horror writer from upstate New York. I have a twisted sense of humor, which sometimes gets me into trouble.
Stephanie wrote: "Welcome! Anyone up for a chat? Add me and lets talk books ^_^"Always up for chats about books.

It's nice to meet another Horror author from Upstate NY.. aka the "unknown area of NY. You tell anyone that you live in NY... immediately the next response is.. "You live in NYC?"

Hi, I'm Steven Rigolosi (usually known as "Steve"), longtime horror fan and new horror author, with my recently published traditional haunted-house story, THE HAUNTING OF KINNAWE HOUSE. I live in North Jersey, and one thing I've learned in just the past few months is how relatively limited my understanding of horror is. I always thought of the genre as "ghosts" and "monsters," but reading blogs, comments, reviews, etc., has made me realize that there are many subgenres of which I was unaware, and which I'm looking forward to learning more about. I see all the new, smaller publishers on Twitter, and it makes me realize that they are the home for the edgier writers who think and write beyond the mass-market conception of what "horror" is. So, I am glad to be here and I'm looking forward to learning more!
Steven: Welcome and very awesome! Oh for sure, so many subgenres that I'm still discovering to this very day. Looking forward to discussing horror with you in the future :-)
