I haven't been on here in a while so I will introduce myself again. I'm Christy and I love all things horror. I rarely miss a horror on the big screen and love to read horror as well. However, I do struggle to find horror writers I like. I have never been able to read King. I have tried more than once. I like John Saul a lot but his books seem similar. When I find a book I like and then try to read multiple books by the author I don't consistantly like them. Bently Little is hit and miss. Jack Ketchum pretty good. But I find myself enjoying the writing styles of non-horror writers. Anyone have any advice for me or recommendations. Maybe I would like a female writer but I haven't seen too many. I LOVE Tamera Thorne but I have read them all.

Try author Tamara Thorne. I have loved almost every book I have read of hers.
Hi everyoneI've been a member of this group for some years and, sadly, my presence on Goodreads has been somewhat intermittent. I'm hoping to address that from now and would like this to be a re-introduction to the good people here.
I'm a huge fan of 70s/80s British Horror (Herbert, Hutson, Guy N Smith, etc). So hoping to discuss this as a topic since it has had significant influence on my tastes in horror over the past 30+ years.
So, hello to all and speak soon!
Dave
Hi! My names Cam and I’m from Indiana. Love horror just about everything, from award worthy to incredibad 😀 Looking forward to hearing some good suggestions here for my next book, movie, Con, etc.
I'm Danielle and a lover of all books; but the books that grab my attention are: horror, mystery, thrillers and comics.
Welcome Christy, Dave, Cam and Danielle. Or welcome back to the group. Either way, we are glad to have you here.
Hello, my name is Crystal. I love Horror movies but the lack of good ones lately have me searching for a good scare in books. I read a little of everything but mostly like ZOMBIE books and crime. I am hoping by joining this group I can find some good books to at least get me spooked!
Hi guys! My name is Cassi, 28 year old from NY. I am in LOVE with anything horror. Haven't found a zombie book I like yet, but I love body horror, blood and gore, serial killers and spooky ghosts. I've actually gotten into Elias Witherow, who seems to be an up and coming author who specializes in body horror and twisted themes. VERY interesting stuff. I'm a long term lover of King, and I'd love to branch out and find more authors to peek at. Any recommendations are welcome, and if you'd like to friend me please feel free!

Have you read Robert McCammon? I need to get more active on Goodreads, so I’ll send you a friend request. Feel free to suggest away to me as well, I’m always open to new authors.

And as far as a possible zombie book . . . maybe Brian Keene’s “The Rising” could do the trick. Not your typical zombies.
Hello! Long time reader of horror, and lover of GOOD horror flicks. I joined my first book group about a year ago here on Goodreads that focuses on Apocalyptic themes and have really enjoyed the conversations and the suggestions for next reads, so I went looking for another group and found all of you!
Well you are in the right place Lisa. Welcome to HA.
I'm sorta new. My name is Nicholas Dennis. I'm an aspiring horror author and a love of all things horror! Right now I'm reading Bite by Richard Laymon, but may stop reading it to read whatever you fine folks may be reading! :D

Hello everyone, I'm Allie. Been a member of Goodreads for some time now, but decided it was time to try and be active.I'm a huge horror fan...Whether it be movies (campy, gore, supernatural...anything), books, or locations. Writing is a dream of mine, but finding time has been a challenge (my excuse).
Currently, I'm on a Bentley Little kick and haven't been disappointed. Looking forward to being a part of this group!
