I can't believe it! I read the wrong group reads book! I didn't realize until I only had a chapter left and by then I had to find out how it ended! Instead of The Diviners by Margaret Laurence, I read The Diviners by Libba Bray! now I have to figure out if I can use it anywhere!

Sorry, Karen, a publication date of 1988 does not qualify for the publication option of 10.8 (1955-1987) and it does not appear to be set during the War of the Roses (1455-1487). Did you mean to list a different task?

Maybe I saw that version on the list and thought it was the same one because I even thought I could get combo points when I first started reading it. My life in air zone shows again!

20.9 - The Battle of the Wilderness:When I saw this pop up on Theresa's list as by Paul Fleischman, I knew I had to read it. His books Whirligig and Joyful Noise: Poems for Two Voices are two of my all-time favorites for young people.I listened to the book and the blend of all of the different voices and Civil War music was great!

Karen, I will be honest and say I had planned either North and South or a re-read of Gone with the Wind for this task, but I'm running out of time. This short children's novel surprised me, and I did enjoy how he used so many characters' view points to tell about the battle, which he did not glorify. The music was good, too. Well done!
