This is a great place to talk about the Good Reads Challenge that you can set on the main page. From Faye's Intro...
"When you enter a challenge on Goodreads and select a number of books to shoot for, you get your very own widget telling you how many books you've read and what percentage of your goal you have achieved so far. Depending on whether or not you're reading at a pace that will get you to your goal by the end of the year, this widget can reward you with positive feedback (Congratulations! You're # books ahead!) or pile on the guilt (Oh no! You're # books behind!).

I love the wiget. Day 1 - 0 books completed you're on track. Will probably be the only time all year I am on track. lol
Disappointed 2016 goal was 15 books I only got to 10. I'm still reading what would have been book 11. Been over a month since I've even read a page of.
Made the executive decision to make my reading challenge this year 13 books, one more than the suggested 12 Goodreads was pushing me to do.Currently my count is 1 book behind at 0/13 with 2 currently reading books one at 45% the older one at 58%
Finished my first book of the year! Yeah only it was the one I started about 10 days ago, not my 2016-17 crossover book. My widget now reads 1/13 8% ON TRACK.
Its the little things that count.
Finally Finished:Hello from Heaven: A New Field of Research-After-Death Communication Confirms That Life and Love Are Eternal
2/13 15%
1 Book Ahead (for now)
I've read 11 out of 20. 55%7 books ahead of schedule.
May need to adjust my target, was anticipating being much busier with my teaching, but I'm finding time to sit and read. Commutes are good for an audiobook too!!
Thanks to a two-semester break from college, audio books, and multiple short books on my TBR I'm 55 books ahead at the moment. That will change when fall semester hits.
Mine has always been ahead, all the years I have done it. I do think it is a little unfair when you are reading say, an over 800 page book. I think that should count for about three normal size books and not just one. Wonder if anything can be done about that?

How did I get to be 3 books behind? I have been reading multiple books and I went a while not finishing anything. Hopefully I finish everything at once and catch up.
Kathy wrote: "Right now, mine says 91/90 read. And I still have 25 days to add to it."Yay! Congratulations Kathy!
And with just over 2 weeks to go I am 3 books away from my goal. As always its going to be down the end.
Thank you! My 2016 was full of finals, dissertations and starting teacher training. So I initially only went for 20 as a target. I found more free time than anticipated clearly haha
I remember my teacher training time from aeons ago, Gareth. I needed to read for pleasure every day to stay sane and to relax.
