Finished reading Shiver which was rather disappointing and a little disturbing.
Also read Chat Love and Cinderella Screwed Me Over. Both of them were very good.

Kritika, you should definitely read Cinderella Screwed Me Over!! The protagonist has a best friend who looks very similar to her and they are often mistaken as being real siblings, just like us ;)

Kritika | 363 comments Just finished Cinderella Screwed Me Over by Cindi Madsen ★★★★½. It was quite good. Had a different take on fairytale which was refreshing. My only cross with the author was that the book did not have a nice epilogue to go with the great story. I admit I'm totally biased towards epilogues.:)

I second your opinion, Kriti. I really wanted to know if they ever have kids or not, since the heroine wasn't too keen about the idea.

message 162: by Kritika (new)

I finished I Do, I Do, I Do by Maggie Osborne which is a really sweet story involving three women who get duped into fake marriages with the same man.
Also read Son of War, Daughter of Chaos by Janette Rallison . It took me a while to get used to the MC but I was immesely surprised by how much I came to like it in the end.

message 177: by Anita Reads (new)

Anita Reads | 23 comments I just finished these 3 books:
Born in Shame (Born In Trilogy, #3) by Nora Roberts Half Bad (Half Bad, #1) by Sally Green The Waste Lands (The Dark Tower, #3) by Stephen King

All 4 star books for me. Born in Shame was the last book in a trilogy, and a great end to a good series. I was surprised by Half Bad, it was pretty unique I think. The Dark Tower series keeps getting better and better. Especially the last 150 pages or so it was hard to put it away.

Quirky Omega | 57 comments Mackenzie's MountainLinda Howard
Just finished reading it. I quite liked the story. It was becoming a little annoying to read books where the story dealt with nothing but the feelings of the characters. A fully rounded story should develop an environment around the characters.

message 179: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Hart (NatalieHart) | 9 comments A Billionaire in Black and White Part I: Contrast I read this the other night. A friend wrote it but I don't think I'm cut out for Billionaire Bondage. And while I do believe in love at first sight (or at least lust at first sight) I need some build up to back it up. This is kind of cements my views on billionaire books, but I guess it has everything you'd want if you appreciate the genre, it just isn't for me.

message 180: by CheckOutMyBooks (new)

CheckOutMyBooks | 7 comments I recently finished 'Noah' by Elizabeth Reyes and I have to say I was disappointed. It was an anticlimactic read; the beginning of the book was intriguing and seemed like it was leading to an explosive but sweet story. It was not. So disappointing because Noah had so much potential to be a wonderful book boyfriend!

message 181: by Namrata (new)

Namrata Naik | 1 comments I just finished DeadAlive
A simple yet gripping story.

Plot -
What if one day while reading a novel you feel that you know the characters in it, you are familiar with the incidents in it?

message 182: by Namrata (new)

Namrata (nampan) finished The Sweet Gum Tree by Katherine Allred .
it was sweet and had its ugly moments.

I have that on my reading list. But I'm not a fan of love triangles so I've been postponing it.
