I loved that book, and you are right it has realistic struggles, that's why I like it.

I finished Someone Else's Life by Katie Dale and it was so good!! Unbelievable really...coz I hadn't expected that much from it. But really, it's a spectacular read:)) Recommended to everyone!

Linda Rice | 22 comments Mia and Korum, the Krinar Trilogy. Liked the creativity in the story line, but Mia was way too submissive. I wanted to shake her. I like girls with more spunk. She only really stood up for herself once. The rest of the time, she just "melted" at the mere sight of Korum and his fabulous body. Geez!

I like spunky heroines too. Will have to check it out.

message 113: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Carranza (jennifercarranza) | 6 comments Today, I finished reading A Rake's Reform by Cindy Holbrook. I read historical romances extensively, but this is the first I've read of Holbrook. I am very impressed! I was enthralled and could not put this book down! It's not raunchy like some historical romance seems to be, but there is just enough tension between the main characters to keep you enraptured! I plan read some of her other novels very soon, and I hope they are just as satisfying!

Have you read The Wedding which is the follow up to The Notebook? I adored The Notebook, but it took me weeks to work my way through The Wedding! I was wondering if a big Nicholas Sparks fan felt the same way.

Sonya Heaney Ruchi wrote: "I had found it horrible..."

Offensive on many levels, too. I also find the author's road to publication extremely unethical. You can't just steal someone else's characters!

Jenn wrote: "Marked

I might look into that one. I'm a big fan of Naughton's romantic suspense (but actually don't like Kenyon!), so I think I'll probably like it. :)

message 138: by Sonya (new)

Sonya Heaney I'm finishing reading a review copy of Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon but I've read it before. You either love it or you hate it, I guess...

I know!! most of my friends loved it, but it was NOT for me. I thought that some parts were boring, didn't like the end, didn't like a lot of things. It was disappointing :(
