Xia shook her head. "No, just bring over the ipod." It was getting harder and harder to keep a calm voice. "Just a need a bit alone." She bit out a bit tightly as she raked a hand through her hair. She knew there was no way to remove the tail and ears without truely messing with her body. It was hard dealing with the past but she wished her father was here. She couldn't see him at all, death did that to people.

Piffy sighed softly before walking to the couch, after smacking Neil in the back of the head first. Neil winced. "The hell was that for?" Piffy gave him a look. "Do you even need to ask?" Neil frowned as his ears lowered, not saying anything. She grabbed the iPod before going back to the bathroom. "Here, Xia." Echo glanced up towards the bathroom before discussing what he had so far with Leon end Neil. The only reason he was up there to begin with was to work on the new song. He didn't like wasting time. He wanted to make progress even if she'd walked out.
Xia took the ipod from piffy through a crack through the door. She didn't mean to walk out, it was just too much. She popped the headphones into her ears and listened to her singing. Her body relaxe little by little as she sighed softly. This was better. Much better. She sang softly as one her favorite self made tracks came up. Her mood lighten up as she gave her version of the lyric she wrote down, given some of the changes she made.
((sorry for going MIA, work got really busy past few days))Piffy started to discuss their progress on the song and how much time they thought they'd need before finishing it. Echo and Leon worked on writing more music for the song, setting the lyrics aside for now. They were using Echo's guitar to figure out what notes would be best to use. Piffy looked to the bathroom again, wondering if Xia would come out soon. They really did need to work together on this and come to an agreement or else the new band wouldn't quite work out. The fans would notice if there was any awkward air between the members. "We need to make sure the girls don't get jealous of Xia in the video" Neil noted. "We also can't act like we're not close" Leon added.
Xia was alright after a bit. She walked out and shut off the ipod as she came back into the room. She heard the last thing. "I could be related to one of you, a cousin maybe." She said as she sat down and peered at the lyrics that got done without her there. Could they not wait? How rude! Talk about a total group of heartless busibodies.
Leon looked up at her when she spoke, watching her as she sat down again. "It would be weird if you were related to me" Neil commented. "I don't have family with a coat like yours" Leon added as his gaze slowly drifted to Echo who happened to be glaring at him. "We'll figure out some kind of arrangement" Leon stated as he looked away from Echo. Echo handed the sheet to Xia. "Here's some more music without the lyrics. Use the blue pen to add or take out anything based on your opinion."
"Im not saying close-close relitave, a distant blooded but close in relationship relative. We all know no one would belive i was related to one of you closely." She said as she looked at the papers that were handed to her. She nodded to echo and got to working. At this point she aas kinda multitasking, working on her backstory for the group and on the song for the group. She hummed the notes softly as she got an idea on how to word her new beginning with the band.
"You can be Leon's relative" Neil stated before Leon could say anything. Leon furrowed his eyebrows a bit as he looked over at her. "What? My family is part dog. They'd want to eat her alive" he said simply. Leon sighed a bit but didn't say anything. "Whatever." He got up and went to the kitchen to get a snack for himself. "Me too" Neil called out after him, wanting a snack as well. Echo looked down at the paper as she hummed to herself, not saying anything. Piffy got up from her chair. "After you guys write the song, I want you all to go on an outing somewhere. Xia still looked like an outcast even when they all talked. "You can invite friends along" she added. "Won't they get suspicious?" "Xia needs to be around beasts anyway without showing any signs of being human. It'll be good practice."
Xia shook her head lightly as she finished with the page before looking it over to change a few things as the outing idea came out. "Done it before, three years actually, rather not go into details." She said as she paused to look up at the group. "But the outing is still a good idea." She muttered. Maybe something will come out of it for nina. "What did you have in mind piffy?" She questioned as she got back to the page she was working on.
Piffy looked over at Xia when she spoke before looking back at everyone. "I meant practice for you guys." Neil looked confused. "For us? She's the one-" "No. As she said, she's been at this for three years. One mishap doesn't mean she edges the know how to be a beast. The problem is that you all don't see her as a beast. People will notice if you treat her like a human rather than a beast so you need to stop seeing her as just human, kay? And it's not a request" she said simply. "As for the outing, camping is always a good idea. Or road trip. Any suggestions are fine, as long as it doesn't involve being in the public eye too much."
Xia blinked as she was told it was practice around the guys. When did she actually stop. After the years in the lab, she kinda kept at it to stay out of the sneering public eye. It's not as bad as they think. They knew she was human so this questions their ability to see the obvious with her nature. She merely shrugged and finished the last notations she made on the lyric before pushing it over to Echo. "Let me call Nina, she might have an idea." Xia said as she looked through her contacts for Blackie. She hit call and set it to speaker. "Blackie, do you have an idea for an outing we could do? Out of public eye and raving fans?"Nina yawned and rubbed her eyes as she took in what exactly Xia was saying. "You dumb cat, you woke me up for that? Really?" She sighed before saying, "I may have an idea and a place to say if you want out of the public eye. Give me a few minutes to wake up, get dressed, and head over." she then hung up.
"That went well." Xia muttered under her breath as she put away her phone.
Echo looked down at the music sheet, looking over the musical notes that had been written or erased. He lightly played the notes on his guitar, mostly playing to himself. He wasn't really paying attention to their conversation. Believe it or not, he didn't really go out that much.Piffy nodded. "We'll discuss it more amongst yourself and then let me know. I have to go. Casey might come later" she informed them before heading out. She walked out, closing the door behind her.
"We need the lyrics to match to this now" Echo noted. Now they were going to work on the lyrics. They didn't have an entire song yet but they had enough music written down to work with so that they could write some lyrics to go with it. "We can work around the lyrics we already have."

Her part for the most part but she wasn't to know agout the outing place nina had in mind. When the door open she peered at a tired nina, yawning.
"Alright, im here." Nina muttered as she sat down. "The out is out of tbe public eye right?" She quesgioned as she got a nod out of her roommate. "Well, my family has a manson in the moutians, which mountain range, i don't know. But i do know it's in spain." She said as she looked to Xia. "You don't have a passport right."
"Yeah, no." Xia said as she sat back. "Broke right now, at peast as far as i know at the moment."
((:) ))"The company will help you get one. You'll need one for tours anyway" Leo said simply. Neil looked like he wanted to make a comment but kept it to himself. He usually held back remarks when they were working on the music since Echo was pretty strict about that. He didn't enjoy distractions. Neil looked down at the music before suggesting a few lyrics. Echo wrote some of it down but not all of it.
Leo looked over at Nina when she walked in. He glanced over at Echo when Nina said they could go to Spain for the outing but didn't say anything. Echo wasn't looking at him anyway since he was focused on the music still. "Why do they have a mansion in the mountains if I may ask?" Leo asked her, looking up at her.
Xia figured that one but said nothing as nina was questioned. "Nina is the heir to the tech company Zyta. It's her family's vacation home and is only know of by the family and a few friends." She explained as Nina looked away. "She refuses to be the heir though.""I just don't want to go with the family. My little brother can have it." Nina said as she shrugged. "Disowned bt given a slight allowance, my passport renewed every year, and allowed to use the family homes." She stated as she looked at her hands.
"I like their stuff" Neil noted, glancing down at what Echo was writing down on the page. "Leo is an heir too but chose to be a part of Fang" he said simply. "Not like bei an heir is always all that anyway" Neil said with a shrug. Leo looked over at him. "Quit talking about stuff you don't know." "I'm just saying" he muttered. Leo looked back at a in, ignoring him. "If you don't mind, we'd love to use your family home for the outing" he told her. Echo handed the lyrics to Leo, a rough draft done already. Echo usually wrote most of the lyrics anyway.
Nina glared at the hiena. It was nice to hear she wasn't the only one with family struggles like her but she would've liked to have heard it from Leo himself. Then again why wasn't she getting after Xia? No that's because she knew in full detail the family she had. "No problem at all."Xia watched the music sheet get passed around the members. She then peeked to Nina when she spoke. Yup she still has her crush.

Echo had dozed off in the back of the car, leaning his head against the window. Most of his hair was covered his face but it was pretty obvious he was sleeping. Neil was looking out the window, always fascinated by new places. As always, he was the most energetic member when it came to going outside. Leo was calmly gazing out the window, spotting the home as they arrived. The band's friends were in the other car. Neil had brought two friends-one being his younger brother-while Leo had brought one. Echo hadn't invited anyone. Piffy stretched a bit as the car came to a stop. "Finally. I was getting restless" she complained. "Since when do you get restless?" Leo questioned. "When I travel with you three int he car" she said simply before climbing out of the car. She looked up at the home before going to the other car to find Casey.
Nina view her vacation home and sighed softly. They only brought their things, her and Xia at least. The other brought friends of their own, which was fine, the house had tones of room. The three story 3 acher home with a round 20 acher plot of forest to run through. There was tons to do, three game rooms, a movie theater, indoor swimming pool, and two bowling alleys. She wondered if she was leaving anything out but she would figure that out later. She got out and stretched. "Welcome to one home that my family owns. The round 20 acher is okay for a run if you need it."Xia was still asleep in the back of the car.
"Um. Could someone carry the cat inside?" Nina said as she shook her head lightly.
Leo went to Echo and gently woke him up. Echo slowly blinked before yawning a bit, baring his fangs just like a cat would before closing his mouth. He rubbed his face a bit before climbing out if the car, rubbing his eyes a bit. "Why can't you just wake her up?" Leo asked her as he looked over at her. Neil was busy talking to his younger brother and his friend. Leo's friend was looking in the car, looking at Xia curiously.
"For one, she scratches," Nina said. " and two, this is the longest I have seen her sleep in a while." She said as she stretched herself out.Xia curled up a bit more as she slept through it all. It was true, with the song going through her mind and trying to practice, naps and sleep was rare commodity with her.
"Such a busybody." She murmured as she shook her head lightly. Of course she was the same at the moment, remembering the lines to three comersials, a few minor roles, and a crowd appearance. Yeah, she was busy.
"Neil, take her inside" Echo said before he went to grab the bags. Neil looked over and frowned. "Why me? Tell Le-" he cut off when Echo gave him a look. Neil grumbled before he went to pick up Xia, reluctantly. Leo shook his head before he also went to help with the the bags. Leo's friend Taylor grabbed his own bags, as did Neil's younger brother Marcus and his friend Peter. Puffy looked over at Nona. "You assigning rooms or is it a free for all?"
"Rooms were assigned." Nina said as she got out her phone to text the directions to each room to those there. "Neil follow me," she said as she begain to walk inside. "Maps are also in the text if you ever need to find someone or a room in particular." She said as she walked up the stairs into her home. Xia grumbled in her sleep softly.
"Can I ask where you put Echo?" she asked her as she walked alongside her. Neil reluctantly followed after her, briefly looking down at Xia but tried not to pay her much mind. The others followed after them, taking note of the directions given to them by phone.Echo glanced around before pulling his duffel bag over his shoulder. He didn't need much so it wasn't necessary to bring too many bags. Not like they were staying for weeks or anything.
"Next to Xia." She whispered into her ear. "I figured those two needed a bit closer proximity to get use to one another." she said as she looked at her friend for the past two years. "And I think she lies when she said she didn't like anyone here.... I do see her looking at him a bit, not a whole lot though." she said as she opened the door to Xia's room. "Not that I find them cute together...." She muttered quietly.
Piffy looked back at the sleeping Xia before looking back at Nina with a gentle smile. "Alrighty" she accepted. Normally she would have put Echo in a separate area but it was true, they needed to get more comfortable with each other. She looked back at Echo who was not too far off. She looked back at her. "Any chance you have a map of where everyone is located?" She needed to know for safety purposes. Neil walked past them, putting Xia on the bed.
"The map of everything is in the text I sent out to each that came with. It was why I got everyone's phone number before hand." Nina smiled slyly. Well, the other reasion was that she now had Leo's number. Happy, yes. Are they texting, sparsely but again yes.Xia curled up on the bed when she was set down. She relaxed and nuzzled into the bed with a small smile.
"She should be up in the next hour or so." She said as she stretched slightly. "Piffy, I have an idea we could do." she said before whispering about a bravery test and the fact that there was halloween decor stashed her from her family vaca when they did it annually.
"Ohh, that's good" she nodded, checking the map on her phone. Neil left to go to his own room, seeing no need to stay there. She nodded when she explained she'd be up in the next hour. She smiled as she explained her idea about the bravery test. "Oooh, I like that" she said with a nod and a smile.Echo ignored them as he reached his room. He walked inside and closed the door behind him, having noticed he was next to Xia.
"I will have one of the helpers here do the controls. Everything is set up in the woods already so no need to go out to set up anything but the trail flags." She whispered, "I will sneak off and do those soon, not that anyone would follow anyway." She shrugged and smiled. "Anyway, You can pick the pairs"
Piffy smiled. "Sounds good to me. Will you be a participant?" she asked curiously. Sure she was organizing but didn't mean she couldn't partake. Plus, it wouldn't hurt if she took part as well. She glanced down at the map, idly wondering where she had put Leo. She was already thinking in her head how she would pair everyone. She didn't care too much for protests since the band needed to get more comfortable together as a group.
"Yeah, I will." She smiled and Winked. "Dressing up is allowed so this should be fun." she giggled before walking out to set everything up, first contacting one of the staff that helped each year.
Piffy smiled before going off to get ready herself. She had a pretty good idea who to pair off but figured she should include Casey in on it. She figured Casey wouldn't want to participate anyway. ((skip to bravery test?))
-later-Puffy smiled once everyone was gathered together. "Alright. Now that everyone is here I'll be pairing people off." "Are you killing us in twos or something?" Neil asked. "Ha. Your hilarious" she said sarcastically. Stand with your partner please once I say your name. Neil and Taylor. Marcus and Peter. Leo and Nina. Xia and Echo. I miss anyone?" she questioned while gesturing everyone stand next to their partners. Neil raised an eyebrow but got up and stood next to Taylor anyway. Marcus and Peter were already near one another. Echo glanced over at Xia but stayed where he was while Leo walked over to Nina." "What's this all for anyway?" Peter asked. "We're having an activity" Piffy said simply.
Nina was dressed in one of her favorite costumes, a priestess. As for Xia, with a little coercing(a promise of crepes for diner), she was dressed in cute ninja costume. The outfits addressed their body types well without being too revealing. Nina tried not to act too excited but her tail did flick slightly to her being paired with Leo.Xia on the other hand wanted out. As much as she liked the outfit, she knew what they were going to do in a matter of moments. She was a scaredy cat, no pun intended, when it came to anything scary. She heard stories of the trails from Nina and didn't like it one bit. The fact that they were doing this was crazy, why do this and why pair her with echo? She peeked over at him and looked away when she saw him staring at her.
Piffy had dressed the boys, well at least Neil and Leo since Echo had refused to dress up. The most she got out of Echo was making him wear black which with his pale skin and fangs, kind of make him look like a vampire. Neil and his brother were dressed up as pirates. Taylor was dressed up as Robin Hood and Leo was the Mad Hatter. They weren't very detailed costumes but the theme was there. "Why did we need to dr-" "Because it's fun" Piffy cut Neil off. "Now. I'll send you out by pairs to the trails and whoever gets out first may win a prize. Have fun" she said with a smile. "Marcus and Peter can go first." They looked to each other before heading out.Neil chatted with Taylor in the mean time since asking questions wasn't going to help. Piffy definitely wouldn't change her mind.
Leo looked down at Nina's outfit before looking up at her face. "What are you supposed to be?" he questioned.
Echo stayed where he was, leaning against the wall. He was just going along with this whole charades but he would have preferred staying in his room. He didn't see the big deal about doing this anyway.
Nina looked over to Leo when he spoke. "Japanese priestess." She said as she found a few sutras she made herself. "Sutras in all..." She murmured as she waited for her turn in the trails ahead. She knew some of the scares that happened on the trails but her family had many trails she has yet to explore during these events. She heard a girlish scream and snickered softly.The last thing Xia needed to hear was that scream. Yes while girly it was hilarious, but it made her tense a little. Nina nudged her lightly with a small smile, but the unease didn't settle. She was one more scream from bolting.
Nina pushed her a little closer to Echo before looking to piffy. She motioned for Xia and Echo to go next.
Leo glanced back at the outfit before nodding. "Looks good" he told her before looking over at Neil when he called him. He was mentioning something about Taylor while Taylor insisting otherwise. Neil chuckled when he heard the scream, knowing he'd make fun of them after.Piffy noticed the motion before giggling a bit, also taking note of the scream. It was probably Marcus, if not she'd be surprised if it was Peter. "Alright, Xia and Echo next."
Echo gloried up when he was mentioned before getting off from the wall. He looked over Xia before heading for the exit that led outside to the trails.
Nina smiled softly at his complement and was a bit relieved that her friend was now walking towards the trails with the last bit of bravery that she could muster. "Hope this goes over well." She said as they disappeared from sight. Xia was starting to shake a little. Luckily they were out of sight of the house and again no so luckily. Her eyes darted about as she sorta stuck close to Echo. She saw a show something move from the corner of her eye, making her jump slightly. When something gurgled out a laugh she squeaked and hugged Echo's arm.
Leo looked over at her. "You hope what goes over well?" he asked curiously, having overheard her. He wasn't eavesdropping or anything br she was right next to him.Piffy waited a few minutes before sending Neil and Taylor out.
Echo blinked before looking over at her after she suddenly hugged his arm. He wasnt used to close contact at all. He barely got close to his band mates as it is. "Half the noises you hear are probably in your head" he pointed out.
"Them getting closer, most of the awkwardness is between those too anyway." She said as she waited their turn. they were last so it would be a bit more suspenseful. She wasn't scared as Xia was of the trails, but she did jump a bit when the animatronics jumped, fell, or slid into view.Xia still hung onto his arm, shaking her head softly. Her body shook softly as they walked. They soon found the first animatronic and she moved from his arm to his chest. Her shreak was a silent one, but her heart still thumped in her chest loudly.
Leo looked towards the door then back at her. "You mean Xia and Echo?" he asked curiously. He looked over when Piffy said they could go on ahead. Leo got up, heading to the exit with her. "Who knows. Echo is a tough nut to crack."Echo froze when she got closer. He looked down at her, unsure of what to do at this point. He also wasn't one to comfort people really but he wasn't entirely cold hearted... "Uh...Xia? We can't keep walking in this position..." He figured she wanted to get out but they couldn't proceed like this.
"So is Xia believe it or not. She talks more of her life after the age of 18 rather than before." She said as she walked out into the wood excited what she would see this time around. "Even I don't know exactly what had happened back then other than she could act like one of us and rather well." She said as she stretched slightly. "this is going to be so much fun."Xia froze in place as he spoke. She was scared and wanted to get out, but her grip didn't loosen. She merely moved to the side so they could walk. The warmth of his body was comforting to her and didn't want to let got quite yet.
Leo looked over at her when she said it would be fun. He chuckled softly. "I can only assume you've been through this before. Wouldn't it bore you by now?" he asked curiously, looking ahead at the road.Echo watched her silently for a moment before he starting walking again. He figured there was no use trying to get her off at this point. Her fear was pretty obvious and it didn't seem like she'd calm down until they were out of there. His ears twitched slightly before looking towards the bushes, wondering if something planned to pop out from there as well.
"Nope, there is always something new on the trails." She smiled as she walked. "My family always gets something new before donating the old to local haunted houses." She added as she jumped to the shreak that came from a speaker. "yup always something new." she laughed after a second.Xia trembled as they walked, she nuzzled in a bit more as more animatronics popped out. God when would this end. Her ears lowered down to the side of her head as she wondered forward to the exit, with ever that was going to be.
Leo flinched slightly since it had been unexpected. He smiled gently before looking ahead. "Why do they even have this here anyway? A hobby?" he asked curiously as he looked ahead. He smiled when he could hear everyone else's screams in the distance.Echo glanced down at her before looking ahead. She knew it was fake but got scared anyway? She definitely couldn't see horror movies then. "You could just sing yourself a lullaby or something" he suggested. They moved slower since she clung so tightly to him.
Nina smiled at the screamed and laughed. "Yeah it's a hobby we had as a family. Been this way since the haunted house my family fell in love in." She snickered as she walked bravely through her family's forest. "It became my favorite part about vacationing here."Xia barely got to walking the pace she was going, singing was something should couldn't go at the moment. She couldn't even scream, her vocal cords too strained from fright to make a sound.
