"You guys are probably thinking im doing this to improve myself. That's a no. I just want people to hear my playing and to play with others. Being human does give alot of options in anything." She as she pulled her hood up as she was walked up to. She pocketed the headphones and smiled to the bunny. "Hi." She said as she figured out what to do. This girl should know she's human, right?

Leon and Neil looked over at her when she spoke but didn't say anything. Neil sat at the drums, taking the drum sticks and hitting the drums a bit and the cymbals to see if anything needed tuning. Leon also checked his guitar to see if it needed to be tuned. There was an electric piano on the side but he didn't need it for the first song. She smiled. "Nice to meet ya. My name is Penelope but people call me Piffy. No idea why. You can call me Piffy. Are you gonna watch?" she asked curiously. "They have a concert coming up so they have to practice. You'll be on stage soon enough once you write new songs together" she said with a smile.
Xia knew most that had talent in music hid it. It was more of to the fact that they were put down by every beast they meet. It was hard to form a group of any kind with that hanging over head. Police were hell if humans started a band. "I'm going to watch and work on my playing. It will help in the future in the group." She said as she settled in a corner and cliped her small amp to her belt, plugged in her guitar and headphones, and put one of the headphones in her ear. She was ready and waited for them to start. She wanted this to work and to succeed.
"Alrighty" she said before she quickly went to fix everyone else a bit before standing in center stage to watch them. Echo glanced over at Xia before he gestured to Neil to start. Neil started the rhythm off easy before adding in more beats as Leon joined in. Shortly after Leon started, Echo started singing the lyrics. Normally Echo didn't play an instrument and simply sang or riled up the audience but he knew how to play the electric and acoustic guitar. Neil glanced over at Xia, wondering if she intended to add to the current song. Echo probably wouldn't pay much mind to it since the concert would be without her.
Xia waited for the music to start and felt Echo's stare. She merely ignored it as music started. She wasn't accusome to this song so she listened for the moment. She soon was playin and experimenting with different tones before figuring it out and smiled as she was the only one listening to their combined artistry. Being that she was human, she didn't notice nina sneaking up on her and unplugging the headphones and letting her playing out for all to hear. At the moment she didn't quite hear the problem but stopped a few cords later with a blushed and a glare to nina.
Neil spotted Nina but didn't say anything, smiling faintly. He continued on beat, focused on his own part. Echo glanced over when her guitar got unplugged, obviously without her notice considering the look on her friend's face. He looked away from them, finishing the song shortly after Xia stopped playing. He stepped back from the mic as Piffy clapped happily. "That was great" she assured them. "However, Leon try and look a little less serious when you play." She walked over and poked him between the eyebrows. "And stop furrowing your eyebrows. Such a bad habit when you perform." "Dont the girls just think he's adorable because of it?" Neil questioned as he leaned back. "A little is fine. Too much gives you wrinkles" she said simply. "And Echo, try avoiding eye contact less. Try and looking at your audience a few times" she told him, putting her hands on her hips. Echo sighed softly before he walked away to grab a stool. The next song was at a slower tempo. Piffy looked over at Nina. "Wanna be audience with me?" she asked curiously.
Xia got thw sheepishly sly grin from nina as the band wa criticed. She blinked as her friend got pulled away by piffy. "Unplug the headphones when you think it's right. It sounded great." Nina winked before sh disappeared "stupid dogs..." Xia puffed. "I heard that." "Stupid dogs." Xia repeated as the next song started. One of nina's favorites and one she has yet to figure out. She plugged in the head phones and eperiment on her playing. She was a little flustered by the middle of the song. She stopped playing listened to the melody. She was fine with slow songs, it's just this one that she didn't get.
Echo sat down on the stool, Piffy having lowered the mic for him already. She stood by Nina as the song started, smiling gently. Echo sang softly as Leon started off the melody this time. Neil didn't need to play too much but he did help with the melody. This song depended on mostly Echo's voice and Leon's guitar so there wasn't too much room for anything extra. Though Leon was interested to see if Xia could manage to add on to this as well. After a couple of minutes the song came to an end. Piffy smiled. "Great. Neil, try not to look so bored next time." Neil chuckled softly. "Bored? I wouldn't even be playing the drums if I felt bored." Piffy stuck her tongue out at him. "No protesting. Doesn't matter if you don't feel bored, you looked bored so fix it." She looked over at Xia. "Have you ever performed in front of anyone?" she asked her curiously as they got ready for the next song. Everything was positioned somewhere else. There would be two songs in a row now.
The song ended before she could figure a stand where her sound could fit. She looked to piffy as she was addressed. "Well i tried, three times actually. Got food and drinks thrown at me before i could even start. Thankfully my guitar was still in its case each time." She said as she shrugged. "I wasn't wearing the ears and tail or the spray. Never really saw the need with music." She said as she saw nina smiling slyly. "Nina, you better not." Of course nina knew somethings that she rather not deal with at the moment. Like her singing. She sang and got caught by nina on more than on occasion. Mostly when she jammed out in her room... sometimes in the shower. Nina just laughed.
Piffy looked thoughtful. "So you don't really have stage experience. I can work more one on one later with you when you have your first performance." For now she was still busy with this concert. She was their producer as well as their stylist. She also worked as the manager when the manager, had to take time off. They continued to go through the songs for the concert and went over where to move on stage and what affects would come up for which songs before they started wrapping up. The concert was just a couple of days away. Echo walked off the stage first, grabbing a bottle of water. "We can also work on your wardrobe after you get settled" Piffy said with a smile. She looked over at Nina. "You getting a job with us?" she asked curiously. Leon headed back to the dressing room while Neil got up and stretched. It had been a long rehearsal so they were probably heading back home first.
She tilted her head. "I like my style." She muttered as she looked down to her punk outfit. She sighed and set her guitar in its case as she moved to the edge of the stage and sat down. Nina was a bit surprised by he question. "Um... i was just going to room with Xia, i did wanna impose by forcing my way into a job because of this." Xia peered at nina and grinned. "Blackie wants to be an actress." She said softly. "Yeah and that cat likes to..." the last words were cut off and xia threw one of her spare picks at nina. "I only want to play guitar."
Piffy shook her head. "I don't change it, I just enhance it" she explained. "Everyone is dressed in what they're comfortable in. You'll still have your own style but I'll tweak it, mostly for performances, so that you don't seem out of place on stage." She looked to Nina before shrugging. "You wouldn't be forcing. You'd apply if you want to work here. However, it's no big deal if you're not interested in working here." She shrugged. "Up to you. I think Casey is busy with promotions so I'll take care of taking you guys to the new place. Do you have your belongings with you?" she questioned. "Do you either of you have a crush on any of them?" she asked the two curiously. She tended to talk pretty fast since she always had a lot of energy, except at night.
Xia and nina listened. "No, we haven't." Xia stated as she looked at piffy. "And i don't have a crush on anyone here." Nina stated the same. Xia knew that nina liked leon, but with help she could work around it. "I have my car so we will beable to move quickly." Nina said as she thrww the tossed pick back to Xia. Xia caught the pick and shut the case. "Should we go then?" Xia smiled as she jumped from the stage and landed on her feet with ease. "Cat..." "no it's called balance and weight placement."
Piffy pouted a bit. "Hmm, bummer. I would have rooted for you" she said when they explained they had no crushes. All three boys were single and only Neil had had a girlfriend but that was before the band. She hopped off the stage, a fluffy tail popping out from her skirt. She smiled faintly when she saw Xia land on her feet. She wondered if she actually wanted to be a cat or not. She looked back at them. "Do you know where the new place is? I can help to guys pack then take you to the new place. I have nothing to do right now" she offered. Leon and Echo were already ready to leave. Echo had a black hoodie on, pulling it on over his head as he wore shades. he was the most noticeable out of the three with his white hair.
Xia elbowed piffy softly when nina was stealing a glance at leon. "Yeah, help with packing would be great. Though nina will need the most help." She snickered and nina growled at her. "Quiet you damn cat." Xia grinned and walked out as piffy and nina followed. "Oh come on blackie, you would miss me if i disappeared." She laughed softly. "Alright but i will record you the next time you blare your playing." "Stalker." "No thats called roommates."
Puffy yelped when she elbowed her, looking confused. "What?" she asked questioningly. She followed after them, spotting the guys. "You guys can go on ahead. I'll see you guys in a bit. Don't cause any trouble" she told them sternly. Leon smiled faintly. "Shouldn't that warning be only for Neil?" Leon looked over, having felt someone's gaze but hadn't spotted Nina looking. Neil frowned. "I caused trouble once. Stop holding a grudge." Leon rolled his eyes before following after Echo who had gone ahead of them already. Neil grumbled a bit before going after them. "Where did you park your car?" she asked them curiously.((Gtg))
"A block away from here." Nina stated as she shook her head, making flour fall out of her hair. Xia laughed and got elbowed. "Even in rage you have a rational mind." Xia stuck her tongue out. Nina merely walked on. "Piffy, nina was a small crush on leon." Xia whispered to the rabbit as they walked. "She didn't want to seem like a stalker if she came out with it." She shrugged and walked out. "Me, well i have never met anyone that gave me that spark." She strwtched and walked after nina.
Piffy looked over at her when she explained that Nina liked Leon. She smiled, clapping very softly. "Oh how cute. Don't see how she'd be a stalker. Stalkers are way creepier and give off a scarry vibe" he murmured. She looked over at her before catching up. "Well you're still young so there's plenty of time" she said with a smile. "Oh, do excuse Echo is he's ever rude. His history with humans is pretty bad" she stated.
Xia shrugged. "Beasts made my familys record company go broke and disappear from existance. You don't see me wining about it." She sais as she pulled out a old business card. "And my family employed beasts as singers and bands. Even put a few into acting." She smiled and went on. "Even had a moto, everyone is welcome if they got the talent." She shook her head loghtly. "But this was long before i was born." She walked out to the car. "I don't take many words to heart, but I'm not stone. Echo is echo, if he says something too harsh, you'll know." She murmured softly as she got in.
Piffy didn't say much on it since it wasn't her place to say it. Losing a company was nothing compared to what Echo had to go through. She climbed into the car after looking it over. Despite any insults thrown, she'd probably side with Echo regardless. Sure she'd make him apologize but she'd known Echo for longer. "How much time does it take to get to your place?"
"Thirdy wih my driving, about half that with blackie's driving." Xia stated as she looked back to piffy. "I know past experiences can't truely be matched, but that was my familiy's past." She said as she truely staye shut about her past. It was nothing too bad but it was bad none he less. "But enough abou the past. Onward blackie, hold on piffy!" She giggled as nina pulled onto the roads.
Piffy buckled in before leaning back in the car. She looked over at Nina, not commenting on the past thing. "Why didn't you clean off the flour before we left? Isn't it annoying to be covered in flour?" she asked her curiously. She glanced out the window as they sped down the road.
"Yes." Nina said. "But it's not the worst thing that has been dumped on me." Xia giggled. "The worst one wasn't my falt," "damn cat." "You tried to out craft the master and got gooed by your own trap." "Enough." "Awe but the fact that i helped with the bath to clean you up stays hidden." "Not if you say it aloud like that. "Oops." Xia laughed as she held the oh shit handle. Nina pulled into her parkong spot and aighed.
Piffy glanced between the two as they spoke, not saying anything. She climbed out of the car once they got there, brushing herself off a bit. They seemed to be good friends from her observation. She glanced around before looking at them. "What floor do you live on?"
"Third." The girls said together as they got out. Xia walked in as she got geered at. Nina sighed and walked in after her friend. "Don"t mind them, they are always like that." Xia said as she walked up the flights of steps to the third floor. Nina followed. "To you maybe, but they do cat calls to me when im alone." Nina huffed as she pushed forward.
Piffy glanced around as she followed in after them. "Carnivore beasts tend to stare more than herbivore beasts" she noted. She looked over at them. "Don't they have human only buildings?" she asked curiously. Why had she chosen to live here?
"No vacancy and those that did were above my paying income." Xia opned the door to thwir room and walked in. "This biulding tolerates humans." She added as she walked to her room o pack her things. Nina walked to her room. "Piffy, make yourself at home. There isn't much in the fridge but help yourself." Nina said before closing her bathroom door. Xia changed into a cute punk outfit and slipped on her tail and ears. She turned them on and tested their movements, making sure they would move like her arms and legs did. She walked out of her room with her two suitcases. "Im finished." She said as her pure white tail swished behind her.
Piffy looked around as they went to pack. She briefly checked the fridge, curious as to what was inside. She closed the fridge as she came out. She looked over at the tail. "White tail?" she questioned curiously. She would think she'd go more for black. She couldn't change the color of them once she performed on stage because people would know she was human if the cat features were changing colors.
"Yeah, this is my back up set." Xia said as her ears twitched. "I can't seem to fix my primary set." She said as she held up her broken set with calico colors, mainly black and grey. "I can dye the fur to the colors i want a little later. For now i just have to get use to wairing this pair, making sure it is in sync to my body and emotions." She said as she put her primary set in her bag. "My mom always sends white ones for me to dye and try out before sending them to the beast company that deals woth the tech."
Piffy tilted her head a bit. "Do your parents wear robotic ears and tails too?" she asked curiously. She looked down at the tails and ears. "Why not buy them dyed to begin with?" She didn't know about that stuff since hers were real. The white set reminded her of Echo except that his had spots on them.
Xia shook her head. "Doesn't fell right if i dye the set right away. After i get a feel for it, then i dye it." She said as she fluffed out the fur on her tail and swished it purposly. "If i feel thelat they stay white, they will and my outfits will change when i wear them." She said and looked to nina as she walked out of her room clean and with more things than what Xia had. "Wow, a long haired version tail." Nina stated as she went back for the last of her thibgs.
"So you feel how the tails feels then decide the color? You sure you aren't part animal of something?" she asked curiously. She looked over at Nina. "I can see why you call her cat now" she commented. "Need help with your bags?" she asked curiously. She walked over to help her with them.
"Okay so im not pure human, i have a small fraction of beast on my mom's side. Enough to have the nature but nothing else. My scent down to my body structure is human." Xia explain. "I get called poser but it's just my nature." "And your uncanny balance." "That too." "Yeah, help will be nice." Nina smiled at piffy. "Animal noices are hard as well, all my chockers have a device that helps me purr when needed." Xia added a bit later as they walked back down to the car.
"Are you one of those mixed kids that happened before the new government?" she asked curiously, seeming fascinated. "I heard a rumor that if you get with a beast then you're beast parts will naturally enhance. Wouldn't that be so cool? I wanna be there if it happens" she said with a smile. She grabbed some of Nina's bags before heading out with them. "You can purr too? You should hear Echo purr, it's very fascinating. He sounds like a mix of growling and a roar" she said with a smile. "So one of your parents is a beast?" she asked curiously.
"Yeah, my mom is a mix. It's my great grandparents on my mother's side that is the original couple." Xia said as she remember one more thing. "Oh and my eye color is natural, part of the beast gene appearently. No contacts what so ever." She smiled as she looked back to piffy. "I'm not sure about the enhancing but i'm sure if i come to like a beast, i will keep you in the loop." She paused before saying. "Im guessing you and echo are childhood friends."
Piffy seemed absolutely fascinated. "Wow. I've never met a mix before. And you definitely must keep me in the hoop!" she insisted. "Mixes are the only ones allowed to breed with humans or the other way around nowadays. I think you'd be a cute cat if the genes got enhanced." She raised an eyebrow before scoffing. "Me and Echo? Pssh, no. I would have been eaten if I grew up with him." She shook her head. "I was the one who recruited him. He was a solo singer before we found Leon and Neil. I was his personal manager back then" she said proudly. "I know talent when I see it."
Nina laughed. "She's already a cat. Only scent lies." Xia rolled her eyes. "Great the house pet has a humor." "Don't make me chase you up a tree." "Not if i scratch your eyes out first." Nina growled and xia play hissed, collar enhanced. "Just pack the car." Nina huffed and opened the trunk. Xia grinned as she expertly packed the car with their combined luggage. "Alright, where to for our new home, piffy." Nina said as xia movd into the backseat to nap.
"A cat with the scent would be more fun. Then she can play with other cats with no problem." She helped out the bags in the car before climbing into the passenger seat. "You can head back in the direction we were at. The building is on Scran Ave and Bingminton st" she explained. She looked back at Xia. "Can you actually climb up a tree?" she asked curiously. "What about land on your feet if you fall? Too bad you're not a rabbit like me. We could have pretended to hop everywhere" she joked. She didn't actually do that but it was the stereotype. She answered her phone, Casey calling her to see where she was at. She hung up after explaining she was on her way to the building.
"Always had a nack for climbing, and i mostly tent to land on my feet. There are times where i land on my ass." Xia yawned as she smiled at the hopping comment before falling asleep as nina drove. Nina peered back at xia to make sure she was asleep. "You wanna know something piffy?" She said, driving a little more causiously with the sleeping cat in the back seat. "Xia doesn't like it known too much, but she can sing too. There were times when her voice was like a purr when she sang, with the collar off no less." Nina smiled as she drove closer to the record studio. "I found out first when she was in the shower, to my offence i thought the radio was going in there to cover my need to pee."
Piffy giggled a bit when she explained that she landed on her ass sometimes. She looked over at Nina when she mentioned her name, seeming curious already. She glanced back at Xia after she mentioned she could sing. "She should say so. She could even duet with Echo at some point if she can sing well." She looked back at Nina. "Do you know why she doesn't want people to know she can sing?" she asked curiously. She figured she would want to use all of her talents and show them off with this chance she had.
"She has a beautiful voice, but she is scittish about her voice being heard. She's good with her guitar and being out there with it, but one vocal note heard and she is like a frightened cat that couldn't find a hidding spot fast enough." Nina explained. "Not a word of this to anyone, Xia is one to hold a grudge for a little while to prolong torture." She shook her head as her sleeling roomie subconciously used her collar to purr in her sleep.
Piffy pouted a bit. "No fair. I wanna hear her sing" she mumbled. She sighed softly. "She sounds just like Echo when we first met. Always shy about his talents. I barely managed to get it out of him." She shrugged. "Hopefully she'll come to share it with us." She looked over at Nina. "Any luck with the acting career?" she asked curiously. "I can point out a few gigs you can apply for if you'd like" she offered. She was all for people fulfilling their dreams do she liked helping.
"I'll see what i can do about recording her went she jams out." Nina said as she looked to piffy after pulling over at the apartment that was said. "It happens alot when she's troubled and getting help would be awesome. I can't seem to find the right jobs." She said as she shut off the car. "Um, im not waking that cat up, she get prissy when she is forced awake." Nina sajd as she got out.
Piffy smiled when she said she would accept help. She giggled when she mentioned waking up Xia. She was used to it with Echo and Leon. Waking up big cats was harder than house cats. "Xia!" she called out shamelessly. "Get up we're here! You'll be left in the car if you don't get up" she told her before climbing out. She went to the back to help get the bags out. She called Leon after, telling him to get his butt downstairs. Sure enough, he walked out of the building a few minutes later, his hair kind of tousled from laying on the couch. "Come help with the bags" Piffy said simply, looking at him expectantly, Leon sighed softly before he walked over to help.((Gtg))
Xia jumped as she was woken up rudely. She hissed and glared at the rabbit. "Remind me to make muffs out of you." She hissed as she got out. "Um piffy, it's your own fault if you wake up bald." Nina warned as she picked up some up her things. Xa got her things as leon reached them. She yawned as her ears twitched in irritation. Nina never interrupted Xia's naps, not after what the cat did to her brother. Talk about painful to see the next day.
Piffy simply smiled. "If I was afraid of a house cat I wouldn't be in this business. You'd be fired on the spot if you lay a finger on me" she said sweetly. She picked up one of Nina's bags, heading inside. Leon didn't say anything as he grabbed one of the heavier ones with ease. He was used to Piffy, she may be a sweet rabbit but looks were often deceiving. She really knew how to get the upper hand on people. All three boys behaved when they realized how real her threats were. Piffy pushed the elevator button, waiting patiently. Leon glanced over at Xia, noticing the white tail and ears. His own tail wasn't very long since he was a Lynx but it did sway some and curl up at the end with certain emotions. His hair was currently brown since it was summer but it would start getting lighter with a some white when it starts getting colder like a normal Lynx. He stepped onto the elevator after Piffy, letting her push the button.
Xià smiled in return. She would find something that required her touch in revenge woth piffy. One way that she could not get fired for it. A challege this kitty liked. Nina thought to aarn the rabbit but thought it was useless. Xia was crafty enought to find a way around the rules. It happened more than one account that she remembered. Xia relaxed in the elevator aa she plotted for the long run. "So what would our room be like?" Xia murmured with asmall yawn, her wake up wasn't lost on her.
Piffy shrugged. "Don't know. Casey is the one who got it." She simply knew which one it was. "...Isn't that...?" Leon questioned, just realizing what floor they were going to. "Yup" she said before stepping off the elevator. She headed down the hall, two doors away from the last door down the hall. She took out the key before unlocking the door and opening it. Leon sighed as he stepped off the elevator, going into the room to set the bags down. Piffy turned on the lights. It was bigger than their last place that was for sure. The two bedrooms were equally big but not next to each other. "Here we are" she told the girls. Leon pushed his hair out of his face before heading for the door to leave.
Xia and nina looked to leon. He seemed to know where they were going and it didn't seem to elight him. "Leon, why are you sighing?" Nina wondered as xia laid claim to th bedroom sh wanted, dragging her things with her. "Do we share the floor with another from he band?" She asked further as se tilted her head slightly. Xia walked out of her room and held dyes in her hands. "Blackie, can you help me dye my earsand tail after we unpack?" "Yeah, i will."
Leon looked back at Nina when she asked about whether they shared the floor with someone else. "Echo lives down the hall" he answered. He didn't answer the question about sighing since it wasn't really necessary. Part of him just wanted to go back to his couch and lay down. "Me and Neil live upstairs" he added, figuring that they'd find out eventually anyway. He looked confused when Xia mentioned dying. "...You dye your tail?"
