I am so excited!! I never thought I'd actually read this series, but here we go.....

Of course it's okay! LOL That also means I'll be asking you more questions! And if you know me that could mean trouble! LOL

I think it's wonderful to love a book (books) enough to read more than once. I just never have been one to do that or watch a movie twice or more. I don't know why, but even if I don't remember what happened I rarely go for a second read/watch. LOL I think I'm weird! Ha ha!

I don't my bf is like that. I am opposite I can watch a film 20/30 times and still love it. I only reread books I truly love like HP, Twlight, the study series and a few others. I tried to reread Hunger games but since I had seen the film there was nothing new for me and it was a chore.

Maybe when I retire, but there are always so many great books coming out that I feel like I'm wasting time. Not that I think re-reading is a waste of time but for ME I feel like my time is better spent on a new one.

But you know what, I'm going to make it a goal to re-read a favorite book this next year in 2016. So thank you! Lol

It's okay, I think sometimes you get something new out of reread. Like the Harry Potter books, there is always something new to discover. I have read them so many times and I am still finding new snippets I had not noticed before.
It's been years since I have reread these, really looking forward to it.

People with good memories struggle with rereads though, since it is all very familiar to them, I don't have a bad memory but not a great one lol

LOL That's why I say I don't know why I don't read books or watch movies more than once. I always forget most of it other than the gist of it. LOL

Chapter 1 (view spoiler)[ Does seem like a scary situation, being placed in a new school in your teens, that is not something I would have wanted. I moved when I was 7, that wasn't so bad, younger kids tend to be nicer. :)

Chapter 1 and all I'll get to today.

It seems awkward to me that she (view spoiler)[calls her dad Charlie unless she's addressing him. That makes me feel like they are estranged, but so far he seems pretty cool/nice. (hide spoiler)]

I agree that would be a difficult (view spoiler)[ move BUT she wanted it. It seems like she and her mother weren't real close, but I'm not sure about that yet. (hide spoiler)]

It's okay, this is a slow read, a chapter a day is fine. and if we miss a day or two, oh well, the read just lasts a day or two longer.

I only read chapter 1 last night and haven't read ONE word in ANY book today yet. I just got home from work a little over an hour ago and have a headache. LOL I always get them at the beginning of the school year. LOL

As I was reading last night I kept thinking of the movie. I know I took some of my grandkids to see two of them. I think Twilight was one. I remember a teen girl (MC I'm sure) was in the cafeteria or library and she and the wolf guy (or is that vampire? LOL) caught eyes. I remember the two of them out by a car (hers I think). And after reading about Charlie being a cop, I sort of remember her dad being a cop and, if I remember correctly, didn't really want her with the guy (I don't even know names). That's all I remember from that movie.

The other movie I only remember ONE thing...I fell asleep during the movie and I woke up to a girl being underwater and I asked my grandson why was she underwater but still alive. LOL The next thing I know they were all standing on the porch. Lovely, right?

So now I just have to get the movie scenes out of my head. But so far I do like it, but I have barely read anything.

Yes but the writing style is half the battle, if you like that you are more likely to enjoy the book. The first film sounds about right, no idea what the second one was lol.

Yeah, I hadn't thought about that but now that you mention it, I agree.

I really like the mystery of Edward. I think it's very sexy when a guy (view spoiler)[is intelligent AND good looking. LOL (view spoiler)[

Bella's mother seems to be a bit impatient. Personally I don't like the fact that her mother (view spoiler)[essentially picked a man over her daughter. It appears that Bella moved to be with Charlie because she thought her mom would be happier, and her mom allowed it? I don't like that. (hide spoiler)]

Why was Edward (view spoiler)[so different that second day he sat with Bella and they were lab partners? He was rude to her the firs time he saw her. Now it's like he's almost hitting on her. (hide spoiler)]

Mike seems to be (view spoiler)[nice enough. I don't know where he comes to play in all of this. But I think he's pretty cool. (hide spoiler)]

After reading Ch. 2 I am really liking this now! :o)

It's not my second reading, it's about my 5th lol. but the 2nd and 3rd books I haven't read as much. Yes I am enjoying it.

It's okay no worries. I'll just not read any more until you catch up, no bother :) I have about 10 books I am reading just now anyway lol, some of them I am not really enjoying but want to finish so they are going really slow.

I read about half of chapter four yesterday...home with bad ear infection so not getting much done. I saw my doc on Wednesday and am seeing a specialist on Monday. My own doc couldn't see my eardrum and it might be related to my diabetes...hoping not!

I hope you are okay, don't worry about this at all :) just focus on getting better :)

I watched all the twilight films yesterday (much to the upset of my bf) was good :)

How are you feeling?

MUCH better!! The ENT specialist (not to be gross) said I had a fungus in my ear AND eczema! She had to suck out the "debris" (fungus) and put some powdery stuff in my ear and something else. But the tool she used to suck it all out REALLY unclogged me and I feel human again! My other ear she said has eczema and it's "thick" so I'm simply using hydro cortisone ointment and she said when I go back (about 4 weeks) she might do a biopsy but I'm not sure why. I didn't even ask but it didn't concern me. It was nothing alarming.

I also finished Ch. 4 last night of Twilight. So I'll read 5 today and get back on track.

okay I'll chapter 5 today too :) Glad you are feeling better, I have been having trouble with my ears for the last year and the docs just told me it will go away, think it's time I went back.

Totally forgot to post last night, but I finished Ch. 5

Edward's strength is sexy, right? :o) I am glad that he and Bella finally (view spoiler)[decided to be "friends." (hide spoiler)]

I like the way Edward (view spoiler)[looks at her in a flirtatious way and the sarcasm he always uses on her. Even his hinting at things like how sick she got about the blood and he obviously likes it. He'd give her a "wicked" little smile and she could tell he had a secret of some kind but she still hasn't figured it out. (hide spoiler)]

I'm not sure I'll be able to read Ch. 6 today because I work, get home at 3:00, leave at 3:30 to see my optometrist, then I have to leave from there and I'm going to another concert with my daughter. So I'll try if I can or get home and I'm awake enough.

I finished Ch. 6 last night, now I'm just trying to remember it. LOL

I take it that Jacob is (view spoiler)[a werewolf (hide spoiler)]? For some reason the way she talks about him he seems like he is supposed to be or appear to be younger than she is.

The (view spoiler)[camping trip they went on in the woods seems to be forbidden. Her dad was vague but definitely not happy about her camping in that area. (hide spoiler)]
