Time to nominate your additional monthly read for April.

As we've had a few themed months recently, I'm going back to nominations open to any book*.

- Please make sure to include book link or book cover link. This can be done by clicking on the 'add book / author' link above the comment box. If not possible (because you're using the mobile app), then make sure you include both book title and author.
Your nomination will not count if not in either of these formats.

- *Please refrain from nominating any book that has already been a group read or scheduled to read as part of the Goodreads Choice Award Book Club. These can be found at https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...

- *Please do not nominate a second (or later) book in a series read. Your nomination will be not counted if you do.

- Only one nomination per person will be accepted.

- Nominations will close on Sunday 23rd, 5pm GMT and will be followed by a poll.

Kirsten (kmcripn) I'd like to nominate The Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes. It would also count against the GCAC challenge.

message 3: by Dianne (new)

Dianne Since we're already reading Eleanor & Park for April, I would like to recommend Fangirl. It was the runner-up for YA Fiction so would count for the GCAC challenge and that way we could compare Rainbow Rowell's books.

I was torn between two books that I want to nominate. I think I'll go with Orphan Train. I've been wanting to read it for a while and it also counts towards our Goodreads Choice Awards Challenge.

Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline

It really is a brilliant read (along with the second book).

Virginie (chouettblog) | 350 comments Hello all,

I would like to nominateThe Bone Season by Samantha Shannon.

Just impressed by a young British lady who is so successful at such a young age and reviews have been great.

I didn't know we needed seconds... but if no one want to vote for my selection, I'd love to read that selection.

Alycia (bookhound18) The Invention of Wings was my first and only (so far) 5 star book this year! Would love to join in the discussion if it wins. :)

message 24: by Alycia (new)

Alycia (bookhound18) I deleted my original nomination in favor of another.... Steelheart (Reckoners, #1) by Brandon Sanderson . It would count towards our Goodreads challenges.... :)

message 25: by Sarah (last edited Feb 23, 2014 08:32AM) (new)

Sarah | 1467 comments @ Alycia - I have two five stars so far - Unbroken A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand and The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce out of 11 books so far, but I could use some more.
