So I take it we're skipping "Trousseau: Fashion for Time Travelers" by Genevive Valentine. Too bad; it explored an idea in a really engaging manner. Hidden 'between the lines' is an allusion to what is, apparently, a bittersweet love story.Anyway, I thought I was caught up but I guess not yet. I'll be back when I've read the right story, the one by Mitchell.
Mitchell's story idea is fairly old hat to us now. Still, it's surprising how some of these stories hold up, that were written before the term 'science fiction' was even created. Definitely worth reading... but I'd give it simply three stars.

I really enjoyed that section as well. Well written.

I kind of liked this. The way they use the clock to wind back time was literal but clever. The connections with history and their ancestors was a cool device that I love to see in time travel stories. The ending was a little abrupt but I think the story of this clock would make a cool novel.
