I can never wait until the moment when Harry discovers that Lupin is in league with Sirius and that both are actually the good guys. It never fails to make my heart break when Sirius discusses his plans to have Harry live with him for the summer. Later he cites this as a happy half hour. No matter how short-lived I'm glad they had this moment, even if it made returning to the Dursley's all the harder to deal with. (hide spoiler)]

It makes me think of the feeling I get in September, where everything feels like a fresh start. Beginning each Potter book gives me the same vibe and I can't wait to dive into book 4! I'm almost finished and I really enjoy it. It has been so long since I've read this and I never made it further than the beginning 'The Goblet of fire' for some reason.
I picture also scenes from the movie while reading it.
And I totally forgot that Hermion could be so annoying that it becomes cute!

I've finished the first book and I found a hint about the coming arrival of Voldemort that didn't found before: (view spoiler)[When Harry met the centaurs, Ban and Ronan were talking about the planet Mars being so bright. Mars is known as the planet for war, so that was a sign that a war was coming. (hide spoiler)]

It was so great to re - read this book again. I think that it was years ago that I've read it.

2 % - (view spoiler)[The first chapter alone gives me chills. You really can feel a war coming. Harry and Dudley are attacked by Dementors and I think it’s great for Dudleys story arc that he has a chance to learn from this encounter. Even though it’s a very bad thing to happen to both of them. And Mrs. Figg was waiting her whole life right next to Harry, without a chance to tell him anything about the magic world. (hide spoiler)]

17 % - (view spoiler)[First encounter with the worst character in this whole series, Dolores Umbridge. She is horrible and this whole scene in the Ministry of Magic is display of politics as its finest. Some power-hungry guys, who are to afraid to face the real threads and dangers. (hide spoiler)]

39 % - (view spoiler)[My opinion my biased, because I love this books and everything, but revisiting all this old memories and this story is just so great. Sometimes I just feel like I could cry. They built the DA and I’m hyped for them to learn more things to protect themselves. (hide spoiler)]

53 % - (view spoiler)[Poor Harry seeing all this horrible things in his dreams, but he was able to save Arthur through that, which is great. I couldn’t imagine the Weasleys without Arthur. This time it worked out, we all (probably) know what will happen the next time Harry has a dream this distinct. AND how sad is it to learn all about Nevilles parents? I cry every time I read this. 73 % - (view spoiler)[I really feel sad for Snape when we are reliving his worst memory with James and Sirius, how humiliated he had to feel. And I feel sad for Harry, too. He never had a chance to meet the grown up James and how he possibly turned out to be. All he has are a few things Sirius and Lupin told him. And then seeing how he behaved during school, torturing another student, just because he was different and friends with the girl he liked… I just realized James Potter was a bully in school. 90 % - (view spoiler)[Noooooo, Sirius! I’m crying ugly tears. I cried them when I first read was happened, I cried them whenever I reread this book and I’m going to cry them with every future reread. This is more than sad, it’s horrible and it’s dark times and it’s unfair. (hide spoiler)]

I didn't mind the slower return as the quidditch world cup before it involve some of my favourite scenes but I'm always happiest at Hogwarts <3 (hide spoiler)]

I love seeing the contenders battle it out at the tournament, with the addition of the characters from the other schools. Both Fleur and Victor are favourites of mine! (hide spoiler)]

3/4 of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix -(view spoiler)[ The books make Sirius a far more nuanced character than in the films. He acts far more irresponsibly and his far less trustworthy. I still can’t help but love him though! Neither can I help but love Snape, despite his repeated snide remarks and hatred of Harry. (hide spoiler)]

4/4 of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix -(view spoiler)[ Sirius’ death and Harry’s unending sadness afterwards gets me every time! I also love that Neville could just as easily have been the child the prophecy foretold of. I think this has the most clever and intricate of endings in all the books in the series. (hide spoiler)]

When his position as teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts was announced Harry reminded Ron and Hermione that the role was jinxed and that he would be leaving Hogwarts before the year was out. Of course, that is exactly what happens at the end of the books, although not quite as Harry predicted, I imagine. (hide spoiler)]

Even after all these years and all the many times I have rewatched the films or reread the series I still manage to find another side to his character as well as other aspects to both love and despise. I always thought I'd be a Hufflepuff but I'm a Gryffindor. It's been a while since I did the quiz though, so I wonder if my house would have altered.

Reading this series all the way through has just made me want to return to the first book again, and the innocence there. I get far too emotionally invested as the series continues!

I liked The Cursed Child, because it delivered more HP content, but I preferred the Fantastic Beasts screenplay.

I found in the book a lot of details that they missed on in the film. I know that they can not bring everything in the film, but here it's a competition in what was better: the book or the movie, but I'm not finidng the answer yet.
For me this book was a good introduction to what is coming and to what to expect for a bit later on.

As amazing as the films are there are certain features I wish they had included, such as Peeves, more of Percy Weasley, and the centaurs. They all add so much to the books, for me, although Peeves only in fun factor than in any bearing to the plot.

Oh, yes, Peeves! I found him great on the party of Nearly Headless Nick. There are so many side characters, that they couldn't included it all in the movies, but I found it interesting that you (view spoiler)[can see Voldemort growing during all of the books. Every book adds more of a bit of Voldemort to the story and it's hard to believe that Snape is on Harry's side if you start reading the books. (hide spoiler)]

This is more depressing than I remember. I didn't like what happened (view spoiler)[with Snape and Narcissa. I understand why he mase the Unbreakable Vow (hide spoiler)], but I still don't like it. I did like the part with(view spoiler)[the Muggle Prime Minister and Fudge (hide spoiler)]. That was humorous and depressing. Also, I didn't like the part on train with (view spoiler)[Malfoy. He didn't need to be such a jerk. Breaking Harry's nose and trying to send him back to London was too much. Tonks foumd him before the train left, though, so it worked out fine. (hide spoiler)]
