"I know you still feel that urge to take her mind and give into that Nick."

Ruby was struggling in his arms. "I'm not going to calm down." She snapped. "You can't make me." She knew her parents didn't like him and she knew the law and it was her fault Nick didn't. "Its not okay. Do you realize what is happening? I broke the law changing you and if you don't start acting like a real vampire then we will get the death senentce. How is that okay? Let go of me" She snapped Knowing that she was pushing his buttons knowing that he could feel her mind. Knowing he would want to control her at this point she didn't care. She was tried of fighting.

Nick was done. He was just done dealing with the two of them. Holding on tighter to Ruby so that she wouldn't get away from him and couldn't go after Rose again. Seeing as he also knew that she was trying to piss him off, and she was doing a good job of trying to, seeing as she was making sure to push all the right buttons. Looking at Rose and Jacob again as he kept a hold on Ruby, saying after a nasty look at them. "You need to leave.. I'm done asking you too. I'm kicking you out. And if I have too I will lead you to the door and force you both out of it. So shut up and get out." He said rubbing a finger across Ruby's elbow. Thinking that he'd deal with her and get her to clam down once they were out and gone.

Rose looked at him. "Can't you control your mate?" She asked. "Ruby we both know that I'm right and we both know he needs to start acting like a vampire." Looking at him walking towards him shooting him with another shot hitting him the veins. Turning away to the door. "If Nick knows what is best he won't fight the serum this time." She said.

Ruby was struggling to go after Rose. "Let go of me." She said to Nick. "She needs to die she gave you another shot. I want her gone." Ruby herself was putting up a good fight to get out of his arms. "Let go Nick."

Nick had tired to doge the second shoot. Seeing as he knew that if he got another one he might just loose it, and then they'd have to redo the whole thing that they had just gone through in order for him to get back under control. Not bothering to answer Roses questions. Feeling Ruby starting to break out of his hold, maybe the serum was getting to him and starting to make him weaker than the one had. Feeling her break his hold on her a moment later knowing that she wasn't kidding and she would really kill her sister if she could. Hoping Jacob would be helpful for once and actually try and stop Ruby or at least get Rose out of harms way before she did die.

"Ruby my dear sister give him the last shot." Rose tossed her the shot. She knew her sister was getting tired of fighting and she wanted to be mindless. "Ruby its know use fighting its easier just to be in a mindless bliss. It hurts to fight it I tried and it failed. I don't want anything happening to you or Nick."

Ruby looked down at the shot. "All I want is a happy ending." She whispered. "I'm tired of fighting everything off. I'm just tired Nick." She said. Tears ran down her face. "I'm tired I can't do this any more. I broke the law and this is what I get." Her eyes wondered to Nick. "Please make it better."

Nick had watched Rose through the shoot at Ruby so that she could give it to him. But he didn't think she'd do it. Reaching out and gently holding her arms. "We'll figure this out.... it's going to work out." He whispered in her mind knowing that if he said it out loud her sister would only try and twist his words around. Saying in a low voice "I will..." when she asked him to make it better. "Just hold in there, I'm going to show them out." He said squeezing her arms lightly, before walking around her, and starting for the front door so that he could show both her sister and Jacob out.

Ruby didn't answer him. "Nick please I give up. I can't do this anymore." Tears ran down her face.

"The only way to make it better Ruby is if you give him the shot." Rose said

Ruby looked up at her sister. Walking close to Nick. "I'm sorry." She was about to give him the shot. The thing about Ruby was when you pushed her to her breaking point she would anything to fix. Right now she truly believe that giving him this shot would make things better. Watching the needle go in and then taking it out. "I'm sorry." She collapsed falling to her knees shaking. "Please Nick forgive me. Please forgive me."

Nick hadn't thought that she would actually do it. Remembering for the first time that Avery was still awake. Looking in the living room seeing rather or not if she was still awake or not. Seeing that she had been busy crawling around and exploring everything. Amazed that she hadn't noticed anything was wrong, thus far. Looking at Jacob and saying in a deadly voice "I'm not going to ask again... Leave, before I decide it's not worth trying to get you to walk out of here anymore. And I toss both of you out of here myself." Hoping that would make him understand that they needed to leave. And now.


Jacob caught the threat in Nick's voice. Wrapping his arm around Roses waist and leading her to the door. Not wanting to risk his mate getting hurt. "Come on baby... lets go." Knowing that anything else he could say would only cause more problems.

Rose nodded heading out to the door with Jacob.

Ruby felt like a bad person she gave Nick the shot. "Mama sad dayda mama sad." Reaching for her arms up so Nick could pick her up. Avery was very smart for her age. She knew something was wrong because her mother was crying.

Ruby didn't answer she just stared. She was done fighting. "I give up. I can't do it no more Nick I can't fight"

Nick bent over and picked up their daughter after shutting the door, Walking over and holding out a hand for Ruby to take so that he could help her stand up. "I know baby--- " He said to Avery, then bent down on his knees so that they were on the same facial level. "I know.... and I'm not asking you too. But I can promise you, that we will work this out. No one's going to hurt you, or Avery." He said, reaching out a cupping her cheek, then cocking his head when he heard a car pull up out front and it shut off. Thinking it must be Raven sense he'd made sure that Jacob and Rose had already drove away before closing the door.

"No Nick I'm done. You don't see what I'm saying. I'm tried of thinking for myself. I'm tired I don't want to think for myself anymore. I giving up. Just control me." She said. "Nick you think its hard for you fighting off the feeling. Rose is right its harder to fight off. I'm done they win. No more fighting." Ruby said.

Nick let out a silent sigh. Knowing she couldn't really mean it... Ruby was strong headed and strong willed. He had been able to tell that the first time he had ever spoken to her. There was no way she was just going to give up like this. "I'm not going too..... no matter how hard this is to fight to not control you, I'm not going to let it take over. Because, I know deep down in there somewhere you don't really want me to control you. We both know how that ended the last time I did it. And I'm not willing to do that again. Not after what we did so that you would stay you, and wouldn't end up like the other Females." Hearing footsteps coming up the drive, and then a knock on the door. Not moving to get it yet.

"I don't care" Ruby said. "I don't care anymore. I'm done Nick." Tears ran down her face. "I'm done" Ruby really meant this she was tired of it all. "If you don't take the pain away then you're not doing your job as a mate. You're not the person who I thought you were." Ruby looked up hurt and broken. "I'm not losing my family"

Why didn't she understand?? He wouldn't make her into a mindless zombie like the rest of the Female Vampires. That wasn't Ruby... that wasn't his Ruby. Plus it was her family that was threatening to kill her and their daughter if he didn't start doing it. So really she had already lost them in a way. Hearing another-- louder knock coming from the door. "We'll talk about this later... I'm going to go check and see if that's Raven or someone else." he said standing, and pulling her with him as he did.

Ruby pulled back away from him looking at him then looking down. "You think I mean my parents. I could care less about them, but of course you would think that way. My family is you and and my daughter and if you can't just start acting like a vampire my parents won't just be involved, but my sire, the elders. We will be sentenced to death and so will our daughter. So don't tell me I don't understand. I'm tired of this ongoing fight. I can't take this any longer. I'm not going to lose my family because you can't do a simple task. Maybe your too human." Snapping at him. "No we aren't going to talk about this later we are going to talk about it now. I broke the law for. I saved your butt and now you have one week before the cornation. Before you have to get your crap together and act like a vampire or we will all be dead." Quickly letting her mind seep into his. "I'm tired of fighting this Nick. I give up. I can't do it anymore. Its my job to please and obey you just please do this."

Raven had come in when Nick had finally opened the door, only to find a very upset-- and crying Ruby on the other side of it. And asking her to tell Nick how server it was that she broke the law by changing him. Of cross she had, but he was also her mate. So when whatever had happened to put his life at risk she had no choose. She had; had to save him in order to save her mate. Even if that did mean breaking the law. Seeing as she had also broken the law when she had changed Will and had made him into a half breed. But they didn't need to know about that, nor did they need to hear her smart ass remark that she'd been planning on giving them once the door had opened and before she had seen how upset Ruby was. "Yes , but your parents are also the King and Queen of our world.... and if they can't respect that you had to in order to save your mates life, that's not right. If I found mine, tomorrow and he was human and he got hurt to the point he was about to die.... I might very well do the same thing in order to save my mate. Would it get me in trouble if anyone found out I'd done it? Hell yes. But would I regret doing it if it did save his life? No... not in a million years.... As for him acting like a Vamp male--- I have to honestly say, that I've seen him do it before, when you were hurt and didn't know what you where doing..... it was almost a scary thing to see. I'm not sure you want him controlling your mind, body, and soul. Seeing as that's what happens. Do you really want that?" Knowing once she was done with this, she would have to hurry back so that they could go break Will out.


Nick didn't have much to say after that big long speech that Raven had given. Seeing as it had been almost everything he hadn't been able to put into words to help her understand. And to get her to see that she didn't really want him to control her because it would in the end only lead to trouble. Trouble they didn't need or want.

"I don't care anymore. I'm tried of thinking for myself. I'm tired of having to make my own choices. I'm tired. I can't do it anymore" Looking at them. Rose was right she was tired of all this. "No one seems to get that I want him to control me. I want this I been trying to tell him this for the past several days. I am done fighting. I am done with this all. How many more times do I have to say this?" Shaking her head closing her eyes. "My sister is right I can't do this anymore. I been fighting this for so long. I can only take so much." Looking at down. "I want to please him. I want to make him happy. I want him to take control of me"

"You want to please me and make me happy? Then don't give up... don't make me start controlling you again. I know you want to just give up, and your tired of all of this. But I can't start controlling you again..... you could get addicted to it, or worse I could. And then where would we be? We'd end up like the others... all of them. Plus, we're going to have to take your parents jobs, someday when they steep down. Become the rulers of the vampire race. And I don't want to have to make all the hard decisions and have you tell the people..., I'm going to vale your opinion, I want us, to decide on the hard things together. Rather it's personal or for the vampire race." He said cutting in before Raven could say anything more, seeing as she just wasn't getting it through to her. So maybe he could.

Ruby looked at him he didn't care what was at stake here and there was no changing his view on things. "Stop trying to change my mind. I'm done." She said. "I'm absolutely done. If you don't want to control me get out of my house. Get away from my daughter. You don't know what is at stake here a good leader makes sacrifices to protect the ones they care about and if kicking you out to save Avery is the way I have to go then I will do it. My parents have our death's plan out because I turned a human. We aren't going to have a kingdom to run if you don't let go. I'm not going to have a family if you don't let go."

"Then why are they just now planning this? Why are they just now trying to make me be more like a real vampire male? Why are they sending your sister and her mate over here to try and tare us apart, and making me control you? If they wanted to do it so bad why haven't they tried before now?" He asked, trying another way to make her see reason.

Raven looked between the two, wondering why he'd called her over, if all she was going to do was stand there and watch them talk. Clearing her throat and asking. " Um... would you mind telling me why I'm here?"

Ruby looked up at him you could see how much wear this whole thing has been putting on her. She looked in his eyes and started to break the connection letting him feel the pain she felt. "I'm done and there's nothing you can do or would do for that matter." She was tired she had bags under her eyes. Her body was frail and pale. The elders were trying to get her to break and they won.

Nick felt it as soon as she started to try and break their connection. Hurrying to set Avery down so that he didn't drop her, because if he did happen to drop her because of what Strawberry was doing, or trying to do-- he'd never forgive himself. Gripping his head and pushing it back, trying to make it so that she wouldn't break the connection between them. Finally understanding that if he didn't start controlling her now she'd break their link with each other and this time he might not be able to fix it. Or worse.. This time she might not let him try and fix it. Sensing how tired she really was, both physical and mentality. "Strawberry, stop this..... stop this right now." He said, pushing the words out of his mouth and putting power behind the words when he did so that way she'd have to listen and stop trying to break it.

Ruby froze she stopped what she was doing. She glanced up like she had been called out on doing something wrong. Tears were falling down her face her. She was exhausted didn't he understand that? "Nick I'm sorry for making unhappy can you forgive me?"

Nick knew that she felt like she had been called out on something. And he had called her on something if he really thought about it. He had called her on trying to break what they had. Standing up straight again, and holding up his hands as if to say that he didn't want to hurt her anymore than he knew he already had. "I'm not going to hurt you.... I forgive you." Looking over at Raven a moment later saying "Maybe you should go.. I called you so that you could tell me if I'd be okay sense they gave me three shots but I can feel it wearing off." He said then turned back to Strawberry. "Okay... I don't want to, control you... but I will if that's what you really want."


Raven nodded, staying for a few minutes, not saying anything for a moment just looking between the two of them. Saying "I'll draw some blood just to be safe. But I wont be able to test it for a while." Hearing Nick say that it was fine before going and getting an IV and a tube. Coming back and pulling some blood then leaving knowing he'd heal in just a few moments.

"I made you unhappy and I'm sorry" Ruby looked at him. "I want you to think for me and do whatever you want to me." She said looking at Raven. "I love you so much and will do anything for you."

Whoa.. okay now she was soooo getting out of there, seeing as now the girl was just talking crazy. She thought, putting the tube the blood was in; in her pocket before telling Nick that she'd test it but she really did need to go. And if anything came back abnormal she'd call him right away. Walking out when he nodded that he understood.


Nick had heard Raven when she said that she'd test the blood and call if anything came back abnormal. And it wasn't out of him yet and blah blah blah. Hearing her walk out and then the door shut a moment later. Glad that at least now Raven didn't have to suffer through their disagreement anymore. "It's okay--- I forgive you. Why don't we go sit down so that we can talk huh?"

Ruby looked at him. She looked at him confused wondering if that was an order or if she had a choice. "Are you going to make the hurt go away." Asking softly looking at him. "I'm confused and tired Nick I don't want to be confused and tired. I just want it to be over. Are you going to make it over?"

Nick knew he hadn't said it as an order, seeing as he didn't like the thought of doing this all over again just to come to the same conculsion as before. And the time before that. It was pointless. But then again-- here they were. And she was asking for him to take the pain away, from her by controlling her. And if he could take it away by just doing that. He was willing to give it a shot. Nodding. "Yeah, I am... or at least I'm going to try to at least."

Ruby nodded her head looking at him walking to the living room sitting on the couch. "Nick can I make you happy?" She asked. "By making me happy you'll be happy?" Right now she was weak and all she needed was break from all this. "Are you taking it away now?"

Nick picked up Avery and carried her to the living room setting her down again and then going and sitting next to Strawberry. Would he be happy about controlling her? No. But as long as she was happy and not in pain anymore, he'd be happy about that. Plus he could tell that she was tired and just needed a break from all of this. Maybe in a couple moths they could go back to the way things used to be.. where he didn't need to control her and everything was okay. He thought as he took her hand. "Yeah,-- by making you happy I'll be happy.." He said giving her hand a slight squeeze. "Yes, I'm taking it away right now."



Raven had hurried back to the house, where she had left Grace. Explaining that she shouldn't be gone long and that it was important before she had left. Pulling up out front of it and then hurrying inside, finding Grace going over the lay out of the place they were keeping Will again. Maybe just so she could better remember the lay out or something. Shutting the door and walking into the living room where they had laid it all out. Taking a deep breath before saying: "You about ready to go?"


Grace hadn't wanted Raven to leave, and go over to Nick's and Ruby's. Seeing as she wanted to get to Will and get him out. But Raven had explained that it was important and had assured her that it wouldn't take long. Which it hadn't seeing as she was back and asking if she was ready. Looking up from the floor plan that they'd found online of the place. Nodding only once. "Yeah, I'm ready--- lets go do this." Knowing they'd be going over the plan again on the ride over.

Ruby looked at him and nodded slowly feeling him take over her mind slowly. Her face became expressionless. She didn't want to think she didn't have to think. Looking down at Avery. "Is there something you want me to do for you? My goal is to make you happy and give you a family and everything you want. What are my orders?" She asked.

Nick thought for a moment looking down at Avery, for a moment thinking that they hadn't spent enough time together to for a while. Looking back up at Ruby. Saying "Spend some time with our daughter.... I'm going to go get cleaned up a bit." Hating the fact that she had no emotion on her face anymore.

"Okay my love." She nodded and picked up Avery and as soon as she did Avery started bawling. Trying to squirm away from her mother.

"Dayda dayda." Avery whined. "Mama wrong. Mama wrong."

Nick had gone to head up the stairs so that he would be able to wash up before he did anything else. But then stopped when Avery started whining and complaining that mama wasn't right. It had crossed his mind that Avery might be able to tell that something was wrong with her mother. But had hopped that she wouldn't be able to, seeing as he didn't have a clue on how to start to explain it to her. Walking back over and sitting down next to them, smoothing Avery's little curls to clam her. "Mama, isn't feeling to good, right now baby girl.... why don't you keep her company for a little while; while daddy goes and clean up a little bit. Okay baby girl?"

Avery looked at him and shook her head no. She clinged onto Nick she wasn't going to let go of him. "Mama wrong. Mama wrong." Tears ran down her face she didn't want nothing to do with Ruby at this very moment. There was no emotion and didn't seem like she cared and Avery felt that. She sniffled a little bit.

Ruby looked at her daughter unsure what to do. She wanted to make Nick happy. "How am I suppose to make her happy all I want to do is make you happy Nick?" She wasn't trying to feel and maybe that made her selfish.

Nick held onto Avery seeing as there was no getting her to let go of him. Knowing now that Avery really could sense the change within her mother. He could sense it as well. She had no emotion, no feeling. And that wasn't Ruby. She was lively, loving, caring... all the things a mother should be. And now all those feelings inside of her were simply just gone because she didn't want to think for herself anymore. Drying her tears when they started flowing down her face. Looking over when Ruby asked him how she was supposed to make their daughter feel better and make her happy again. The old Ruby would of known how to do that right away. But this one didn't. This mindless, unfeeling version of his mate and the mother of his child. Not knowing what to tell her. It wasn't as if he could tell her to comfort Avery. Seeing as she might not even remember what that was. Letting out a frustrated breath, and kissing the top of Avery's little head. "Try acting more like yourself... she can sense that your not quit right."

The drive to the compound hadn't taken long. It was the sneaking around the back way without getting caught and then getting inside without getting seen that had taken the most time. But they had somehow done it, and now they were back on the way to save Will again. They had picked to go a different way, seeing as Raven had pointed out that if they went the same way as before it might raise questions. And Grace had agreed, seeing as they'd be knocking out the cameras again. Taking a deep breath and focusing on were Will was being held. Grace had promised herself on the way there, that no matter what she felt, she wouldn't make them turn back this time. She couldn't let that happen. Realizing that they'd kept him in the same room, all this time. Seeing as they went she recognized some of the hallways they'd passed or went through the first time. Waiting for Raven's sign that it was safe to go on.

"What do you mean by me acting like myself?" Ruby asked she wasn't sure if that was order she didn't want to start being herself again. She didn't want to think. "Am I not good enough for you? What do I have to change?" She asked worriedly he never order her to have emotions or order her to be mother. "I'm confused on what you want me to do?"

Avery whimpered softly holding on to her father tightly. "Mama wrong" She whispered. She didn't have her nap in the afternoon and her ear was bothering her so she was cranky. "Mama wrong."

"Nick her ear is red is that supposed to be like that?" Ruby aked.

Nick was trying to sooth his daughters worry about her mother. Seeing as it was plan to see that she was even if she knew it or not, he could tell that she was. And how she was asking on rather or not she was good enough for him had to be hurting Avery too. Sense they had never fought in front of her before, and if he wasn't careful this could blow up into one of their major fights. But frowning when Strawbe--- no not Strawberry. Strawberry was the old Ruby. And this wasn't her. Ruby pointed out that her ear was red, and asked if it was supposed to be like that. Turning Avery's head softly to the side so that he could see it. "No, it's not....." He said thinking that it sounded like the old Ruby. "Would you call David? See if we can't get her in so that he can make sure she isn't coming down with something." He said looking closer at her ear.

"I think his number is in the address book by the phone." He said not really paying that much addition to what she was saying now. Seeing as he had spotted something, and it looked as if her ear was infected with something. "No. I need you to call him... I don't want to leave Avery, seeing as she's so fussy, and she wont let me leave." He said hearing Avery start to fuss again.

Ruby looked at him not comprehending what he was saying. She didn't feel like she had to. Her mind was set to take orders not to be given a choice. "I'm not sure why your telling me and given me a choice?" She said.
