Nick had woken early that morning. Enough time to run down and get something for breakfast and then flash back up with it before Strawberry woke up. Sliding back onto the bed with a plate of food, for himself and a dry piece of toast for her when she woke and if she wanted it. Although something told him that she would be requesting blood for the remainder of the pregnancy. Quickly eating down what he'd gotten, and sat the plate to the side just as he saw her roll over and her eyes start to flutter open. "Hey-- how'd you sleep?"

Ruby woke up frowning. "I slept really its just that I don't have energy. Its like someone is drainning me." Whispering weakly not to mentiom it felt like that she was getting any blood. "Nick I don't know what's wrong" Her stomach was growing more. Her face was pale and sulken in. It looked like she didn't even get any sleep.

Nick frowned seeing what she meant. She had slept, he had known that much, even last night he had known seeing as she had been snoring softly in her sleep before he had drifted off. But she looked tired and pale. Very, very pale. Paler than she should. And that not only meant that she hadn't really gotten any sleep it also meant that she was lacking for blood too. Even though he couldn't understand why, seeing as she had drained three of the slaves yesterday. Finally saying "I'll run and get Raven. She decided to stay until you have the baby so that she can help out and see what's wrong or anything. And also that way we don't have to call her every time we need her to check something."

Ruby nodded her head. "Please Nick,don't leave" Pleading with him not to leave her alone. Feeling like she was going to pass out at anytime. "Please don't go" She was quickly becomeing out of it. Vampires had a tendency to do that when they don't have any blood in them. Everything was spinnning around her. The baby was still growing though. Her eyes shut quickly as she drifted off.

Nick knew she didn't want him to leave. It was so clear, to him. But he would have too to find someone to take the message to Raven either way and seeing as she was right down the hallway in one of the guest rooms it would just be faster for him to do it himself. Flashing out once she was asleep again to go and get her. Busting into Raven's room a moment latter seeing that she was already--- well almost dressed. Seeing as she was just finishing slipping on a shirt. "Uh- Sorry." He said embarrassed.



Raven had just been finishing up with pulling her top over her head when Nick had busted into the room. Giving him a dirty look once she had everything in order. "Ever hear of knocking first? But seeing as I know I'm like---- the doctor or whatever you wanna call it. I'm guessing your hear for a reason and not just because you're making a social call."


Nick just shook his head then said "Yeah, I'm here for a reason. Something's wrong and we don't know what it is. Come on.... and also we should pick her up a blood slave on the way or have one sent up for when she wakes up again. Seeing as she's too pale." He said leading them out of the guest room and too where Strawberry and him was staying.

Ruby's body felt really weak. It started to hurt from the lack of blood. Her eyes open when she heard someone come in. "Nick where are" Crying out softly she wanted Nick. He woukd protect her from getting hurt. Feeling her heart racing and her sweat started to drop down. The baby was growin faster now. Her body was shivering. "Nick what's happening. Someone help" Ruby was so confused about everything. Deep feeling in her made her afraid. "The baby she has to be okay" she couldn't think about losing her. That would destory Ruby and push her over the limit.

Nick walked in quickly when he heard her calling out on the other side of the door. Seeing as he had started to go in but had stopped halfway from opening the door to let Raven know that she might not look that good and to be as nice as she could be to her. But walked in now and went straight to the bed. Letting Raven show herself in. Wrapping his arms around her once he got there. "The baby's going to be fine... everything's going to be fine."

"Raven what's wrong?" Whispering softly. Ruby looked deathly ill. "I feel like I'm going to puke and nothing would come out" Realizing she didnt have the strength to speak anymore. What if the baby wasn't fine? What if it was going to die? She was beginning to worry. She saw two of Nick. "Please hur......" Passing out from whatever is wrong with her.

Nick looked over at Raven worried now. Really worried now in fact. Seeing as this was the second time that she had passed out. Finally telling him to keep her clam when she woke up while she ran and got one of the blood slaves. Dashing out and down the stairs to order that they sent the blood slaves back upstairs now. Seeing someone already going and getting them to bring them back up before running back up and walking into the room. Sitting on the side of the bed that Nick wasn't and reaching over to feel Ruby's forehead.

Ruby felt like she was on fire. Her eyes wanted to be open, but she couldn't open them. Feeling her throat burnning. Her eyes opened slowly again, but she wasn't sure how long she would be awake though. The baby what if someonething was wrong. Her eyes widen in panic which wasn't good because she didn't have the enegry to panic or to do anyting really. "What's wrong?" Asking softly and weakly. Surprise she could even speak.

"Relax... I need you to relax, alright. Someone's coming with a blood slave for you. And then after you drain them I'll be able to see what's going on." Raven assured her not wanting to worry her anymore than she needed to be.

Ruby looked up at her and nodded. The blood slave came in and Ruby manage to sit up on her own. Biting down and draining him quickly. Looking at Raven hoping she will be able to see what was wrong.

Raven had turned away while she had drained the boy they had brought in for her. Seeing as she wasn't squeamish about drinking blood. But she was slightly when she was watching someone else feed. Even when she had been a lady all those years ago her parents had chided her not to watch someone eat. Or stair. It wasn't polite. Only looking back over when she was done and she heard the body hit the floor. "Alright. Now lets see if we can't find out what's wrong..... would you lay back for me?"

Nick watched worriedly. Seeing as his mother hadn't had another kid after him, he didn't know what was normal and what wasn't. And thought if he had at least SOME knowledge on birth's it would of helped a little. Even though this wasn't a human birthing. Looking between both girls before finally turning back to Ruby.

Ruby laid back as Raven told her. Feeling better for only minute until she felt like she hadn't eaten in days again. Trying her best to realax, but she felt sick again. Hoping Raven would hurry up so the problem could be fix. One more day then everything will be perfect. Though the way the baby was going she felt like she could go into labor at any moment. Hearing stories about how females mates had to convince their bodies to go into labor shivering at the thought. Hoping that wouldn't be the case today. "Nick I'm worried"

Nick held her hand looking down at her, rubbing a finger along the back of the hand he was holding. "I know, Strawberry. But you got to try and relax. I'm sure it's nothing to bad." he told her, hoping like hell he was right. Seeing as he didn't want anything bad to ever happen to her or their baby girl. And seeing them like this was killing him.


"Okay, what I'm going to do is, lay my ear next to where the baby is in you so that I can check her out. Make sure her heart beat and everything is okay. And then after that I should be able to tell you what's wrong, and what isn't." Raven explained to them, being sure to look between the both of them. Moving her hair behind one ear so that it didn't tickle Ruby's stomach when she placed her ear on it.

Ruby relaxed at his touch. For some reason he always knew how to calm her down. It felt like Raven was taking forever just to see what was happening. She was growing impaitent. Turing her thoughts to Nick using her nick name. It always made her happy. Taking deep breaths in and out. Her stomach seemed massive compared to yesterday. Was it suppose to be this big?

Raven placed her ear carefully on Ruby's stomach. Listening carefully and inteteal so that she didn't miss anything and also didn't miss judge what was going on. Listening to it for a few minutes before pulling away and lifting her head again. Sitting up before saying "She sounds healthy. Her lungs and heart beat are working the way there suppose to. The only reason I can find that you fell as bad as you do is because of how fast she's growing. Seeing as the faster she grows the more she takes from you. Blood, sleep, energy.. That kind of thing. So from now on you should try and get at least double the amount of everything that you usually would."

Ruby raised her eyebrows some. "So basically bed rest" She whispered. "We won't have to force my body to go into early labor?" She wasn't quite sure about everything. Frowning feeling really sick. "Can you call me in a few blood slaves?" Her voice was feeble and she wasn't really sure on how much longer she could last. "Nick if anything happens to me. Please take care of the baby" Knowing nothing bad was going to happen, but right at this particular moment it felt like she was going to die.

"Yes, bed rest until you have her. Or until I say otherwise. I'll go and get them, but just so I know how many to bring right now. How much blood do you usually drink in a day? I don't believe so at this time, although that could always change. So we'll have to wait and see. Seeing as you shouldn't be giving birth for at least another day or so. But if the baby keeps growing like she is, it is possible that you could go into labor early tomorrow morning, or late afternoon. But that's highly unlikely."



Nick squeezed her hand gently wanting her not to worry so much and also to reassure her that everything was going to be fine and that nothing was going to happen to her or the baby. "I will, I promise. But nothing bad is going to happen to either one of you as long as me and Raven are both here."

"Last night I went through three of them" Pausing a bit to get her breath. "It's been awhile since I had to live off of blood." Whispering softly. Nodding her head some taking a deep shaky breath. "Nick its not okay vampires don't have a medinence to for early labor. Babies tend to stay in their. You would have to persuade my body to go into labor. It's suppose to be a long process." Whispering softly. Ruby looked really bad and there wasn't nothing she could do about it. Wincing at the pain she felt. Shaking it off as nothing because it most likely was the thirst for blood. Her belly was huge. "Raven before you go is she suppose to be growing at this rate? It seems like it's getting bigger everytime I look down once awhile I feel this pain, but its just for blod right?" Looking up concerened.

Nick nodded, leaning over and kissing her forehead softly before looking back over at Raven hoping she'd have more good news.


Raven nodded when she said that she'd gone through three yesterday. Just to be safe she decided that she'd pump it up to five. Seeing as that should be enough for the baby and for Ruby as well. Feeling her eye's widen slightly when she told her about the pain she had been having. But quickly hid it. "In some cases yes.... the baby can grow this fast. Although in most cases they don't. I believe the reason she's growing so fast is because you are of royal blood, and also because of how you became human and then got turned back into a vampire. Seeing in some cases, if the mother or father is any part of royal blood, it doesn't even have to be detect. Even if you have the slightest bit of it in you, the baby will grow faster than a normal vampire baby would. Although once you give birth to her, she wont grow as fast anymore. And she'll grow at about the same rate as any human child would. But yes the pain your feeling right now is just for blood. Seeing as when you do go into labor the pain with be more pronounced than it is now."

Ruby nodded her head some taking deep breaths. How was she suppose to be able to be on bed rest? She couldn't even sit still through a class let alone bed rest. "Nick we could plan the nursey. The royals have this thing called the Vampire express way where you can plan things quickly and it appears right away. Or we could look at houses or plan the wedding. Or do something because I don't know how to relax." Through all this rambling she was becoming increasingly tired. Yawning a little bit. Sleep was coming over her quickly, but the buring pain of thirst was growing by the second. Hoping that Raven would hurry up with the blood slaves.

Nick hadn't even noticed when Raven had left the room to go and get the blood slaves. Having been so focused on Strawberry that she hadn't even been aware until she came back into the room. "Why don't we start with the nursery and then we can start planing the wedding latter." He said softly to her.


Raven dismissed herself running down the stairs
and gathering five of them up and then leading them back up the stairs. Telling four of them to stand outside and not to move until she came back for them one at a time. Leading the first one into the room seeing them talking.

Ruby's eyes widen softly at the smell of the blood slave pushing herself up. The blood slave walked mindlessly over to her. Biting down softly figuring she would take her time with him, but she quickly realized that this wasn't an option. She drained him really quickly wanting more blood. As soon as she was done she felt like she didn't eat anything again. Her eyes looked sulken in deepier. "I don't think I can do this"

"Yes, you can... you can do this. And I'll help you through this any way I can. I love you." Nick said smiling at her softly and then moving a piece of hair out of her face that had fallen into her face.


Raven walked to the door and ordered the next one in. Telling him to go to the bed, waiting by the door so that she could just order the next one in when she drained the second one. Hearing the first one hit the floor.

Nodding her head slowly. "Its just I'm so drained" whispering so softly. As the other blood slave came in she drained him quickly. "Its not working no matter how much i feed I get drained" Ruby was exhausted at this point and giving up seemed really good.

Will ran out of her house in the morning because he was scared. This was all new to him. Though at school he tried to keep his distance from Grace. He wondered where Raven was. Then he saw a guy flirting with Grace something snapped. He walked over to him and put his hand around his throat.

"I've brought five up. So I'm hoping that; that will be enough for both of you. If not then we'll have to come up with something else." Raven said once the second one was drained and also on the floor. Hoping someone would come up and take the bodies away seeing as that was not going to be her job. She thought, as she looked at Ruby, seeing how pale she had gotten despite how much blood she had taken so far.


Grace had woke soon after he had left. Seeing as she had heard him moving around while he had been getting dressed, and then had heard the door closing behind him on the way out. And had gotten up soon afterwords seeing as she had needed to get ready for school herself along with have breakfast before catching the bus. She could of walked but she felt like she could use the extra few minutes the bus ride would take to catch up on a little more rest. Even if it wasn't warm and quite like her room and bed was. Having gotten there a few minutes after the bell had already rung so had to hurry to class. Now it was going to be going on lunch soon, walking down the hall and stopping at her locker to grab a book for her next class after lunch. Seeing a guy come up and lean against the locker next to her's, while giving her a big smile. Turning and returning it before he started flirting with her. But felt her mouth drop open a moment later when she saw Will come out of no where and wrap his hand around the guys throat.

Ruby nodded her head slowly. Feeling awful still hoping the next one would do the trick, by the time she was too the last one was done she wasn't feeling any better. Hearin someone come in to remove the bodies. She couldn't help but shake. "Why isn't this working Raven I drank seven total this morning and afternoon alone. I still feel awful and drained"

Raven frowned. She didn't want to tell Ruby that she didn't know why it wasn't working. But in truth she didn't know. Going and sitting on the bed beside them once the last one was drained and they heard someone coming up the stairs to collect the bodies. Letting out a deep breath in frustration. "I don't know.. lets give it a little while, see how you feel then. Then if nothing changes I can go and talk to your parents and see what they know. That way I can know how to better help you."

Frowning some Ruby looked down and nodded. She didn't feel very good about this whole situation. Feeling like she was going to puke. The baby was growing really fast. "I need some help." Her eyes widen some. "Please please help. I can't last much longer with this baby" Whispering softly.

Will wanted to kill the guy. He didn't care about him at all he didn't even know who this guy was. All that matter was is that guy died for touching Grace. He didn't deserve to be alive. He could feel his wolf coming out hoping that Grace will stop him before it is too late.

"Breath.. slow deep breaths. Okay? I promise it wont take long." She told her, looking over at Nick and giving him a pleading look to please confront and tell her that she'd be okay until she got back. Before walking out of the room, hearing Nick in the back ground already telling her to breath, and to relax.


Nick had seen the look on Raven's face and knew exactly what she was asking him to do without her ever having to say it. Seeing her walk out of the room and run down so that she could talk to Ruby's parents. Hoping it wouldn't take long. Looking at Ruby again saying in a claiming voice. "Breath... deep breaths, try and relax." Smoothing a hand over the back of her's.


Once Raven was out of the room she flashed down the stairs and to where she had heard voices coming from. Walking to the doorway and knocking waiting a split second before saying to what she assumed was Ruby's father. "I need to talk to you, and your wife... Now."




It had only taken Grace a split minute to realize what was happening in front of her after the shock had worn off. Snapping into action a moment later. Grabbing Will's arm and trying to pull him back so that he would let the guy go. "Will no! You can't kill him...." Not only was it wrong, and that he'd get in big time trouble not just with the school but the law as well. But all the guy had done was touch her arm lightly as he had started talking to her.

Ruby wondering what was happening before her eyes. "Is the baby growing too fast?" Asking softly she couldn't just clam down. That seemed impossible at a situation like this. There was so many things to be thought about it. She didn't feel good at all and she wasn't sure how long she was going to last with the baby in her. Raven was gone out of the room quickly. Why was she leaving them they needed her to tell them what was wrong and what was going to happen.

Nick seemed to pick up one something that she didn't or maybe she wasn't suppose to. Or maybe she was too weak to notice a thing. Thoughts were going through her head quickly. Not to mention her heart was faster than a race horse. Then hearing Nick speak to her she wanted to calm down and make him happy taking deep breaths in and out. Trying to clam down, but it wasn't working well. Then she realized what he was doing. "Nick there's too much stuff to be done. It's too soon." The stories she heard frightend her to the bone and thousand possible thoughts on what could happen went through her head.

Ruby's father looked at Raven. "Is my son and his mate's baby okay?" Asking her in a cold authrotive tone. "She still has awhile to go unless if the baby is growing too fast. I think you and I both know that is a dangerous situation for his mate. Have you decied if she should deliever early? If so we can have a house set up and everything they need ready" Her father was always calm in dangerous situation he had to be if he wasn't that wouldn't get him no where.

Will heard Grace's voice. "He touched you." Growling trying to calm down. His wolf wanted out. Relaizing what was happening Will darted to the door of the school. He couldn't be here not right now. Tommrrow was the full moon and his wolf was becoming stronger. He could feel his eyes flash. Knowing he wasn't in control anymore.

((Okay. Yeah it was. I got colored pinices at five below for my mom seeing as I got her one of those grown-up coloring books for Christmas. And I got a cookbook for my dad.))


Nick let out a breath, with her. Just now realizing that he was the one that was taking the the deep breaths in and out. And not her, sure she was trying too but it wasn't working very well. Deciding to try something else instead. "Strawberry--- Look at me okay? Everything's going to be fine. You don't have to worry about anything right now. Just focus on the baby. Your dad and everyone can worry about what to do for the nursery.. Breath."



Raven hadn't really counted on Ruby's dad being well--- so scary. Trying to compose herself as she listened to what he was asking her. "The baby is just fine... but it is growing at, a unusually fast pace. I haven't told her this seeing as I don't want to worry her more than she already is about the baby. But I think that the sooner she delivers the better. The main reason I came to you is because I want you to be aware of what's going on. Along with they need someone to get a nursery ready. Seeing as at the rate the baby is growing she could go into labor as soon as late tonight, or early tomorrow morning."

Grace let out a breath when he let the guy go and then darted out the door. She hated to see him like this. Trying to hide what he really was, but also fighting himself so that his wolf didn't break out and kill the guy. Leaning down and helping him up before also darting out the door to go find him.
